“Had an awful stay at the air bnb in Dartmouth. The inside not as photographed. The free on sight on parking was filled. The car had parked in a way that meant that the key safe was inaccessible. At this time tried to call both provided emergency numbers and received no answer. The flat had nothing left I'm in it. Not even a tea bag or hand soap. Overnight my guests clothes were dirtied when snails climbed over them. Tried contact numbers again and got no answer. After the reservation was finished I contacted the company that owns the location via the air bnb. I outlined my complaints and requested a refund. I was told that this was impossible as I did not contact them during the stay. avoid this company. expensive, poor product, worse customer service”
“booked and stayed at a cottage in shaldon, Devon end of june, awoke second morning at 0645 to find building work taking place next door, this happened monday to friday 0645 to 1800, drills, cutters, heavy machinery etc. Phoned BC on second day, and then again on return home(day early), owner denied all knowledge of building work, even though it had been going on since November! I found planning permissions on line, so she certainly would of had notification. Got nowhere with BC, so as the contract was with owner, asked as i am legally allowed for her contact details, so that I could take her to small claims court. Refused at every request, 14 phone calls, never called back, countless emails with videos of noise, time etc and photos. Asked to speak to a manager, all either on calls or they were all on an away day!? Tried to intimidate me by saying home owner was a lawyer, so what, she certainly didn't know anything about consumer law. I referred them to their T&C's, that contract was with owner and that they could give me her details. At end of my tether now, so I am taking BC to small claims court and providing court with all the emails where I asked for the contact details of owner, obviously plus all photos and videos of building work. Beware of this Company, obstructive at every turn.
Whether they knew or not about the building work, is now a different issue, its the fact they are obstructing me. I will leave some photos of the building work”
“Blueriver Cottages/ The Old Bakehouse, Dartmouth, Devon. ‘Enhanced Covid clean’ had not been completed. Dirt was historical - see photos. Took video on arrival & departure. Couldn’t get in contact with Blueriver Cottages to let them know about the abysmal standard therefore couldn’t meet their Ts&Cs. Sent email, response was unhelpful.”
“Disgusting dirty property and disgusting customer service. No hot water for duration of stay during global pandemic. House run down with damp, cobwebs, rotten carpets and weird smells. Offered £100 by way of compensation.. which we still haven’t received. Rude and sarcastic customer service from “Tom”. Spent weeks going back and forth but unfortunately they felt that £100 would suffice one of the worst stays we’ve ever had. Do not book through this agent!!”

Received an email today about a problem raised on June 8th after hours on the phone trying to get through and loads of unanswered emails.
Many, many businesses and key workers have bust a gut through this period to solve problems. Won't use them again - disappointed , upset and shocked really.”
“Terrible terrible terrible. Booked a holiday for September paid in full. Notified a week later that property is being sold. Due to Corona virus very few options available. Spoke to someone who said they would get someone to ring be back the same day. It’s 8pm and no one rang- poor customer service. Shan’t use them or recommend them to anyone.”
