“Absolutely incredible beans - only issue is that I can never open the jars and there are so many beans jam packed in there that they get all squished when you inevitably have to use a spoon to extract them. Still love them though!”

We have to hermetically seal our jars to keep the beans safe and fresh inside, but I have a couple of tips to make opening them much easier. Try tapping the edge of the lid on a hard surface (avoiding the glass) to break the seal—you’ll hear a pop, and it should open easily. We swear by this method! If you're worried about your surfaces, placing a tea towel over the lid works too.
As for the beans being packed in tight, that’s all part of our mission to bring you as many incredible beans as possible per jar! But if you find they’re getting a little squished, using a softer utensil (like a spatula) instead of a metal spoon can help. Running a little water into the jar can also loosen them up. Due to natural variations in our beans, the stock can differ from jar to jar. Over time, it may become more viscous, and temperature can also affect its thickness. While we strive for consistency, factors like storage conditions and the beans' natural characteristics can influence the stock. Softer-skinned beans may break down slightly more, making the stock thicker and more coloured—but rest assured, it's just as delicious!
