Hello Lisa,
I thought I would update you on your review since we have more clarification on this matter now. HMRC does not permit VAT relief on standard building materials like bricks, even when the buyer is disabled. This is strictly outlined in HMRC Notice 701/7. If we had applied zero VAT on your purchase, HMRC could penalise us if we are audited.
