“I ordered 2 books, via Abe Books, which were supposed to arrive on or before 13 Oct. When they had still not arrived by 17 Oct I contacted the seller. They could not tell me the whereabouts of my order, and so refunded me in full. Disappointing though. I still would like to know which courier they use.”
“Ordered two books through Abe Books, total price £9.11. One arrived within a few days but I wouldn't describe it as good. There was a scribbled note about the second book on the enclosed order receipt but it was unreadable. I emailed them on 6 Jan to which I received a very quick reply giving me a refund and to keep the book as well if it arrived - still hasn't but I received a refund the following day. I saw that the missing book was available on Brit Books site for £2.99, ordered it and paid via Paypal but have heard nothing and the payment is pending. Shocked to see that Abe Books charge such a premium to order through their marketplace, won't be using them again! Free delivery not!”
“Book described as Used, Good. It was certainly used but definitely not Good. Grubby and dog eared would be my description.
My local charity shop would not sell a book in that condition.”
