Placed an order to the United States. Took 3 days for them to pick the items and then it has been 1 week and still no package has arrived. Despite being told it is 2 day delivery to the USA. Three emails have been ignored with no reply as yet. Previous company who owned this would always communicate if there was any issues. I will never use them again way more expensive then it used to be even though its now packed in Newcastle not Bristol. I am disappointed in the new team in Newcastle for allowing such poor standards.

Since being taken over by new ownership my first experience has been terrible. I had items missing in my order so emailed them instantly to request a refund. 5 days later and 3 additional emails asking for someone to respond, I still have not had a reply from them. Disgusting! I am trying to see where I Can escalate this to

The Christmas items were overpriced but looked nice. The delivery never happened as the carrier claimed they did not find anybody home which was a lie, we were home! The items were then supposed to be left in a local shop but they were not and they were eventually sent back to BCS. I have not heard anything from them since despite several emails. And of course they do not pick up the phone. I doubt I'll see my 37€ again...

I wouldn't use this website, they are unreliable and lack in communication. They send my package to the wrong Adress and kept the delivery costs. Would not recommend.

I have been a 6+ year customer of BCS but that will all change after my current experience! They used to offer great shipping to Canada through parcel force and I had zero issues. They then changed to DHL and I started getting custom charges. Not great but stopped me ordering as frequently and I maybe ordered just for Christmas and Easter. This time their website still shows DHL as carrier. Even when placing order it shows DHL as shipper and the fee. When my shipping confirmation came it was from UPS. Not great company, but what can I do now? To too it off UPS are now charging me a $163 surcharge with zero breakdown of how they calculate that fee and BCS don’t care at all. I am disgusted they chose delivery companies that they don’t advertise to use anywhere on their website and that treat customers this way! I will never place an order again!

Delivery was within 2 weeks, all fine there. but most of the products were near or just over the expiry date. The main reason for the 2 star rating is the price gouging going on, every price you see on the website is between 2 and 3 times more expensive than any shop in the UK. I expect a small mark up but not 100%-200%. For example Terry Chocolate Orange, Tesco sells them for 1.95GBP, this shop sells them for 4.99 GBP. Then you have shipping costs on top. I would suggest only using them if you absolutely must.

The items I wanted were in stock when I placed my order. I paid $50 for shipping and the items didn’t arrive as they were out of stock. Unreliable and way too expensive.

I made a large, for me, Cadbury order and I was skeptical when they gave me a delivery date of 8 days later. It would be an overseas shipment and, at my end, we’ve been warned about chronic delivery delays for one reason or another. I needn’t have worried as my shipment was delivered on the promised date. Everything I ordered was in the box and the box was in good condition considering it crossed the Atlantic and was deplaned in NYC. I did not find the shipping charges unreasonable as I have shipped to Ireland recently and was left contemplating if perhaps purchasing a plane ticket and packing the item in my suitcase might be more cost effective. So I knew the possible range of a transatlantic trip. I did sneak a chocolate before Christmas (these items are intended gifts) and I could taste the difference I had hoped for. I also received the free items promised for the order. This is definitely a “do again” for special occasions!

For a tin of biscuits and 4 packets of chips, they want to charge $90 for shipping plus another $50 for fuel costs. Are they mad??

I have used this company several times to send my daughter in the US some things she misses. Very good service and so quick the only thing I don’t understand is why are the goods so expensive, if they are sourced over here they shouldn’t be so much more expensive, hence I can’t do it very often.

Not an expat and never got to England but got close as 40,000 feet but strait up above England. but love English food but can most of it Tampa Florida but in the early 80s the Kamikaze made with rose lime juice triple sec and vodka but it fell of favor just like rum and coke when the USA replaced sugar to HFCS and do not taste the same.

Just awful. Over-priced, slow shipping, disastrous customer service. I ordered a couple of items for Christmas on Dec 2nd, $16 for the goods, $25 for shipping. At the time of writing (Jan 6) the items have still not arrived. Despite sending several emails I have not been able to get a refund, or even shipping refunded. The general attitude from the company has been. 'so what, it's still coming'. Strongly advise avoiding at all costs.

I’ve always experienced good shipping times and despite the occasional damage and short expiry dates I’ve been mostly satisfied with the overall service, but there’s no excuse for the price gouging. A bag of Cadbury’s chocolate buttons for £3.50? £1 pound in Tesco’s. A 6 pack of Walker’s Squares for £3.50? £1.50 in Asda. These prices are bordering on human right’s abuses. Extremely disappointed in them.

The parcel was supposed to have been transferred to the local postage system so there was no tracking and the parcel did not arrive - gutting!

Though I left England as a G.I. bride over 70 years ago, I still enjoy British products, like Yorkshire Tea, Battenburg Cakes, biscuits, etc. I was delighted, therefore, to discover a wonderful company .."British Corner Shop" ... who keep me well supplied with my favorite things. I have never been disappointed with their service.

As a somewhat frequent tourist to England, I've acquired a taste for some of their snacks and canned goods. I placed my first order on a Thursday and received it in California on Monday. Order was 100% correct and all the items still had expiration dates in the far future. Now-- on to enjoy some picalilli relish.

The first time I used British Corner Shop it took a mere 10 days from placing the order to arriving in Vietnam in the middle of the pandemic- excellent service! So I decided to place another order for my husband’s birthday as he is on his own in Vietnam with borders closed. For some unknown reason the invoice had the correct delivery name and address but for customer details instead of my name and address had a generic “Rest of World Retail Sales”. Customs in Vietnam will no release a parcel unless it is person to person. I spent 3 weeks asking for the invoice to be changed to reflect the proper details. DHL Vietnam requested you to change the invoice. DHL UK requested you to change the invoice. Ms Mia Sharkey in customer services replied in no uncertain terms that it was not something you did and in any case it was not necessary to put customer details in the box that states Customer Name and Address. I received notice today that the parcel was destroyed. A further email stated that a refund has been given “as a sign of goodwill” .... but any future orders I should familiarise myself with your terms and conditions! .......... I would like you to familiarise yourself with the terminology “Customer Name and Address” as Rest of World Retail Sales GBP surely does not apply. To say I am disappointed is an understatement! And the turn of phrase used by customer services leaves a lot to be desired.

They don’t even make the effort to package items to minimize melting. Then when you make the complaint it’s not their fault.
