“BURRIS Case # 88512. These people are unbelievable! Just plain HORRIBLE! I sent a Vintage next to new USA made BURRIS gloss black fixed power rifle scope in for repair. One of the reticle posts somehow detached. They pretend they have techs that repair scopes, but they don’t! I get an email from BURRIS 6 weeks later advising me that they cannot repair my scope! They offered me a $300 credit which I did not accept at that time. So I email them back advising that my father who is deceased purchased the scope for me years back and that I wanted it returned to me as it has sentimental value to me! I received a reply from BURRIS Advising me that they had scrapped my scope! They are full of it and had no right to do that without me agreeing to a replacement! Other reputable manufacturers that I have dealt with in the past, LEUPOLD who kept their manufacturing in the USA unlike Burris, would always ask if I wanted my original scope, returned to me in lieu of a replacement. I know of a former employee who advised me that employees have taken so-called unrepairable Scopes home, as they are collectibles. I KNOW THAT I WAS LIED TO! Again, they are full of it saying that they scrapped my scope. If you have a BURRIS scope of sentimental value, do not, I repeat do not send it in to BURRIS for repair. They had no right whatsoever to do what they said they did with my original scope! Someone got a really nice scope. Let me tell you! Horrible business ethics!”
“Did the asphalt in our shop in April 2023, the owner did a horrible job on it. Since then we have tried to get him out to repair, replace, then final straw refund & still NOTHING. He does horrible work and does not stand by his work. Now we get to goto court unfortunately.”
“I only gave 1 star because I couldn’t give a 0. I purchased a Burris Fullfield E 1 3-9x40mm 350 Legend with a 1” tube. Upon attempting to site the scope in, the windage and elevation had to be maxed out just to have the crosshairs barely appear in the scope. I then took it to Scheels and they came to the same conclusion I did. It was not functioning properly. I then sent it in because of their “forever warranty,” it was returned to me, saying it was functioning properly. If that is functioning properly, then I don’t know how they’re able to sell scopes that you can’t see the crossovers in.”
“I originally left a great review for Burris.
I spoke with one customer service person and told him that I had stripped out a couple of the screws on the scope mount that I purchased from them. I admitted that it was my fault because I was using a T10 instead of a T15 to tighten down the screws. I told him that I would be willing to purchase the hardware to fix the problem that I had created. He told me that there was no worries and that he would send me a hardware kit at no charge. I thought that was exceptional service and that is why I left my first review.
Well let me tell you something, that didn't happen. Tracking showed that there was a label created but the product did not move for about a week. So, I called Burris back and explained the situation and another guy told me that he would take care of it.
Here I am 6 to 8 weeks later with no new screws. Keep in mind that I was willing to pay for the hardware. Come on man!! 🙄”
