We are looking at a zip & link Superking as my wife prefers softer mattresses and I prefer firmer. Plus we can't get a Superking through the bedroom door! Are all your matresses suitable for the slatted wooden bed base we have or are there specific ones that are more suitable? Many thanks, Stuart

Hello Stuart and thanks for your message :) All of our mattresses are suitable for a slatted wooden base - I wouldn't say that any of them are more or less suitable than others. We also sell ottoman beds that have slatted wooden bases that are compatible with all of our mattress models. We do offer most of our mattress models as rolled - which helps our customers with access - but we can also do a zip and link. Regarding your wife and yourself liking soft and firm tensions - we can split the tension on most of our mattresses, with one side firmer and one side softer to suit your needs. Splitting the tension of the mattress would make the product bespoke, and non-returnable, non-exchangeable - but still covered by our ten year guarantee. I would advise coming to visit us in London, 76 Queenstown Road, SW8 3RY if at all possible. You can try out all of the mattresses in store and work out which one will best suit you. Do your beds arrive in parts which are then assembled on delivery? If so that would seem to mean that they are easier to get up stairs, etc. Also, I live on a narrow lane which, although I have a big driveway for parking, the road is not suitable for very large lorries.

Hi Mark and thanks for your question. All of our beds break down into parts and are assembled by our team in your room of choice. The largest part tends to be the headboard. If you are concerned about any access restrictions - please some pictures of the restricted area to hello@buttonandsprung.com and we can best advise. Our delivery van isn't a lorry! Do your mattresses have ‘motion isolation’ at all? Thank you

Hi Allison, Many thanks for your question. Each spring inside our mattress is isolated inside an individual pocket (pocket springs!) which works to isolate movement across the mattress surface. If you are a particularly sensitive sleeper, I would also advise going for the largest mattress the room can take, which will also help with any movement. If your bed is in good condition - it might be worth seeing if you can donate it to the British Heart Foundation - as they will sell it on. I hope this helps? Best, Sophia
