The first thing you notice when you walk in is the strong smell of urine. The coffee was nice, but the service was poor. The staff looked miserable and seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
The shop was dirty, the furniture was worn out, and the toilets were absolutely disgusting.
Very disappointing experience. I definitely won’t be going back.”

Once again your team on this occasion Molly, Shauna & Seb not only delivered excellent customer service and drinks but did with both compassion warmth and friendliness.
We are regulars in the coffee bar 3 ladies of a certain age having the worst day with car breaking down being outside in the heat for over 4 hrs and an unacceptable car purchase gone wrong.
These guys seeing our distress welcomed us with their usual warmth and concern for our well being. Just what we needed. Coffee, food and drinks are always tasty and well presented.
The only thing I’m going to mention as it’s not down to them is I agree with others who comment interior, cushions and furniture looking tired and shabby.
Having worked in meadowhall for over 15 years have frequented this store many many times. I have recruited staff and have an NVQ in customer service so appreciate when it is EXCELLENT so THANK YOU ALL 💖”
“Caffé Nero in Chester uk, bridge Street, Chester. And caffé Nero, east gate, Chester uk. Have bad customer service, especially the one in bridge Street Chester, bad customer service, bad hiegiene, no WiFi; when asked why. Their answer, never conving. You to do something about”
“Visited the Leckwith cafe in Cardiff this afternoon. Queue longer than your arm, but only 1person serving. Took nearly 30 minutes to get 2 cups of coffee. Loads of tables littered dirty cups, plates etc.”
“Buying a voucher via the app, means a huge battle to get it while they happily and quickly take your money. I usually buy Costa vouchers but for once I made an exception and the emails back and forth for solving the mystery of a £10 voucher is beyond ridiculous! It goes without saying that I will never be buying a voucher or anything from Nero unless I am in the middle on nowhere and Nero is the only option to get a coffee.
Their coffee is good and often staff in cafes are nice but after this experience I’m so put off Nero! A natural talent at losing customers”
“The coffee is usually good but it depends who is making it. There are two people who I avoid if possible. They are so busy chatting with each other that they’re not paying attention to what they’re doing. Sometimes their noise level is so loud that it becomes annoying.”
“One very dissatisfied customer before me didn't help. Held my coffee while waiting for sandwich to be heated up. Asked for a tray several times. Coffee luke warm, sandwich not heated through. Code to toilet changed. Plates etc still left on a number of tables. Awful.”
