"I would give zero if I could. Reading gate store sent my phone to be repaired and it took three weeks. The worst bit is, they refused to repair it due to \u201cwater damage\u201d even though it has not got wet and only 3 months old! But here\u2019s the best part.. when they handed the phone back to me, there are two large cracks in each corner which were absolutely not there when I handed it to them. The response? A shrug of the shoulders and told to email customer service! Really? So customer service was called and after waiting 40 minutes to get through I\u2019m told that they can\u2019t do anything and it\u2019s a store issue. So I go back to the store and guess what? Told \u201csorry nothing we can do, call customer services. So at this point I\u2019m raging. I\u2019m paying \u00a330 a month for a phone which was NOT water damaged but damaged by car phone warehouse, obviously when they opened it up and they are claiming that the water damage is due to the crack which was not there when I handed it over. The store won\u2019t do anything they have a don\u2019t give a **** attitude. So I\u2019m now stuck in a two year contract with a phone which is fit for the bin. Never ever again will I use carphone warehouse. I\u2019m now having to go to trading standards. The stress this has caused me is crazy, awful way to treat customers!!!"

"Ordered any paid upfront instore. On collection the phone had been reduced \u00a320. As I went instore I want entitled to refund, if I'd bought online to collect or over phone I would be entitled to the reduction. Unfair policy. Avoid and shop elsewhere."

"Beware when doing a phone upgrade via their website. It is possible to end up buying a new phone contract instead of doing an upgrade. During lockdown I had to use the website. Without understanding their invoice I didnt realise I had not upgraded my old phone. Normally i would go into the store for my upgrade. Their response was very matter of fact. You had 14 days to cancel. End of. No sense of feeling. No sense that there might be something wrong in their website map. Vodafone who are helping me out of this mess say this is quite a common problem. I am not the first person. No warning that I have left the 'updated part of their website. very very disappointed. \nThey seem more worried about their response times. Poor customer service.\nI will not be renewing with them in 2 years time."
