“The car was ok. However the clutch was very stiff and the car seemed to eat petrol. So, I can only say the car was ok.”

“121 gave a good price for the car including breakdown and no others offered this. I am disappointed with the requirement to have£2000 on my credit card as I've taken out excess insurance and most have£400-500 required.”

“The price was good and courteous representatives on site. I didn't know the car pi k up site was off site. A little more work has to be done with the pickup. The pick up vehicle had no indication that it was a shuttle. The driver had no identification that he was a rental shuttle. This is very unnerving for a female travelling by herself. The driver at the destination was not sure where the rental office was. Otherwise the staff at the rental office itself were very good.”

“'You may... / possibly be asked to... / ensure adequate funds'... says the blurb... Not good! Either subscribing the extra insurance is sufficient or it is not!; in which case, why bother if the money is held 'hostage'? Clients trust your honesty; why do you doubt the clients' honesty? “POSITIVES Good price and instruction, very fast confirmation of booking. NEGATIVES My criticism would be 2 fold : Firstly you do not know who you have booked with until it is too late (i.e. you have paid). My booking is with OK Car, which has some terrible reviews and had I know this I may not have placed the booking. Lets hope that I have no issues. Secondly, you do not know whether the collection of the vehicle is on or off of the Airport again until you have booked and this is important with a family of 5 and 4 cases to lug around. These two things make a difference when making a decision.”

“Website easy to use, quick response time for the voucher delivery. Can't rate higher than normal because it's my first time with them and so far I haven't had the car yet or needed to try their customer services. If all goes well with this rental then will use them again without a doubt.”

“The booking process was easy but it wasn't until I received the paperwork that I found out the hire was with Firefly. I have had issues in the past with Firefly not honouring the details of online bookings and would not have used them again if I had ben made aware of which company was being used, so I wait to see what happens when I pick up the car.”

“Using Carrentals is not easy to determine the performance / track record of the various companies. It's basically pot luck if you get a good provider. They should have much clearer feedback sections, then folk would choose on performance as well as price.”
