“We had 4 tickets booked for an event at the racetrack and unfortunately my sister who is also a cancer patient become unwell and was taken back into hospital. Before the event I emailed them and explained the situation that we were not able to attend. They then said they could not help unless I provided evidence that my sister was in hospital, which I did. After numerous emails I have only been offered a credit for my sisters ticket only???????????? I am now in the process of giving my sisters ticket to the Managing Director as I feel their need is more than mine. If booking tickets be a 100% sure that you do not become ill as you do not want to go through what I just have with them.”
“First time at this race course. Never again!! Spent most of my day queueing. Over a hour for burger and chips and missed most of the racing. Very chaotic and not well organised.”
“We celebrated a birthday at Chelmsford Races on 5th November and I have to say, it was a great day. Great choice food wise and all food was really lovely. Service was brilliant and the staff were all extremely polite efficient and so friendly. I can't comment on prices as I didn't organise the occasion.
We will definitely be returning.”
“Visited for first time yesterday and being a regular race goer i found it had no signposts to racecourse or signposts saying racecourses and entrance not informative as we drove past it and had to come back on other side of the carriageway,
Now the good news,
We had booked a table for the carvery in the Fairwood Brasserie,
The staff were fantastic continually asking if we needed anything, the carvery food was excellent and great value,
The room atmosphere and ambiance was another plus as was watching the racing either on the screens or on the veranda getting the final furlong,
We both had a great day and it’s very possible we will be back tomorrow Sat 5th Nov,
