“Absolutely horrendous getting out of the venue, the security had NO training on how to direct traffic, it took me 2 hours getting out, Chelmsford City Racecourse you should be ashamed of yourselfs this will stop people attending your shows I will never visit you again, I had to get out of my car to tell the security how to do their jobs, I paid extra for premium parking which at £25 was a complete waste of my money, time and patience, with just one exit for Fields and fields of cars is not acceptable. You never learn from experience and you don't deserve to host at your event if you can't employ and train security.”
“Absolute shambles! Had to walk miles through poorly lit fields. Our pre booked taxi refused to pick up from main carpark, told to walk to Blackly Lane or cross the dual carriageway? Local taxi companies ( Yelo ) and the racecourse really need to communicate better. The upshot is we missed the taxi because we couldn’t get to the lane, stewards gave no choice, taxi wouldn’t wait, we had to walk 8 miles home.”
“Good Friday absolute shambles parking nightmare, staff just standing around, only 1 entrance ended up in far field, missed so many races, it was over subscribed and badly organised, have been before quite a few times always find it a bit of a muddle this time it was not somewhere I wish to return to. No disabled parking”
“We had 4 tickets booked for an event at the racetrack and unfortunately my sister who is also a cancer patient become unwell and was taken back into hospital. Before the event I emailed them and explained the situation that we were not able to attend. They then said they could not help unless I provided evidence that my sister was in hospital, which I did. After numerous emails I have only been offered a credit for my sisters ticket only???????????? I am now in the process of giving my sisters ticket to the Managing Director as I feel their need is more than mine. If booking tickets be a 100% sure that you do not become ill as you do not want to go through what I just have with them.”
“First time at this race course. Never again!! Spent most of my day queueing. Over a hour for burger and chips and missed most of the racing. Very chaotic and not well organised.”
