“A amazing experience from start to finish Very friendly staff starting with first greetings and hair and make up doing by the lovely ladies Emily and Lorna and the photo shot by the lovely Zoe and the the end with the choosing of my photos by the lovely she who helped wonders and didn't even pressure me once whilst choosing X Thanks guys amazing day by all xx”

“A brilliant studio, the staff were professional and polite throughout the whole experience. They instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease and were extremely hospital and accommodating to me and my partner. I would 100% recommend to anyone.”

“Felt pampered and well looked after from start to finish. My hair and makeup looked great, the photographer was friendly and helpful and my 6 week old little boy was adored by everyone, the photographer was great with him too and kept us all happy on a very hot day!”

“Me and my mother came in for a makeover and photoshoot around two weeks ago. This came about as I was approached in a local supermarket to enter a ‘competition’ to win the makeover and photoshoot, which I then ‘won.’ The makeover and photoshoot itself was really good, the makeup artists were lovely and the photos looked amazing. However afterwards we were taken into a room and told that we would have to pay between £400 and £1200 for our photos on a disc. When my mum and I told the lady that we would not want to be purchasing as it was too expensive, she looked almost shocked. We were offered the first full body shot for free however this was the ‘test’ shot the photographer did at the start which wasn’t properly posed so it wasn’t the best picture. It is obvious that the ‘competition’ isn’t actually a competition it’s just a way to get people in the studio so they will pay copious amounts of money. While the experience itself was good and the people were very helpful and accommodating, I feel this is a little dishonest of the company, I have seen other reviews online of people being pressured into spending lots of money after having ‘won’ this competition. In fact, when I told my friend about this experience I couldn’t be believe it when she told me you had done the same thing to her and she is getting so many calls from Chique to say that she has also ‘won,’ which clarifies that this is not a competition it is just a way to hopefully get some money out of people. I understand that the women said over the phone that only the first picture was free, however while the woman on the phone was nice I also felt a bit pressured to go with it, I almost felt bad not to as at first I thought I had genuinely won so it would be rude to pass up the opportunity. I have read other reviews of people paying over £1000 because they feel pressured to. So while there was no lie involved, there is slight dishonesty in calling it a competition when it isn’t really. Overall, I give the company three stars because your staff were amazing and the photos were lovely. This would be a great experience for someone who wants to spend £1000 for gorgeous professional photos, however the competition cover up to get people into the studio is slightly dishonest, it is not a competition at all, you let everybody ‘win,’ in the hope that they will spend their money, so then the company can ‘win.’”

Hi Leah Thank you so much for your comments, we appreciate you taking the time to write to us. Firstly id like to address some of your points above. We are genuine family run business, we all work really hard to give everyone a brilliant experience at Chique and want everyone to leave feeling a million dollars. When we give people the opportunity to come into the studio they have won the experience, this is up to 4 hours in our studio, unlimited refreshments, hair and makeup for up to 4 people. A quality shoot with our professional photographer and a chance view your edited images the same day. The experience to buy on line (which is available) is at least £129.00. You are correct in saying that there is an opportunity to purchase any images you like on the day, there are a range of packages that start from one image to all images , in some cases this is well up to 100 images. When families come we like to get a real mixture. However , there is absolutely no obligation to purchase, if you have just come the experience, this is fine, there should be no pressure to purchase. If this was not the case or you felt pressure I can only apologise and please rest assured this will be looked into further. If your offer was inclusive of a free image then this is normally the first image taken however wouldn't offer you anything less than our very high standards. I would like to offer you the chance to come back into the studio of your choice, redo the day and allow us to correct the issues you are unhappy about. We feel very strongly about these reviews and as you can see a negative review in studio is very rare indeed. I will send you my number direct and we can arrange to chat about this further, again please accept our apologies but please be aware we are very genuine and do all we can to please our customers.
