“My first time trying chocolate beans after seeing an advert on Facebook. I have only tried one sample so far but so smooth and really tasty. A real treat.”
“Absolutely delicious and luxurious little chocolate drops ! They melt in hot milk and form
The most amazing , silky smooth hot chocolate!
Will definitely order more! I ordered the bags of the milk and dark beans , need to try other flavours too š”
“Apparently these are supposed to work in all hot chocolate makers, so we tried this in our velvetiser, even waiting for the milk to warm slightly only for the chocolate beans to get stuck and make a horrendous noise. Machine not been right since.”
“We have recently discovered cocoa canopy tried the super dark beans we make the drink in a velvetiser makes a beautiful hot chocolate drink so much smoother and better than hotel chocolate nibs, much better value as well.”
“Thought Iād give this a try. Wow they are a whole new experience in hot chocolate! No overly sweet or cloying flavour just smooth silky chocolatey loveliness
And you can dial up the flavour with added depth in using the darker bead mixes
Itās a whole new level of alchemy!
You can tell I enjoyed my chocolate explosion š„”
“For me, not very good.
Am a connoisseur of Hotel Chocolat, and lament their sale to Mars confectionary. At a price of Ā£600 million of the Kingās finest pounds, who can blame the seller for cashing in? Me, in fact. I blamed them for a long time, but have eventually given up the grudge.
Kind of.
I totally agree hotel Chocolat is shamefully overpriced..but..itās good. Something I hope the new parent company,Mars, does not dilute or tamper with. But we know they will.
So I committed hot chocolate adultery and looked further afield to maintain my luxurious chocolate fix. I am shocked that I hadnāt come across this marvellous company called cocoa canopy before. With amazing reviews of āthe best hot chocolate I have ever tastedā I rushed to take advantage of their trail offer: 3 singles serves for FREE , but to add Ā£1.95 (apparently for āpostage and packageā, but who knows).
I was so excited. Had I found a hotel chocolat alternative at 10% of the cost? I mean the website is unashamedly a shameful copy of hotel Chocolat. A subscription offer, a hot chocolate machine, and all the variables identically copied from hotel Chocolat. I mean at Ā£600 million who can blame the founder of cocoa canopy wanting to cash in on that chocolate greed? If you canāt beat āem, join āem, right? Well cocoa canopy has certainly tried that, even if they start their website āfounded by an ex Harrodsā chocolatierā¦ā. Hmmm. Maybe it was indeed someone who did six weeks each summer selling chocolate on the shop floor when he/she went back from uni (versity for the ancient population who may be reading this) for their summer holidays, and now carries around as a crusadr, with the banner āex Harrodsā chocolatierā.
Again, who knows.
But here we run into a problem. I was excited to know my hot chocolate was ādesignedā by an ex Harrodsā chocolatier (admittedly the naivety of someone growing up in a prior, simpler, generation trying to navigate the modern world) and it arrived. This is the best part; arriving happened very quick, maybe two days.
The problem is it is 10% of the price for a reason. Itās awful. Itās simply sweet, sickly sweet. All you can taste is sugar with absolutely no tones of any chocolate goodness to be found delighting the palate.
An utter, utter let down.
Am sure the company will do well with the masses, but honestly, your average tub of hot chocolate for less than a fiver on any supermarket shelf, is far superior.
Youāre paying for their attempts at marketing.
Needless to say my £2 is spent, never to be seen again, but never to be spent again with this company.
I want to also say this review was left after the company sent me a link to leave a review. I do not know where their links leave reviews, but am guessing on their own website. This review will therefore probably not carry the air or intent of the company to post it on their own website and merely conceal it.
If this is the case, in todayās world of censorship, I will post it elsewhere.
Only because you asked me to write it.”
“So yummy! Easy to use and tastes divine. Had it with semi skimmed milk but wished I had full fat or soya as that would have made a creamy drink like having a bar of chocolate. Yum!”
“Iām really in to my ingredients when it comes to hot chocolate and avoid certain things.
I found your company and read your story and it sounded perfect!
Iām a super dark hot chocolate drinker so went for the super dark and it did not disappoint.
True depth to the flavour and just a beautiful creamy drink.
Also fantastic to snack on whist waiting on my drink!!!”
“Tried the free taster sachets. All three flavours lovely & worked well in my hot chocolate maker giving a lovely creamy hot chocolate, so much so that I have now ordered full sizes in dark, salted caramel & milk/dark. Recommended for anyone who loves a quality hot chocolate without all the nasty additives”
