“I have been using several products from Colorado Real Soap for 5 years and have been happy with all of them. It’s a special locally owned shop with high quality products formulated and hand made by Val. She’s an amazing source of information and is always willing to be helpful. She’s kind, patient and always is available to explain anything you want to know about skin care and her creations. I can’t recommend Val and her Colorado Soap Company highly enough!”

“We first experienced “Colorado Real Soap” during my neice’s wedding in Crested Butte. My husband fell in love with the lemongrass sage fragrance. That was two and half years ago . I have ordered soap continually from Valerie since that time! We have tried many artisian soaps through the years. Valerie‘s combination by far outshines any of those products. We love her soaps and will continue to use them via mail in Tennessee. Marian Stewart”

“The BEST products for your skin ! I Discovered this amazing soap store 5 yrs ago, after our first trip to CB. I Have been back to her store in person 3 times since. I also order online 2-3 times per year, to stock up. Being from Arizona, my sensitive skin can get super dry and dull. I have tried so many different “natural” good for you products, nothing delivers even close to Val’s handmade creations, they are truly special. I love that she makes them in small batches, so I know they are fresh. I have tried ALL her products and LOVE them all! Would recommend each of them. Some of my favs are the revital eye cream (game changer), rose hip and vitamin c oil, rains drops & dew drops face cream, hydrosol spray, bath salts, bar soaps, cold cream cleanser, retin alt repair oil. Not to mention everything smells like the great outdoors, Colorado wildflowers and mountains!!! Always such great personal customer service, and very knowledgable. I also Love that this business is woman founded, owned and operated ! All Orders are packed so carefully and thoughtfully, always with a handwritten note from Val, expressing her gratitude. Customer for life!”

“Last year my sister gifted me a yummy bar of your mountain laurel soap. She purchased it in Crested Butte. This summer she told me she wished that she had gotten some for herself. “Oh my gosh we were visiting CB and wanted to buy gifts for our granddaughters and Valerie helped me pick out very individual gifts plus some for our neighbors and myself as well. Then we went to dinner and thought we lost our bag containing the gifts and when I contacted her she offered to open early so we could replace them. Just a wonderful quality business and a great woman. I’ll be ordering from the website in the future. So grateful we walked up those stairs to her shop.”

“Our son moved to CB over a year ago. He has given Valerie’s soaps as gifts, and ever since I’ve been trying more products. I really like the natural products that smell like the great outdoors. If you’re in CB check out her cute store!”

“Dew drops are the only thing that helped my dry skin! I have eczema on face and have seen a huge improvement in just a week of using the hydrosol and dew drops. I tried every possible cream on this planet but nothing worked until I tried the drops. This is a miracle cream.”

“I call these amazing products "Valerie's Invaluables." Finally—a whole shop for sensitive skin!! What a revelation! 'Cause don't we all really have sensitive skin? We're certainly sensitive to the results! What a difference a knowledgeable formulator makes, wow. These products are exceptional. My skin noticed right away. And after spending the better part of a week the week before with red skin and hives (!) after using the product from the last company I tried, I am sooo relieved. It's so hard to know who to trust these days. But Valerie is also exceptional. (And a sweetheart!) I am so happy to have found her trustworthy brand of natural formulations. (And her encyclopedic website that explains _everything_ she uses.) A safe haven in the health-and-beauty-product world in this time of anything goes. (Truly heaven sent for someone not in favor of hives!) Valerie's creations are unique and exceptional, and it's a true pleasure shopping at her one-of-a-kind shop. (Did I mention exceptional…?) Thanks, Valerie! This is so great what you do… and the great way you do it! Appreciate it!! “Wow, this is such a great shop. I found it serendipitously a few months ago, and have been truly delighted with everything I've tried. And excited to try more! The shop owner Valerie has founded a business where she really gets all of the aspects right. And there are a lot of aspects to a business like this! Her products are fantastic, her customer service is so thoughtful, and personalized, and her ethos is all about health, nature, and positive experience. It's just a pleasure to come here, and then to look forward to all of the wonderful creations soon to be heading to your door. I also have to add that I don't think I fully appreciated what a difference in quality a small-batch shop makes. Her products are sooo fresh! And handcrafted. She's making them in, like, nano batches! That's really not something easy to find these mass-produced days. So, you're safe from invisible microbial growth, of course, but you're also getting much fresher/more potent versions of each of the lovely ingredients she's put together. It's a meaningful difference. Most of the products I've bought from other companies don't give me any of the who/where/why/when details—sometimes even just the ingredients list is a chore to find. And no one if offering anything near the thoughtful explanations she's compiled on this encyclopedia of a website. When you see Valerie's handwritten dates on the label, you realize immediately that this is a product that's been made with care. I think "care" is the keyword here. You can feel her caring in everything she does. This is not some faceless seller or anonymous manufacturing company. And that really makes all the difference. So glad I found this wonderful shop!”

“Val is amazing, providing over the top customer service. Returns??? Why would you want to return any of her amazing products?! If something doesn't work correctly, like a pump, she sends you another bottle of the product. Every product I have tried is gentle, effective and smells wonderful. Check out her blog posts; I guarantee you'll learn something!”

“I bought 3 large soaps and a beard/skin oil. The soaps turn an ordinary shower into an extraordinary self care pampering! The beard/skin oil is equally special! “I’m from Iowa. We have been going to CO. for yrs., but we never have been to Crested Butle, CO. What a BEAUTIFUL place. I’m know we will be back for sure. I decided to go upstairs to REAL SOAP. I bought the Olive Oil, soap. I LOVE IT…It has a peppermint smell. It makes my skin so soft & refreshing. The owner (Val), was amazing. We talked & laughed, like we were best friends. I will definitely be visiting again & ordering. Thank you, Val, & keep making great products.”
