I have staining on my composite deck from sun-tan lotion. The deck cleaner cleaned the deck and was able to lighten the stain area where I had brushed harder. I should be able to get out more and more stains out with a couple more attempts. This product has done more than others that I've tried.

Thank you for the 5 STAR Review! Unfortunately, most use Corte Clean reactively to clean a composite deck. When one uses Corte Clean reactively, like maintaining most things, it generally costs more time and money. Corte Clean is no exception, especially when cleaning sun-tan lotion or other common stains. If you are reactively cleaning this specific stain, one (1) Corte Clean application will likely not get your composites thoroughly Corte Cleaned, as you have unfortunately experienced. This is why the Corte Clean label directions state “•Rinse with water. Water magnifies stains. If stains are still visible, repeat application process. Composites that have tough stains, been neglected or previously cleaned with other products and/or sealed may require several applications & additional Corte Clean.” It is extremely important to do this to a thoroughly dry composite surface. We HIGHLY suggest you then follow the final Corte Clean label direction which states “•When Corte Clean no longer becomes dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. Corte Clean is designed to continue to clean any time it receives moisture until thoroughly rinsed. A white residue may remain until thoroughly rinsed (use a brush if necessary). Thoroughly rinse composite prior to using.” The best way to “thoroughly rinse” is to apply Corte Clean before your composites receive moisture from rain or snow. In the future, should you decide to generally spend up to ½ the money and approximately 2/3rds less time keeping your composites clean, we highly suggest you “•Use Corte Clean at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear” in this fashion as the Corte Clean label directions state. Corte Clean will then soak into the pours of your composites and activate and re-activate any time it receives moisture until thoroughly rinsed. Generally, if sun-tan lotion or other common stains land on your composite deck and it receives moisture, the stains just disappear. This is because the Corte Clean has soaked into the pours of your composites and can easily remove the stain from the bottom up, rather than the top down. Additionally, if the sun-tan lotion has been blocking the sun from evenly bleaching/fading/weathering your composites, you may experience weathering issues which will generally go away in 10 to 20 weeks on their own. Please carefully review www.corteclean.com and call if you have any further questions, as we wish to save you time & money keeping your composites thoroughly clean. (415) 924-9500 X 1

Thank you for the FIVE STAR REVIEW! Please consider saving yourself up to 1/2 the MONEY and 2/3rds less TIME/LABOR keeping your composites clean by proactively using "Corte Clean at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear." We HIGHLY suggest you follow the final Corte Clean label direction which states “When Corte Clean no longer becomes dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. Corte Clean will then soak into the pours of your composites and activate and re-activate any time it receives moisture until thoroughly rinsed so if you spill something on it or mold spores land on it and it receives moisture it cleans it. Please let us know if you have any questions. (415) 924-9500 X 1

Thank you for the ***** Star Review! Please consider never letting "tough stains, mold, moss, and grease spots" on your composite deck by proactively Corte Cleaning it. Generally "moss, mold" only occurs on composites that are severly neglected and not properly proactively Corte Cleaned "at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear" as atated on its label directions. Proactively Corte Cleaning will generally save you up to 1/2 the MONEY and takes approximately 2/3rds less of your valueable TIME. The best way to do this is "When Corte Clean no longer becomes dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. If grease stains are noticed, immediately proactively Corte Clean it, as composites expand and contract with heat and cold, opening composite pours and solidifying the grease and oil allowing it become more difficult to clean. If the composites are then allowed to contract with cold weather and the grease/oil is allowed to freeze, it can be more difficult (cost more TIME & Corte Clean or Money) to remove, especially if Corte Clean is not proactively used. Please save yourself time and money keeping your composites clean by proactively using Corte Clean. If you wish to thoroughly discuss, please give us a call. (415) 924-9500 X 1

Wow! This cleaner just works, and the effort is minimal. I followed the directions in the video, which were very clear. The results were stunning. My deck looked as good as the day it was installed. We had a cookout with friends the day after I cleaned the deck, and everyone was so impressed with how beautiful it looked.

I have used this product for four years on my Trex deck. As long as you follow the instructions you will have excellent results. Make sure your deck is dry and leave the product on and keep it wet for the allotted time and you will have good results. Also make sure you check the date on the bag to be sure it hasn't expired old product will not have the same results.

The product does exactly what it says it will. Our deck is 10 years old and looked awful. We did do the process twice due to how deep the staining was. It looks almost new. Thanks

Thank you for your FIVE STAR REVIEW! Please consider calling the Trex Company and telling them. In the future, please consider proactively using Corte Clean, "at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear" as the product was designed and intended and label directions state. This generally will SAVE you TIME & MONEY. When proactively using Corte Clean, preferably before composites receive moisture and stains occur or saturate, Corte Clean should be used at the “up to 2.5 scoops for routine cleaning” per “1 gallon of water” strength saving money. One can apply Corte Clean proactively in any condition, day or night as long as the composites are thoroughly dry. This is why the Corte Clean label directions state “When Corte Clean no longer turns dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. Corte Clean is designed to clean any time it receives moisture. A white residue may remain until thoroughly rinsed. Thoroughly rinse composites prior to using.” The best way is to “thoroughly rinse” is to apply before it rains or snows and the natural moisture rinses it saving you time. Please call us if you wish to thoroughly discuss. (415) 924-9500 X 1

My north facing composite deck in Wisconsin accumulates the usual dirt but much of it also begins to develop a green stain. This product is very effective, relatively easy to use and really does the job. I highly recommend it.

I have a Trex deck about 6 years old. After about one year I notices alot of black spots on the deck. Did some research and determined it was black mold. Googled the problem to get a solution and called Trex as well . I didn't want to use all the bleach products out their which I felt were unsafe after reading their warnings on the packages in the home stores. Then i went through the list of products that Trex recommended. One of them was Corte-Clean. I ordered 3 containers as they were not sold in bags at that time. I really had to work at it as the mold was really bad. After 2 applications it was much better but not as good as new. I called Corte-*Clean and spoke to Greg, who I believe is the owner. He made some suggestions and the next weekend I gave it one more shot. Big improvement and I was very happy. The next year the mold was back but not as bad as year one. I did 2 coats this time and I was very satisfied. Don't believe anyone who tells you Trex is "NO " maintenance. Fast forward to 2 years ago. I wasn't feeling 100% and did just one application in May. Deck came out really good and I was set for the season. Last year we had a million things going on and only did one application to half the deck. I just went outside today to look at the condition of the deck. I cannot believe their is no mold whatsoever on either half of the deck. The deck is a little dirty but not really that bad considering. I just called Corte Clean and ordered more product for this year. Greg answer ted the phone and we spoke for a while. He said it must be the product has finally gotten into the TREX and gets reactivated when moisture hits it. He gave me a few tips from things they have learned in the last few years, and I look forward to an easy cleaning this year. My advice is BUY this product and follow the instructions to the letter. Call the company if you have any questions or problems and only use the product if the expiration date has not been exceeded. Good Luck Don Heide -New York

Excellent product! I have been using it for the past three years. The product is easy to use and gets the job done. The customer service is excellent and the delivery of the product is outstanding. I would highly recommend Corte Clean. It is a product I will continue to use in order to keep my deck looking like new. One important feature is the product keeps on working in the rain and snow. Great feature!

I have been using Corte*Clean Composite Cleaner - 2000A for about 8 years on my Trex deck. Corte*Clean works better than any other cleaner I have used. If you follow the directions exactly and don't take any shortcuts, you will be amazed with the results. It is important that your deck be completely dry and in direct sun before you begin. Also, clean a small section of the deck at a time and keep it wet with the Corte*Clean solution until it has time to work. Then rinse thoroughly. For me, Corte*Clean is the best choice. Worked very well. I was not sure if it would damage bricks (underneath my deck) so I covered them with cloth.
