I had exactly the same issue like this guy: Don’t buy from them.. I received my scooter 2 days late unregistered, took me 6 weeks to register baring in mind I had to insure it on the chassis which cost a fortune and I lost the first 1 and half month insurance waiting bike to be registered then after getting it road legal and on the road it was spluttering and loosing power and cutting out, when I got in contact regarding the warranty I was basically brushed off saying only the parts are covered under warranty not the repair baring in mind every garage i phoned wouldn't entertain me when I tried explaining what the bike was to them bar 1 garage and I was told to look for another one as it was too far. Highly wouldn't recommend this company to anyone you are shooting yourself in the foot and you are paying for a few months of pure stress

Be very wary of buying a bike from direct bikes also known as scooter.co.uk, took me over 2 months to register the bike no help from them whatsoever, the nut behind the kick start casing came off after just 40 miles and damaged the the components inside they refused to fix this on the bike, it's only 3 month's old and only done 40 miles as according to them you have to get a brand new bike serviced every 3 month's and this only cover's parts and not labour, small claims court it is then they sold me a very dangerous longjia 50cc bike with no help at all they take your money and then you don't exist, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I payed for next day delivery and the bike came 2 months later then I had to wait for the papers to register it I’ve sent them to the dvla and I’m still waiting it’s been over 3 months since I purchased the bike and I still can’t ride it stay away they rarely answer emails and there phone just rings out. There is also no instructions on how to fit a stand on the bike or for the carry box for the back of the bike stay away people

Dashboard broke within 2 months, which in itself could have just been a routine issue. Have been emailing them and calling them for months with no response. Completely unethical company putting drivers of their product in danger by not replacing broken items under warranty

My exhaust has snapped because a bolt is missing and I'm simply trying to order the exhaust system for python scooter db125t-108 11. They told me yo take it off and give them the dimensions of it, I told them I'm not a mechanic and I dont know how to do it. They said they have sent me a diagram but I cant get on to it as it wont let me sign into a account. How hard is it for them to order it me and the bolt for it. As I have gave them the model number for it everything Its disgusting. Now I've read the reviews I'm gutted I did not first as I would never of got off this company

Had high hopes but worried now that all the bad reviews might be right. Scooter arrived on time but no paperwork, so can't register it. Have sent several emails and tried calling all numbers but it just rings out...... getting bit annoyed as £1200+ is a massive purchase for me and it feels like I should've spent it elsewhere. Will update this review if they ever get in touch....

Would give 0 stars if it let me. I have brought a bike from them which turned out to be faulty. It kept cutting out I emailed them the seemed to be willing to help told me to do checks i did some but I said I don’t know what’s I’m doing can you get someone to check it. They told me to put in for repairs they will pay me back i said okay. I need to wait a few weeks to get some money together to pay for it first. So then sometime went by I emailed them to say I’m going ahead with the repairs and then they told me to do more checks again I said okay il check They asked me to check the fuse it Seemed okay still not knowing what I’m doing. They said take it to repair they will pay me back so we did that turned out to be the fuses it got fixed it worked okay They asked me for the invoice so they could pay me back why else would they ask for an invoice once I sent it they then ignored my emails for a week then told me I should know how to check a fuse with out being a mechanic which is just a ridiculous statement that I should automatically know how to check a fuse. So because it was a faulty fuse they asked me to check Which I did to the best of my ability they are refusing to pay the costs. The fuses needed to be replaced either way which it was a manufacturer fault that comes under warranty Also the bike checked for more faults. They continued to call me a liar because they think I didn’t check the fuse offered to pay half It for good will and that they r not liable for selling me a faulty bike Do not waste you time and money on them they r shocking. We r out of pocket and couldn’t use the bike for 2 months because of how long it took to try get someone to Help!

Poor customer service from the start....They take a long time to reply to emails.....Took out the extra warranty for £100 and they say they have recommended garages to take your bike to.....None of these are aware of any communication with Direct bikes....In fact some refuse to even repair them..........When you have had the bike for 3 years it needs an MOT......You may as well dump it in a ditch because you will have nothing but electrical faults....Faulty switches and difficulty starting it...

it is the worst sales company. They did not even tell me that I need to register the bike for which I had to pay almost 100 pound to DVLA and alot of hassals to get the scooty ready. it is the worst. if I was aware of registration I wouldn`t have bought it in the first place

Ordered my bike July/August time and they said bike would be with me 15 September then I never got it till October by then I asked for money back and they totally overruled what I asked for then I had a long wait for paperwork to come sent it off and dvla wouldn’t except it as they didn’t sign the form to say it was a new scooter I got my registered back January and just started to go on bike and problems with battery but they said under warranty it should of had service but the bike not been used till now due to their mess up company and how slow they are He said I broke the deal on warranty but I asked for money back before my bike even came when they broke the time when it would be with me

Do not trust do not buy save your money and go elsewhere! Awful company awful customer service! If you do buy make sure the bike has a nova and work before you accept and registration is tried... You won’t get refund at all

I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. Unfortunately due to the constant harrassing emails from Direct Bikes telling me that my review is wrong, incorrect, refusing to help replace parts that are faulty and now threatening legal action against me I have had to amend my review again. I now feel I am unable to express my true and honest opinions in regards to this purchase. I feel the bike was not delivered in working condition due to damaged (battery) and missing parts. They have refused to replace parts (battery) unless I take down my review in it's entirety. I can not divulge any more of my experience with this company as I feel it will be twisted as defamation.

Avoid - Terrible Customer Services over the phone and email. This company is completely absolutely rubbish and i recommend that no one uses them. Their telephone staff do not understand or know of there own terms and conditions and advised that the bike could NOT be tested. Subsequently we cancelled the order because of this, they are now refusing a delivery charge refund of £85.00. Something else you should all consider is if you ever need to start legal proceedings against them that they sell bikes to you under the name of Direct Bikes Retail LTD but the owners of the bikes are in fact Direct Bikes LTD a different company completely. PLEASE NOTE EVERYONE THAT THE SELLERS WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE - These parts include and are not limited to; Brakes, Cables, Kick Starts, Fairings, Stands, Exhaust, Mirrors, Drive Belts, Bulbs, Wheels, Top Boxes and Tyres;

Avoid this company !!! I've had this moped since August 2018 and the dvla don't recognise there documents they aren't legit to register them with dvla ,,, I have a bike I can't do nothing with and I'm currently taking this matter further and they keep avoiding my messages I just want my money back now

I would give 0 stars if i could. Avoid! Had a bike delivered damaged and had to send it back, it never even came off the van as the damage could be seen! The company took ages to reply to emails and eventually went quiet after saying they will refund. NO telephone number for their customer services tells you everything. In the end weeks and weeks later we had to fight through our credit card and direct bikes then tried to say they never had the bike back. We eventually got our £900+ back
