“A terrible company to buy running trainers from.
I ordered my £130 running shoes from Direct running, after receiving them I tried them on and realised that they had sent me the men’s version.
I sent them back for an exchange and they then returned them back to me without any explanation. I then contacted their customers services who informed me that they were “worn”. I then had to forward photos of the trainers again to prove that I had not worn them.
Eventually they agreed that I could return them, I sent them via recorded delivery and waited for a confirmation.
Two weeks later I still hadn’t received any confirmation, I chased this up and the customer service team demanded a tracking number otherwise they couldn’t help me. I didn’t have my tracking number to hand so they refused to confirm if they had received them.
The manager treated me like I was lying to them about sending them back.
I chased this again a week later and they told me again that they haven’t received them yet. After a lot of stress I left it for another 4 weeks without hearing from them. When I contacted them again, they finally admitted that they had received them and the money would be refunded.
They were incredibly rude and unhelpful, I was so stressed as it was a lot of money to spend and received no help from the customer service team.
I will NEVER order from this company again due to the awful treatment from the customer service manager.”
“Terrible customer service. Bought shoes before Christmas. They were the wrong size which is fine. I sent them via Royal Mail with the return label direct shoes provided. They are now saying they can’t find the shoes and that it is my fault and are refusing to do anything. I’m now out £100 and have no shoes and they are blaming the customer and doing nothing about it.”
“My 1st order during lockdown was only slightly delayed but I have been waiting 3 weeks for my 2nd. I have phoned and emailed numerous times but no reply. It would help to know what is happening.”
