I hired DPOM (DP Online Marketing Ltd) in January 2026 to manage Google Ads for my physiotherapy clinic. I signed up for their Google Ads Pro Standard package on a 6-month commitment plan with a 15% discount, paying £378.25 plus VAT per month. I want to share my honest experience so that other small business owners — particularly those in healthcare — can make an informed decision. What I expected vs what I received I expected a fully managed Google Ads service where the agency would handle campaign setup, conversion tracking, keyword management, and ongoing optimisation. What I actually experienced was quite different. The campaign launched without conversion tracking in place. After more than two months of the campaign running, I realised that no conversion tracking had been configured. I ended up building the entire tracking infrastructure myself — Google Tag Manager, GA4, event tags, Data Layer variables — all from scratch. When I raised this, DPOM pointed to a clause in their contract (Clause 5.2) which states that conversion tracking is the customer's responsibility. This was surprising to me — I was paying for what I understood to be a professionally managed Google Ads service, yet the contract places the responsibility for measuring whether the campaign actually generates any bookings or enquiries on the customer, not the agency. This is something I wish I had understood before signing. If you are considering DPOM, I would strongly recommend reading Clause 5.2 carefully and asking exactly what "managed service" includes, because conversion tracking — arguably the most important element of any Google Ads campaign — may not be part of it. Performance and results I want to be fair — DPOM did carry out some work on the account. Keywords were refined, irrelevant search terms were removed, and ad copy was updated. I do not dispute that activity took place. However, the actual results during my time with DPOM were disappointing. For the first two months, the campaign showed a 0% conversion rate across all keywords. DPOM attributed this entirely to the missing conversion tracking rather than any issue with the campaign itself. They later noted that the campaign had started generating conversions once tracking was in place, which is a valid point. However, the fact remains that for two months there was no way to measure whether the campaign was delivering any value at all — and it was left to me to resolve this. I also found myself personally making significant improvements to the account, including keyword adjustments, ad group refinements, and implementing optimisation recommendations that brought the account score from under 60% back up to nearly 100%. These are tasks I was paying a professional agency to handle. Communication issues Communication was a significant concern. I sent a detailed email in February raising specific questions about click fraud, campaign performance, and the level of management being applied to our account. This email went unanswered for over three weeks. A follow-up email in March received only an automated out-of-office reply. While I understand that staff illness can cause delays, I would have expected a managed service to have cover arrangements in place for client communications. Cancellation experience When I decided to cancel, I discovered that emailing the cancellation address was not sufficient — a separate online form had to be completed. When I submitted the cancellation form, the portal displayed an estimated last payment date of April 2026. However, I was subsequently told that I was required to continue paying for two additional months (May and June) under the 6-month commitment. This means I am paying for months of service after requesting cancellation. It is important to note that under DPOM's terms and conditions, the commitment period is binding regardless of whether you are satisfied with the service quality, and refunds are not offered under any circumstances. This is clearly stated in their contract, but it is something I wish I had given more weight to before signing. My advice to other small businesses considering DPOM If you are a small business considering DPOM for Google Ads management, especially in the healthcare sector, here is what I would suggest based on my experience: Read the full terms and conditions very carefully before committing, particularly the cancellation clauses, commitment terms, and Clause 5.2 regarding conversion tracking. Ask DPOM to clarify in writing exactly what is included in their managed service and what remains your responsibility. Be prepared to be actively involved in your own campaign — check your conversion tracking, review your keywords, and monitor performance yourself. Do not assume that paying for a managed service means you can be hands-off. And if you choose a commitment plan for the discount, understand that you will be held to the full term regardless of your experience, and that you may end up paying for months after cancellation during which no meaningful work is being carried out. I am sure DPOM works well for some businesses, and I acknowledge the work that was carried out on my account. But for my small healthcare clinic, the level of proactive management, the communication, and the overall return on investment did not justify the cost. I would not use DPOM again, and I would encourage other small business owners to do thorough due diligence before signing a commitment contract with any Google Ads management agency.

My account was suddenly restricted, disabling withdrawals and limiting access without any prior warning. Attempts to resolve the issue internally resulted in vague responses and no progress. At that point, I turned to U.R.F, led by Unique Services. Their team conducted a methodical review, identified the compliance error causing the freeze, and implemented a resolution efficiently. Access was restored, and preventative measures were added to protect the account going forward.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AND DON’T TRUST THE 5* REVIEWS !!! I’ve had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a marketing company. I hired DPOM LTD to manage my Google Ads campaign, and it turned out to be a complete waste of money. After paying £495 + VAT for their management service, I received only one extremely poor-quality lead during the entire month. After questioning the poor results and the lack of regular updates, I was reminded that their contract requires a 30-day notice period to cancel. This essentially meant that even though the first month delivered almost nothing for me, I was still expected to pay for another month of service. From what I experienced, DPOM LTD appeared to be more focused on enforcing their contract terms than on delivering any genuine value. For the amount I spent, I felt I got very little back — barely any communication, no worthwhile outcomes, and no real sense of responsibility for the campaign.

I signed up to get this company to do my PPC, SEO, Facebook management and Facebook ads. They delivered next to zero leads/enquiries every month. I was told it would take 3 months to work until it got to month 4 and then it would take 6 months until things started working. If i asked a question then it would take on average 3 emails before i got a reply. I also got lied to repeatedly when i called out a mistake eventually to be told “we’re all human” In my opinion the content was very poor and Ai driven which was probably a main reason why they got little success. Also please be aware they will charge you a full month after you cancel on top of the month you have already paid in advance.

AVOID! Have a look at the other 1 star reviews as well as on Google. I went from getting lots of orders to virtually none. I am not sure they know what they are doing. They only made changes to the account when I complained. Customer service is truely appalling, they hide behind an external call answering service. Dont return calls, don't answer emails. I am shocked people run companies like this. PLEASE think carefully before signing up. Their contracts are written totally in their favour.

In the 4 weeks that DPOM had control of my Google Ads account, my lead submissions dropped from 108 per month (average) to 21. The average cost of a lead submission went from £9.44 to over £50. DPOM defended this by stating that it takes 3 months to see improvements. Whilst I fully accept that it takes time to see improvements, I certainly did not expect their involvement to massively reduce my lead submissions and increase my cost per lead by 540%!

DPOM.co.uk is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They err incompetent, inept and a total waste of time. If you want to lose money then this is the outfit that can do that for you. If you want a ROI then forget about it. They don’t listen to anything you tell them, they don’t want to talk or engage with you. They just send stupid report to you. I didn’t pay for reports, I paid for customers and conversions. They have feefo feedback on their site, it’s all 5 stars. I’m not surprised as they won’t let me rate them on there. I think all the feefo reviews are all fake. PLEASE PLEASE save yourself from misery and heartache. Don’t get involved with these crooks. Do the Google Ads yourself.
