“I was very impressed by Eagre t/as Yorkshire Doors, but less impressed by the product itself. The company were great with the quote service, the price was competitive, the installation process perfectly smooth, the after-sales was really responsive and keen to make sure everything was as it should be. Ten out of ten for the whole team, a pleasure doing business with them. The door looks great, but two disappointing aspects which there's nothing the door company can remedy really....First the lock. I've never had such a faff to operate a lock before. The fit of the key is fiddly and even after the company visited to ease the mechanism, it often takes more than one attempt to ensure the handle has been lifted fully before the key can be turned to lock the door. Both my wife and I find it less easy and more 'physical' than any other lock we've ever used. Then there's the doorframe. I was only told after the fitting that there would be more 'frame whip' than with a timber door. In other words, when you pull the door closed, the frame bends with it to some degree - more than I was expecting. At first the movement was alarming and the door felt flimsy because the draught excluding trim was catching so much on the frame that it bent alarmingly to close it. Once Yorkshire Doors had adjusted it, the movement reduced, but it still looks a little 'flimsy' to me because of the amount of movement compared to a solid timber frame. I'd think some stiff bracing fitted into the frame may alleviate the problem, but that's a design issue. I wish I had known about these issues before purchasing as I may have gone for a different kind of door/lock, but the team at the company really can't be faulted as they've done their best to address the feedback and every aspect of their service has been really spot on.”

The door we have fitted is a premium composite door and although they do feel different to a traditional timber door and frame it will provide decades of reliable performance with little maintenance required. “Fantastic service! Yorkshire doors have fitted a custom made internal bi fold door and two external high security doors. We needed both jobs done quickly and they delivered this service. Very friendly, trustworthy people and a fantastic fitting service all done on time and at a reasonable price for high quality products. Highly recommended.”

“We had 3 panel bi folding doors for our new extension as well as a stable style back door. the measurements were taken and perfect for installation. We were so pleased with the quality of it that we decided to have our front door changed as well. Very pleased and have been recommending YorkshireDoors to a few people already that made contact with yourself.”

“This is the second time we have used Yorkshire Doors and once again they have not disappointed. From the first on line enquiry right through to installation and aftercare they have been great. Probably the best thing (apart from the door) is that they are not pushy salesmen, they quote and then allow you to make up your own mind- perfect. Thank you”

“In an industry that is known to have iussues with forced sales, poor installation and even poorer after sales, i am pleased to report that my experience with Yorkshire Doors was completely the opposite. The representative of the company allowed me to choose my product with only welcome prompts as to the most suitable product. The communication forn the installation dates etc. was clear and precise and the after sales service has been wonderful.”

“The trust test of customer service is what happens when things go wrong: After my new door was fitted, I realised that the frame was the wrong colour. Yorkshire Doors immediately apologised and put it right, without quibbling. They refitted the frame about 10 days later, with great workmanship and a professional, cheerful manner. Can't recommend them enough.”

“I am happy to award this company five stars. I received a prompt and competitive quote and decided to go ahead and order a new solidor door. The fitter was excellent and fitted my door in a timely and very efficient manner. I would highly recommend and would use this company for any future requirements I may have.”

“Very poor service, Front door fitted a few months later the door has dropped and will not close properly, a new conservatory roof fitted rainwater poured in through the flashings in the first day even though we pointed out the flashings were damaged on installation, now we have rain leaking in through the roof onto furniture poor response as the company will not attend until early next week 4/5 days later and the company are asking for a service charge payment up front on a clear warrant issue. Also 123 windows fitted 30% were faulty and changed then further glass found to be faulty then ALL windows changed they are faulty also so we are waiting for all windows to be changed again. Whilst taking the windows out several times the internal plastic beading has been damaged to date the company is refusing to replace the damaged beading.”

We hope people read this reply to Mr Graham Mann, As anyone can see from our genuine independently verified reviews we offer the highest levels of customer service and high quality UK manufactured products. As you know you have not paid us for the sealed units we have installed and changed 3 times at a huge cost. The sealed units have been checked by the manufacturer who is one of the largest and most reputable suppliers of sealed units in the UK, producing 1000' of units a month, they are happy that the units meet the British standards for processed glass. You called us on Friday last week advising both your door and roof had instantly started leaking, coincidently after you received your court summons for non payment of your invoice. We attended at 9-30am on Monday (1 working day) to see what the problem was even though you owe us a huge amount of money. The roof had no reason to leak, we checked it thoroughly. The door had dropped slightly but this could have been caused by a small man swinging on it. We adjusted it for free. We are proud of our service, we are confident in our products and suppliers. You are the only customer in 2 years who we have not been able to satisfy.
