Awful quality of icing on my son's celebration cake. Cost £40 and icing was uneven, cracked and broken! Will never use again.

Ordered a 16th birthday cake from this company, having never used them before and going by the positive reviews. I arranged for the cake to be delivered directly to my daughters school today, so it could be presented to her in front of her class at the end of day. Considering that she started her GCSEs yesterday, I thought it would be an awesome surprise for her. I had liaised with the school, and arrangements had been made with several staff to pull this off. On the day of her birthday, I get a call from the company to say they have messed up the delivery so the wrong cake had been sent. In short, no birthday surprise. That was bad enough. But then I'm asked if I want the cake delivered the next day instead! Unsurprisingly, I said no. I mean, who would want a birthday cake the next day?! To even suggest it was a tad absurd. To top it off, I'm simply told ok- I'll refund you now. That's it, end of conversation. Let me get this straight: you totally ruin a birthday surprise, and the best you can offer is a refund? Which I'm entitled to anyway given the circumstances?! I would have thought there would be either a complimentary cake for another occasion, or at least a discount on a future purchase. I've been working in customer services for around 27 years. If I knew my actions had ruined a special occasion, I would dig as deep into the bag as possible to make it right. At best, it wins over a customer for life. At worst, it would stop me or my company from being panned in a review like this. Don't worry Eat My Photo, I'm a resilient and resourceful father. I'll find another way to mark my daughters milestone birthday.

Avoid this company like the plague - ordered for my sons 8th birthday party in plenty of time and the cake didn’t arrive on the day I paid for, no apology even made by the company. When it arrived the day after my sons party it was left outside in the rain on its side when my neighbour was in to take the delivery, the cake was therefore damaged, yet again no apology from the company and now they say I have to return the cake at my own inconvenience to be able to get a refund! Absolutely appalling customer service!!!

The photos on my biscuits were so blurred you could just make out that it’s was people. It double printed so every line had another printed in error next to it.

I ordered the shortbread biscuits and my photos that I uploaded of were high quality but when the biscuits arrived, the photos were of really low quality, they looked awful. Extremely disappointed as was a birthday gift. Will not be ordering again.

I ordered eat my photo for a colleagues birthday present. When the biscuits arrived the images that I had selected to go on the biscuits were extremely poor quality. All of the colour had leaked making it very difficult to see what the picture was. Not only where they images poor on the biscuits there was no care when placing the image on the biscuit. Out of the 6 biscuits received only one of the icing images was central. The biscuits were so poor I didn't fell I could give them as part of a birthday present. Im extremely disappointed with the product received and won't be using eat my photo again.

The photos were totally blurred and in the case of one biscuit, almost impossible to make out the image.

Hi Leanne, We're sorry to hear that our cake didn't meet your expectations. Our cakes are all made using fresh ingredients to cake shop recipes and we are frequently complimented on the taste of our cakes in comparison to our competitors. We're sorry that on this occassion, you didn't feel your cake met this quality. In terms of the print quality, as we are printing using edible ink onto fondant icing some of the more intricate details may sometimes be lost as it is not an exact science as mentioned in our print guidelines and terms & conditions. We're always happy to hear feedback both good and bad as this is how we improve. If you'd like to give us more details on the order and how you feel we could improve, please email our team at enquiries@eatmyphoto.co.uk Kind Regards. The Eat My Photo Team

Delivery was on time. Cake was well packaged. The cake itself wasn't the best. The picture I sent over had a distinct blue tinge. This same photo was sent to other companies to be put on other items and the image was perfect with the colours as they should be. The sponge cake was dry. It was eaten the day after delivery so shoudnt have been dry. Such a shame especially as the cake cost a lot..... £65!

Hi Sarah, We've tried to contact you directly however we have not received a reply from you. We do our best to colour match however it is not always possible to get a perfect match with edible ink onto fondant icing in the same way that if you printed the same image from several different makes of normal printers, the colour reproduction would always vary. Our cakes are freshly baked from scratch using raw ingredients to cake shop recipes. We receive frequent compliments on our cakes in comprison to our competitiors who often use cake mixes. If you'd still like to get in touch to discuss your order further please email our team at enquiries@eatmyphoto.co.uk Kind Regards. The Eat My Photo Team
