"This has to be the worst fuel company in the world! I was paying between \u00a3400-\u00a3700 per month on a three bedroom house! I kept complaining and every time I complained they put the bill up. I know they owe me money as I switched last year to another green energy company and my monthly bill is \u00a3125 per month and I am always in credit with them. How then was I paying Ecotricity the extortionate amount every month and was always in debt? I\u2019ve been with Octopus Energy for a year. I wanted to wait a year to see how the new company managed my account and it\u2019s been such a joy, except for my first month when they billed me \u00a32,000 at the advice of this charlatan company. They quickly rectified this and I haven\u2019t had one dispute with them since. Plus they have been giving all their customers free electricity! Looking at all the other reviews why isn\u2019t OFCOM stepping in as it\u2019s obvious they are corrupt. I will give you an example of their billing practices on the 24th June 2020 my bill was \u00a366.33 and then by 20th November it was \u00a36,504.17! Yep you read it right. Sign up for this company at your peril"

"Utter incompetence I have not been in a flat I rented for nearly 3 months I then received a \u00a3500 bill. Not even the fridge was turned on in the flat. Total confusion over the meter reading I even sent a picture of the meter showing \u00a314.45 the bill I received is over \u00a3450 more. I was assured by 2 seperate staff members there appears to be a meter issue as even now nobody is living there at midnight the meter is sending a 6000kwh . I have also had 2 collection agents phone from ecotricity that do not read notes and are unaware of what is going and have to be told to check notes on system. Avoid this company at all costs "
