They've also created unnecessary and costly issues with the VAT. When I reached out to them about this, their final saying was that it was part of their policy and not a mistake. But this policy wasn't declared in their site, nor was something that the first service representatives I talked refered to to. It seems like they made a mistkae and simply didn't want to take responsibility to it. I find them unreliable and flakey and I won't be being from them again.”

They refused to take any responsibility, and claimed it was all part of their policy - but it was never stated in the site, nor did it seem like their own people were aware to this policy at first. So, a flakey and unreliable company, that doesn't care in the least about its customers.”

“I ordered the item from the Escentual, it was never delivered. I had contacted them relate to the order, they mentioned that they will not take responsibility as it was passed 14 days. I am completely surprised relate to their customer service. I have provided CCTV evidence related to postmen never delivered. The customer service agent mentioned that it is company policy and you clicked them before continuing the order. I spoke with Royal mail relate the matters. They mentioned that they were required to claim from their business account. I have spent around 5 hours chasing them. I would not recommend anyone to buy from them. I am completely heartbroken after their poor customer service. I am still waiting for a refund from them. It is shame to receive such poor customer service in the united kingdom from a reputed company.”

“This is how you get the delivery of 800 pounds worth of cosmetics. Out of 20 pcs I just got 8 and load of bubble packing. The customer service refused to help me and denied that even this was the box which they send to me. The box was retaped 3 times with three different coloured tapes. The label clearly put on the last taping that was done. It cant be me because I don't have access to it. I contacted within the next 15 minutes when I got delivery. The customer care supervisor Nikki contradicts her ownself what she wrote in her first email in the second one. It's one of the worst experiences you will have with anyone. DONT GET STRESSED STAY AWAY SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I am just trying to help people like me who are vulnerable and have to depend on online sellers like them. Don't just stay away make sure you tell your family and friends too.”

“I came across Escentual because my usual skincare was out of stock everywhere else, I couldn't believe it was so cheap, normally it isn't and it was on offer everywhere else anyway, but this was cheaper than that! I was a bit weary as I always am with companies I've never heard of. I wasn't disappointed, I paid for next day delivery and that's what I got, impressive considering we're in lockdown! It was packaged well although, I didn't like the amount of bubble wrap around the products, however, I understand this is to protect them during transit. There must be an alternative they could use? “Escentual customer service is very rude and unprofessional and in their e mail I have felt like they where implying that I am stupid when I did not agree with they way of resolving issues. When I have asked for refund they didn't bother to inform me in any way that the cream has been refunded.
Customers of escentual if you receive damaged product they will ask you to send it back (if it get lost in mail you loose your money because the are not responsible for lost goods) and when they receive it eventually they will send you another product so generally it is quite long process and hassle before you receive it. Very bad company, I regret that I ever found this Web site.”
