Do NOT buy from this company, my lifetime guarantee means nothing as they put the company into receivership then 2/3 months later buy it back so everyone before it went into receivership have now lost their lifetime guarantee. PS the fitters that did my two windows and door were cowboys other fitters had to come and take the window out and refit it, and the door still not working properly but now can’t do anything but pay someone else to fix it. You have been warned.

.......WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING............ If you were to overhear me telling someone how my 12 to 14 WEEK build for my "Conservatory" was going, you would step in and call BS, it is that unbelievable but PLEASE, read the following and follow the story as I write it. I am doing it to warn people off and save them the hassle that I am having to endure. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-2 www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-three www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-four www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-five www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-six Everything is factual and is backed up by physical paperwork. NOTHING is fabricated. Not everything can be disclosed as I will need to disclose it in court. £670 already paid in legal fees. £4305 and rising legal fees to pay. £620 Surveyors fees so far. £38,000+ for the "conservatory" which is still not finished and actually has to be pulled down and started again. My surveyors report is damning of the build. I have sent pictures to EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS showing many defects including the inside wall being wet over TWO FEET up starting at the floor which is also wet. EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS OWN SURVEYOR has written a damning report. One conservatory company who have been in business over thirty years REFUSE to touch it as "there is so much wrong with it, it will never be right". Another with a similar trading time has said that it needs to be pulled down and started again INCLUDING THE FOOTINGS! All of these reports are in the possession of the head of legal NICK FLANAGAN who refuses to accept this information and act on it. He also now IGNORES LETTERS from my solicitor. Copy and paste the first link and follow the disgusting way that EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS operate and treat their customers. To help you to try to understand why I am writing about it and trying to draw your attention to it, is because the planning and designing was done in February/March 2017 and they started the physical work June 7th 2017. It is now 23 September 2019. I hope that people will read about my ongoing nightmare and the reviews of other victims and use an alternative company. Kind regards. G

If you are looking to have your windows/home improvements done, please DO NOT go with this company. All they're concerned about is getting their money!! Their workmanship is rubbish and staff are very rude.

First thing you should know about Everest is that they are owned by a private equity firm: Better Capital, after going into administration in 2020, voiding all previous customer's warranties then opening up again under a different company name 'Everest 2020 Limited'. Private equity firms are essentially the leaches of the business world, they suck out every drop of profit for their shareholders, cut corners everywhere they can to maximise them profits and keep any investment at minimum or zero, until the company again goes bust. My mother had been an Everest customer for over 40 years, paying a shocking amount of money to have her home done in high quality aluminium double glazing, back in the 80’s when Everest actually earned the title 'fit the best' now it should be 'fit if you’re lucky'. We, now looking back at it, stupidly opted to go with Everest for a back door replacement, thinking it would be the same exceptional service, unfortunately as stated at the start of this post, the impact of being owned by a private equity firm is taking its toll, customer service is none existent, if you managed to get through to someone, they are hard faced, rude and brash. It's only when they want their money do, they suddenly become proactive (8 times they rang my 70yo mother in one day, from 4 different numbers with 2 voicemails and 3 text messages, chasing the final amount of just over £200 only a couple of hours after fitting) then there is the fitting.......Of course all the sales patter is very fast, quick and efficient. But once they get the bulk of your money, it's like Russian roulette, after waiting weeks for a door to be built, our installation date of the 21st Dec was brought forward to the 8th Dec, fab! we thought, the 8th arrived, ‘’oh no, won't be fitted today’’, installer hurt himself, disgruntled we rebooked for the 16th Dec, the 16th arrived, ‘’oh no, it won't be fitted today’’, installer is ill, by this time we are understandably fuming, one of the people in the ‘’Customer Relations’’ department, who we can’t name on here, treated my mother as complete dirt, obnoxious and very unhelpful, she simply made the matter worse, how she is allowed to deal with customers is anyone’s guess. Hope someone will at lease heed my warning and avoid the now lengthy problems and stress we have had to endure, Everest is not the company it used to be, and indeed it never will be, it's on a level with the likes of Safestyle UK, go small or independent for your windows and doors, Everest is proof that a long guarantee means nothing, so you might as well support a more deserving business, than feeding the private equity vultures.

This has been an appalling experience. An installer turned up in a van that was straight out of Only Fools and Horses, a set of golf clubs fell out and our expensive windows were buried amongst the junk inside. A pane was broken, and despite a 5 hour visit from a surveyor, the trims were the wrong size. We had asked for some floor covering and shoe covering to be used as we had laid new carpets in one rooom. The installer had neither of these things. He left the job unable to complete it and we had another long wait of several weeks before someone else turned up and said that his predecessor could have fixed the windows on site. He said that he had done a bad job, and he was now spendinghis time visiting various sites toput matters right. Work carrying on in the house which had been timed around this had to be delayed. We were offered £150 compensation which was later withdrawn. A rude, unprofessional company whom I would recommend be avoided at all costs.

I had to award 1 star to start this review, but would rather give zero stars. We bought a property which had been "upgraded" with Everest windows and doors 1 year previously. We quickly found the property to suffer from draughts and water ingress around the windows. Due to the exposed situation, these issues had to be addressed so we decided to apply external insulation and larch cladding to the property. Out of 4 tradesmen who came to quote for the work, all 4, unsolicited, pointed out first thing that the external Everest windowsills did not actually overhang the walls, in fact were not even flush with the wall, so basically channelled rainwater into the wall under the window or door. During the works, a catalogue of shoddy workmanship was revealed: The external sills not overhanging the external walls. Chipboard used to pack out the window frame to the opening instead of timber. Damp causes chipboard to swell and deteriorate. Huge gaps only partially filled with expanding foam or silicon sealant. The main door, a double-door assembly, not supported underneath, the door simply hanging on screws through the frame sides with a 4" gap underneath. This set-up meant the weather barrier under the door was actually the internal skirting! I contacted the local Everest office to request an engineer to come and assess the installation. Appointments were cancelled without us being informed, meaning we waited an entire day for someone who was never going arrive. Everest stated they had called and informed me of the cancellation the day before the appointment: If that was the case, why would I have waited all day? I had not received any calls from Everest that day. When I eventually spoke to the local manager, he told me he had decided not to transfer the Everest "lifetime warranty" from the lady who actually purchased the windows and doors 1 year previously, to me. I was not aware Everest could make such a choice. To my mind, Everest performed an incredibly shoddy installation and, when caught out so soon afterwards, tried desperately to avoid their responsibilities. The photos uploaded below will prove just how shoddy the installation actually was. It is little wonder Everest felt the need to be born again with the reputation of being such absolute garbage hanging over them.

Unfortunately can only agree with all these comments. The company has used Covid to undertake a fully planned pre-packed administration and walk away from their obligations. It is a disgrace that they are allowed to get away with it and cause such distress and inconvenience to the contractors and customers they have let down. They present themselves as an established company with a long standing pedigree but in fact have voided all their obligations under the so called "lifetime" guarantee and fail to tell you they were only established in June 2020 with a zero credit worthiness and do not even show as trading on Companies House. From the initial sales visit from Freddie Clark to the divisional manager Richard Coles they ignore all attempts to contact them and have no interest in putting things right. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS These comments on this site are not made up but represent the frustrations of many many genuine customers who have been left out of pocket.

Everything went wrong from the start to finish. The so called double glaze windows was cracked by their workmen. When I complained about it for workmen to revisit and replace the cracked window, from the edge to the middle of the glass. Everest demanded I must pay for the damage they caused. All windows and patio door not sealed adequately. Key handles to window wobbly. Scaffolding left for weeks before they were finally removed after much email and phone calls. Everest increased the balance I was to pay. Now I am being taking to Court demanding what I didn’t owe. All documents sent to their supposed address returned unclaimed. Please look very well before you leap. Do not go near Everest at all otherwise you will regret it BIG TIME. The cheek of it is that they warned anyone dealing with them not to publicise anything about their experiences.

Had roofline fitted which meant scaffolding on house. Three weeks (and still counting) after fitted scaffolding still on house. Calls to Everest produced zero action. Abysmal customer service. Would advise anyone not to use this company.

Salesman Tom turned up twenty minutes late without explanation or apology. That was fine because he seemed lovely on arrival. However when we started to get into the details of the windows, he insistently criticised other window companies to sell his own company. I kept asking him but how are Everest windows and installations better but he was unable to tell me what was so special about Everest fitters or installation other than other companies are worse and their installations are worse. I did not appreciate this lack of facts or the approach that to sell their product they bad mouth other companies. I explained this to him but he was unable to give me any useable information about the windows I was trying to get a quote for. I tried to get something tangible from the conversation but no facts were offered. He told me to go and watch the windows being installed and then I would understand. I simply wanted him to back up his claims about the quality he said was the selling point with some basic information. This was not available. I decided after fifteen minutes that receiving a quote would be pointless as I had no gage of the quality of Everest, just that other companies were unreliable and low quality. So I asked for the quote to be cancelled so I could find someone who knows the product and processes they are talking about. From the stories on here I am glad that I have avoided a company that has gone into administration who offers such poor service. Thanks and best wishes to all window shoppers out there 😃

I was given a quote ...wait for it good people....(a jaw dropping... £40,000), just for new windows covering a one story, 2 bed bungalow. This was without the Replacement of a small existing conservatory(no need for a base)... was another £30 grand on top....I mean SERIOUSLY!. That is a grand total of £70,000, without touching anything else in the property that needs doing. I nearly dropped in a heap, right then and there in front of the sales guy. I had a twisted combination of a smile and painful expression. The sales man then suddenly drops the window cost to £13,000..just like that .The look on my face must of been award winning for all the wrong reasons...His thoughts, the writing on his wall of possibly losing his sale. Obviously this company has no integrity . They must be in the business of seeing how much they can milk out of people....literally..suck people dry. I only hope for those who have paid got their monies worth..But from the comment section it seems sadly not(which is why I wanted to leave my recent experience). My advice ...AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

You are expected to pay a non refundable deposit before survey and given drawings and seen samples of doors /window. You therefore have no idea of what the door/porch/conservatory may look like but just given a quote by the salesman and the surveyor may not be able to meet this quote. Whilst the original Everest Company was reliable and their work did last and was the best, have grave concerns as to reliability of current company. If for medical reasons you have to withdraw before a survey you have six months to initiate a new contract before losing your money. Only use if fit and well and in current employment because once you say yes to the salesman you lose your deposit even though no items could have been ordered before the survey.

Awful. Messed me around for 3 months, damaged my property, lied about what work they could and could not do, cancelled the job and are yet to refund my deposit and pay the damage. Salespeople moaning about ineptitude of their Surveyor and Admin colleagues. No comms between departments. Blaming failings on each other. Surveyor spent 20 minutes at the property, then rushed off, dissappeared for a few weeks and after chasing came back claiming back of the property could not be done due to a variety or murky reasons all denied by the Everest Salespeople. Declined to do an unrelated work at the front of the property multiple times. Confirmed would do it after all multiple times. Declined again. Tried arranging another surveyor. Too difficult since arranging parking for them is a pain. And someone is moving branches. And someone had a back surgery (not even joking). Topped by yet another call from a new salesperson claiming they could do the job AFTER the job had been declined by the central team. Sharlatans.

KEEP WELL AWAY, THEY WILL MAKE YOU VERY UNWELL. My mum was pressured into paying a deposit and has been waiting for a roof repair since February, has dangerous unsafe scaffolding up, which a storm will blow the planks off, and repeated cancellations, sending teams to other jobs instead. You have taken advantage of an 91 yearold lady, who now is too ill to fight.

Customer ref: 42/EF1891AV Be warned! My family and I have been through over a year of hell after having to seek legal advice against this company after they breached several building regulations on a brick extension. The £1k I spent on an expert witness report was well spent money and if you ever find yourself in the same situation then evidentially you will need something like this. The workmen cut corners everywhere. They put plasterboard underneath a screed floor bridging a gap (this had already started to collapse which we only discovered due to the screed floor being incorrectly laid and coming away in pieces. Our floor would have essentially collapsed!) and put plastic packers and chunks of wood where the ceiling lintel had not been sat correctly on brick work! They tried to cover this up on the outside with plastic trim! These are massive safety issues and we ended up having to employ an independent builder to correct the works after the replacement ‘expert’ Everest sent breached building regulations again. This does not even scratch the surface on all of the faults. On top of all of this, we went through over 7 bifold doors with Everest and they finally admitted a fault at the manufacturers but would not openly admit they had got their measurements wrong. Even after they admitted fault we still had to get their permission to come out of the contract and employ another agency to replace these doors! Everest do not care about you and they certainly do not fit the best as per their slogan! If there is a legal issue then the head of this team Nick Flanagan tries to bully you in backing down and accepting his first offer. Even our solicitor found him ‘hard work’ and agreed regarding his bullying nature around his ‘scare tactics’ in his emails. For example, he makes threats to take you to court then backs down a week later with an offer! Everest have never apologised to us despite the CEO telling us that as a company they had failed us. Well once it went to the legal team then anything the CEO promised us just went straight out the window! I spent over a year of stress managing this legal situation which was partly whilst on maternity leave. During all of this we were unable to use any of our downstairs living space for over a whole year because of the delays Everest caused and the rectification works. That is two adults and one baby living in just two bedrooms! Please try and imagine the stress of that situation with no living space. Essentially , they also took away from me my maternity leave which should have been spent concentrating on my baby. I am more than happy to talk to anyone about our experience and I have retained all of the evidence of this throughout our year plus of hell! I would have quite happily seen this company to court but illness in the family meant we had to come to some sort of acceptance. By the way, they refused to honour our guarantee so if anything else goes wrong (we did find fault with the foundation but no surprise there!) then we will have to seek legal advice again! Please, please, please think twice about using this company! Their work is cheap, shoddy, illegal and dangerous! Certainly from our experience anyway. Read through the reviews online and you will actually find similar stories.! I will look to add evidential photos later.

BE WARNED!!!! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR APPARENT 'GREAT REPUTATION' My contract number, in case people think I may be making this up, is EF3464AX. PLEASE READ THIS. I had read the reviews on Trustpilot and decided to go with Everest, even though they were not the cheapest, but because of their supposed high level of customer service. I had bought cheap in the past through Crystal Windows, who had to come back 5 times to fix my door lock. So I didn't want that hassle and thought I'd pay a premium for a high quality of service. The sales guy was very charming, nice and professional. He did the whole sales pitch and even jumped up and down on his window pane sample to show me how strong and secure it was. I explained about the bit of bad luck with Crystal Windows and how I wanted to go with someone who could assure quality. But from the moment you hand over that deposit, they become OBSESSED with getting the rest of their money I've had literally the ***WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER*** I will say to all of those that were lucky to get a good install first time around, that you were lucky. If your install goes badly, like mine did, it gets very NASTY. They just want your money ASAP with ZERO Customer Service Skills. I've sent them a list of TEN SNAGGING ITEMS including, would you believe, a crack that goes the whole entire length of the pane of glass where it was broken upon installation. I have a small child in the house who we now have to keep away from the pane of glass as it is cracked and moving. I haven't even received a genuine apology for the damage caused to my property??? They have failed to even give me a return date to put things right, but apparently the install manager Byron Whipple has sent me a legal letter by post today (rather strange how he didn't just attach it to his nasty email) as I've refused to pay the balance until they come and put right all of the things that they have either damaged on install, or are faulty. Just two days after the install and you're sending me legal letters?? are you serious? I just want the job put right. Would you drive a car out the showroom with a smashed windscreen and dents all over it?? No, so why should I pay the balance on a product which is faulty and you can't even give me a date to come and put it right? SO PLEASE HEED THIS AS A WARNING TO ALL THOSE CONSIDERING USING EVEREST. Regards David
