The pastry on the top is no longer flaky and soft and the filling now seems to have onion flavouring which is smelly and tastes awful

I bought a steak pie and a chicken pie neither had any noticeable meat in them. Don’t waste your money they are just not worth buying.

What has gone so badly wrong with pukka pies ? They used to be full of meat and flavour, but now they are mostly gravy, fatty gristle, and poor quality pastry. I hope they get their act together soon otherwise they will lose their loyal customers.

Oh dear PUKKA ! What have you done ?......I only ate PUKKA pies because of their gloriously fluffy digestible pastry and not like the hard types that give you heartburn. So why have you gone back to the old fashioned, rock solid stuff you enveloped your meat with...awful stuff !...I shan't be buying this rubbish again and have even thrown out the second pie I had bought to be consigned to the garbage...Thats it for me !.......If it ain't broke don't fix it !......A crying shame...this once loyal customer ain't coming back !

This was, allegedly, a chicken and mushroom pie. However, its filling consisted almost entirely of a translucent sauce. There was no sign of any mushrooms and the three or four tiny pieces of chicken would have fitted on a teaspoon with room to spare. This really is a disgraceful effort and I certainly won’t be wasting my money on a Pukka Pie again. There was nothing pukka about it.

I have just finished a Chicken and Mushroom Pukka Pie-Having tried a Minced Beef Pie last week I thought-OK last time the Guy putting in the Filling had missed that one! But-NO-He must have been sacked because the Pie was lackinh Chicken!! Plenty of Pastry-but again no Filling-What a Load of Rubbish-Will not be buying again.

Just ate half of a Pukka steak and kidney pie and Oh My Word, how they have changed! The used to be filled to the brim and have lumps of steak in them- the kidney was always diced which was not ideal but not a deal breaker- but now they are half filled with some type of pureed mush with nary a lump of meat in sight. Needless to say, the other half went in the bin and I won't be buying another.

Any company that knowingly continue to manufacture pies that receive such appalling ongoing reviews deserve to be prosecuted for misrepresentation. It's true - the gravy does smell of beef or chicken but substantial content of either ingredient is missing which is what happens when a manufacturers key objective is to make profits rather than provide good value. When questioned they would no doubt plead that their specification does conform to some standard or other (but only just). Perhaps they should provide a straw for the suckers that buy their pies as 99% of the content would pass thru a straw

It was actually the 'beef' pasty. Definitely the worst pasty that I've ever bought. The label specifies 16% beef but in reality, it was undetectable! Never again...

Bought these pies last week from a well known supermarket, whilst on offer . I bought 2 steak 2 steak and kidney and 2 chicken and mushroom. Baked them according to instructions on packaging. And 25 minutes 190cfan . Well we started to eat them, and everyone began to compliment how crispy and tasty the pastry is. And the the gravy of the steak pie was so tasty. And so the chicken pie too. But as we kept on eating, I couldn’t find anything that resembles a morsel of steak. Just shredded sprinkling of beef. I was shocked! I asked everyone else and one or said they had a couple of tiny lumps of chicken, but no more than that. Pukka is selling steak flavoured gravy in a pastry and the same for the chicken and mushroom. I feel I was cheated. And will never buy a pukka pie again. And further more pukka should be ashamed of themselves.

This is not a review about the pies, which are no better or worse than most processed pies. My argument is with the labelling. Why print in minuscule size type in white on a lime green background? This is hard enough to read with 20/20 vision but for anyone elderly or with impaired vision it is impossible for them to be able to read the ingredients or cooking instructions. Why such thoughtless packaging? This must lose Pukka a huge number of sales when the buyer doesn’t make the purchase because they can’t read the packing.

Bought a chicken and mushroom pie. Cut it in half and peeled the lid back. In one half was 1 small piece of chicken and a thin sliver of mushroom, and in the other were 2 small pieces of chicken. Most of the pie was a glutinous mush. Packaging says "With chicken and mushroom in every bite" Talk about misrepresentation!! Shan't ever buy Pukka products again.

Bought a vegan chicken & mushroom pie from Tesco in Sidwell Street in Exeter. The pastry is barely acceptable, the filling is no more than a creamy mush tasting vaguely of mushroom. There is no discernible chicken alternative either in flavour or in substance. It’s a very poor value product which costs a lot in electricity to bake and certainly to be avoided
