“I ordered one of the rare breed slate grey turkeys this year and it was the nicest turkey I have ever tasted. Full-flavoured and succulent, it was a hit with the whole family. Will order again this year. The half horseshoe gammon was also very good.”

“Order a HAndtied Rump Joint for Christmas Dinner and it was absolutely delicious. It was tender and very tasty, well worth the cost. Would recommend to friends and will be returning to Farmison & Co for future orders. Thanks”

“I have in fact already sent you an email via your online form, and was disappointed not to have yet received a reply. My email told you that we were very disappointed in our New Year's Eve Beef Wellington. The steak was not nearly as tender as it should have been. I have rarely bought fillet steak (and did take advantage of the special offer) and expected it to be as 'melt in the mouth' tender as when I have, very rarely, eaten fillet steak in a restaurant. This was especially important as my husband now has problems with anything chewy. I cooked it exactly as directed, but it was not succulent, and as I said, relatively tough. We have yet to try the 2 rolled pork shoulders bought before Christmas and in the freezer. I hope we will be more satisfied with these. I look forward to hearing from you.”

“I purchased a wing rib of beef for our Christmas meal. The beef had much more fat than was a ) necessary and b ) ( more importantly ) than the product shown on the website ( I attach a photo taken from the website and a photo of the meat I received) Some crude maths .. on the website the fat thickness is just over 20% of the thickness of the product at the widest part of the rib. On the product I received at the same point the fat represents about a third of the thickness ie over 50% more fat than advertised. I wrote to Farminson to complain about this. They did not want to enter into any dialogue about the amount of fat on the meat sent relative to the product displayed. They involved the butchery department who informed me that a ) beef comes with fat b ) the fat is known as a fat cap and c ) the meat would cook beautifully . I knew all of this already but they did not want to discuss the actual quantity of red meat that I received. As a " gesture of goodwill " I received a voucher for 25% of the cost of the meat. I appreciate this but I was not after a gesture .. I was seeking recognition that the meat sent was substantially different from the product advertised. If you pride yourself as an online butcher you should send meat that is similar to the meat advertised or if substantially worse sell it at a lower price. I will not buy from Farminson again and as a sign of good faith I will not use the voucher that Farminson sent me as a gesture of goodwill.”

“Absolutely wonderful meat! I am no chef, but it doesn't seem to matter how much I mistreat the meat, it always comes out tender and tastes amazing - I can't recommend Farmisons highly enough. I had no idea what beef to buy at Christmas so I phoned customer services, and they were very helpful - as well as patient with my endless questions. Farmisons is quite simply the best!”

“I took a chance and placed my first order with Farmison And Co for the most important order of the year, Christmas and New Year. I had turkeys and trimmings, pork, beef, ham, pies and a spectacular fillet of beef. It arrived on time and carefully packed and I’ve downloaded the returns tickets to send the empty packaging back, a wonderful idea! On Christmas Eve the family arrived and for the whole holiday I served an array of delicious meals, with the help of the useful cookery tips that are available on the Farmison’s website. Everything I ordered was perfect and the quality was clear to see and more importantly Taste! Every guest enjoyed every meal and there was no waste as all the plates were cleared. It will definitely not be my last order. Happy New Year to everyone at Farmison and thank you !”

“Duck crown ordered for Christmas day was 300g short of declared weight. Have received a voucher as apology but doesn’t take away from the very measly lunch we had at Christmas. Very disappointed.”

“We decided to give an online butcher a try as the meat out our local supermarket was of poor quality. After checking a few reviews about Farmison and Co we gave them a try.... The quality of the meat is always excellent, they have a very easy to use online shop. I was a little dubious at first about having fresh goods sent in the post but the packaging is more than satisfactory and the delivery service is notably fast. A all round very good service. Will definitely use these guys again and highly recommend them.”
