“Excellent quality meat and poultry. I rarely buy anything else these days. Prompt reliable delivery. I am so pleased that we are able to ensure that the farmers are getting a decent price for their produce and that it isn't all going to massive retail chains. I love the opportunity to try different breeds and hear and see about how and where they are raised. Getting closer to honest, simple, chemical-free, natural life is so important for the animals and us as consumers. Our nation's health has been jeopardised over the last century as our choices were restricted by big business.”

“I absolutely loved the meat and cranberry sauce. I was not a fan of the gravy we bought but everything else was great. So happy to have the meat already prepared to cook, with all the hard bits done. The truffle stuffing on the chicken was amazing.”

“Our Christmas goose arrived exactly as told. Skilfully wrapped in amazing totally recyclable cardboard packaging. The goose was also amazing! Excellent flavour, very meaty and l am enjoying cooking with it’s wonderful fat. Big thanks to whoever raised it. Alex C.”

“Just a note on the DPD delivery at Christmas. We live about a mile away from your Ripon depot, but we don’t drive and the delivery option is very important to us for a large item. As far as I can gather the turkey made a journey to York and then back again, and not on the same day. I know DPD we’re experiencing difficulties, but this is not ideal for fresh poultry, never mind the vexed question of food miles. In future perhaps local items could travel in your own van? Having said all that no harm was done and, as usual, the meat was delicious.”

“The turkey for our early Christmas was delivered as ordered but I was rather surprised that it was frozen! This was in the middle of the very cold spell and presumably it had been in a van or store overnight. It thawed out in time and was delicious.”

“I ordered a Chateaubriand for our Christmas day lunch and it was melt in the mouth delicious. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We served it with rosemary roasted crushed potatoes and griddled asparagus, tender stem broccoli with a red wine sauce. Would definitely order again.”

“Everything I have bought from this company has been first-class. The pork was the best we have ever tasted and even the pigs in blankets were very tasty. We will certainly shop at Farmisons again as the cooking instructions are easy to follow to get a perfect meal every time.”
