“I've been ordering for years and have always been happy with the products and service. I'm diappointed with the frozen range. The baby back ribs were a it tough even after slow cooking for 5 hours. The varied beef wasn't the same one that used to order. It was not as tasty and the texture was different. I hope this frozen range will get better. I'm also hoping that my Christmas order will be in the same standard as every year.”

“My wife and I are extremely impressed with Farmison's service, despite not yet having the pleasure of eating their products. We have encountered two (minor) issues with the companies website. In each case our email raising the issue was promptly answered and the issue totally resolved to our satisfaction. Most impressive.”

“Had my first order of beef cheeks delivered yesterday...slow cooked them for 3hrs in beef stock and blend of Indian spices...let cool down in the Le Creuset and made a Biryani for dinner... Excellent flavour and buttery smooth Philip F”

“This review is for the chicken sausages and whilst I have no complaints about the delivery time or packaging, I am not satisfied with the product. They did not cook as shown in your online picture, but burnt even on medium heat. The skins didn't feel nice in the mouth, there was very little chickeny taste but there was an overriding taste, which lingered, of pepper. I envisaged serving them with mash and a lentil/tomato/shallot stew, and whilst the accomplishments were good, the sausages let the meal down. An expensive mistake I won't be repeating.”

“I have been a loyal Farmison customer for years and can’t fault the exceptional produce, but have recently had and appalling “computer says no” customer service experience. Was rejected from a “spend £60 to qualify” promotion due to 3 items I buy as part of my regular order being part of a different promotion; something completely out of my control. I've Heard Field & Flower is exceptional so taking my future custom to them out of principal.”

“Delighted to find Farmisons and order a good variety of free range and heritage meats. The delivery to Scotland goes very well in a tight freezer box. The price is probably about right for the quality you get.”

“Utterly awful, tasteless meat. Easily the worst Chateaubriand ever tasted. Despite being perfectly cooked it proved impossible to cut with an electric carving knife and eventually had to be ‘ hacked’ by a cleaver. Quality dreadful. What a wasted dinner …..never again would I buy from this fifth rate supplier.”

“Apologies for my late review as I was unaware of the link. I had a very disappointing experience and feel that I should notify you. I live in France and had ordered a joint of venison for our Christmas day lunch. The delivery date was made specifically to enable my Son, who lives in the UK to bring the joint with him when he travelled down for Christmas. The order was never delivered and the communication with Farmison was not helpful advising me to wait until after Christmas. Consequently, we had to purchase whatever was left in our local supermarket on Christmas eve. This was very disappointing to say the least.”

“Farmison & Co really do deliver on their mission, the meats are excellent, pork, beef, chicken and lamb are outstanding as are the sausages and bacon. Considering the quality of the product the price represents good value for money and it's good to know that animal welfare is a priority. Packaging, delivery and customer service in my experience is faultless. Everything is very well packed in insulated packages and delivered on time. I called customer service to ask about a change I wanted to make to an order and the service was very friendly, helpful and efficient. If you enjoy food and care about traditional farming methods and animal welfare then I would certainly recommend Farmison & Co.”

“Excellent service, the lamb chops were superb (albeit expensive) and we enjoyed the breakfast sausages but we found the smoked back bacon disappointing it was too salty and would prefer thicker rashers.”

“Ordered the dry cure fennel and lemon spiced spatchcock chicken, the best chicken I have ever eaten. Good quality and the flavour went through into the meat - divine!”

“Delighted to see Farmison back in business, and not just because of the excellent merguez. Never had any delivery or packaging problems, but generally order 6 days in advance and for the day before any of it is needed, vans, weather and roads being what they are. It's all good, but chicken and lamb particularly appreciated. Recommend the lamb shwarma and the spatchcock chicken, too. Recipe info is v good, also. Best local butcher here closed down, so Farmison's return was all the more welcome. Happy to pay a bit more for free-range food of this quality ; have been eating less but better meat for some time now. Venison is great when available.”

“If you want your meat delivering on time, don’t bother with these guys. Oh and the customer service when trying to sort out is shocking too. Meat too late for my event now and £100 down as had to buy elsewhere. My meat is still on en route tho apparently from farmison.”

“I have been using Farmison for many years now and I cannot fault the local farmer's standards during growing of the meat and the cutting butchers - the standards all round are unbeliveably good and the best that I have come across in many a year. Over time, I have tried just about all cuts of meat from Farmison (beef/chicken,bacon etc) and cannot find fault. Customer service's knowledge is great and they are very helpful and they have managed to find a good courier service. Yes, the prices of the meat are a bit eyewatering at times but you can taste and see the difference quality wise. Their meat is all grown slowyl-just buy one one of their chickens and a supermarket or local high street butcher chicken and see the difference in not just the quality of meat but the sizes of the bones - you will be amazed.”

“Dreadful delivery service, last order I had was delivered late on a Sunday, and now today Father’s Day all of our bbq food which should have been delivered here by 6pm at the latest, is now showing on the tracking that it won’t be delivered until 7pm!!!! So on Father’s Day we won’t be able to have the food I ordered as it will be here too late and we don’t want to eat at 8.30pm it’s too late , I’m so annoyed that this has happened again, when are you going to change delivery company, totally let down and want a refund and you can have your food back”
