“very usefull.
maybe you can add a rules about check in and out electronic equipment: check if the things work when someone collect and when they give back !”
“I have lent out my guitar maybe 6-8 times over the last year and all my experiences have been good, the borrowers have treated the guitar with the respect it deserves!
On the borrowing side the only things I've rented have been a nice Fujifilm camera for a holiday, and a PlayStation VR Kit to try out for a weekend.. again no complaints, lenders were communicative and handover a were painless.”
“Used FatLama quite a few times now, its my go to for Rentals. As a Videographer and Photographer I'm always looking into getting the best kit for my projects so rather than spending millions I'm able to connect with others like me who have the kit I need and rent it for a reasonable price! Great service by FatLama too, have used their customer support when I've had difficulties and they're usually quick to respond.”
“The platform is solid and the customer is generally good. The fees they charge (on both sides of the transaction) are rather high however. The insurance is an excellent and necessary provision, but looking at the details it’s limited - it doesn’t cover cosmetic damage (which may be important to resale value of an item) and appears to be limited to the price you paid for an item rather than the value of the item itself. That could cause issues of you bought an item at a discount, or a similar type of situation.”
“A refreshingly new idea making hiring of equipment cheaper and easier than the commercial market currently offers. Though not without its flaws, Fat Lama does what it does very well, and certainly well enough. If you're looking to use something you don't own, it is definitely worth a visit as you might find someone can rent it to you so you can avoid buying something you only need a for a short while. Don't think this is just for film-makers- though that is the first impression one might get. They have listings for a much wider market. Fat Lama would do well to address their first impression as it does put folk off. I feel it is a safe site and the renting security is very well thought through for both parties.”
“The site is very good. Renters and borrowers are vetted so that gives a sense of security. It felt a bit unnerving at first renting valuable gear to strangers, but since the site seemed so reputable, and stand behind their rental community, I felt confident enough to go ahead. So far, it's all gone well.”
“Fat Lama is a good idea and works pretty well. However the calendar and booking system is appalling, and the messaging system is at best a bit ropey. Once they fix the bugs and get some decent develops on the case, it will be great.”
“I love fat Liama and would recommend it to anyone you really can find what you need and when you want it for any reason also you can rent your own valuables out very easy to use as well.”
