“Our first experiece of this boat yard. Very impressed with the attention given by all the staff. The boat was wonderful, ticked all the boxes. Added bonus was the fact that our beds were made up when we arrived - usually such a chore on the first night. We have been visiting the Broads regularly over the past 40 years and this year was one of the best thanks to Ferry Marina.”

“Been having Boating holidays with this company for many years and would not use a different one. Customer service is always superb, as are the boats. We've had many of their boats from old to new and all are impeccably maintained and are always immaculately clean. Faultless and highly recommended.”

“finding the marina not easy. (turn right at what telephone box?) all staff and crew rate 10 / 10 , the boat however only rated a poor 6/10, broken loo, listing to one side, ill fitting sliding canopy”

“Spent a week at the little house.Was loverly,clean and spacious.Located in centre of Horning near restaurants. Would rent again.Fishing is good ,plenty to catch .”

“Was on quartz nice boat for four. Only downside was the table. Its a bit too big and heavy. Otherwise great. Nice people at ferry marina .hopefully will be getting a boat next year .”

“The day before our three day break aboard Golden Emblem was marked by my 90th birthday , our first day marked my sons 57 th . As a birthday treat it could not have been better . The boat was excellent . Built to a high standard ,and having built a 40 ft motor sailor in 1987 I have a critical eye . The accommodation for our daughter and husband , my wife and I and our son was without fault . The boat layout with forward galley layout and panoramic windows was ideal . My wife and I had our honeymoon on the Broads in 1956 ,based on Oulton Broad .We revisited many places with fond memories and though now built up in places much was familiar . Mind you late October ‘56 was not all that warm with ice on the deck . But the heating on Golden was faultless . Smooth running engine , bow thruster and a son laden with RYA qualifications as Skipper meant that this old man could relax and enjoy . Maybe, God willing , we will hope to come again thanks to Ferry Marina Dr Frank Newton OBE”

“The day before our booking I became 90 . The first day our son became 57. So we decided to return to the Broads (where my wife and I spent our honeymoon in 1956 .) with our son and daughter and her husband .We were not disappointed . Golden Emblem proved to be a great vessel .Well designed and built to a high standard which I appreciated having myself built a 40 ft motor sailor in 1987 . The presentation of the boat was first class . All very clean and fresh . Nothing missing that we might have wanted .Nothing went wrong . We covered a good distance over the three days without a single hiccup . Having a son who is vastly experience in off shore sailing and who trains others to various RYA grades was a help ! I do hope we can repeat the experience again provided I add a few more years to my total thus far . Thank you . Very well done . Yours sincerely. Dr Frank Newton OBE”

“This was the tenth time we have been with Ferry Marina, we have had 6 different boats each has been immaculate and never had a problem with any of them. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, can’t wait to book again”

“Friendly staff. VERY well organised, from check-in to check-out. Car parking & loading luggage onto/off boat were very well sorted. Boat was clean & equipment levels good. Overall cost was reasonable - we particularly liked the 'all inclusive' bit - it saved so much faffing about at check-out. Highly recommended & in a great location.”

“We hired Bronze Emblem and were impressed from the minute we stepped into the boat yard. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Excellent onboard overview and river trial offered as well. The boat was very clean and tidy. Fairly well equipped as well. I love that the price you pay is upfront, no additional add ons of fuel, parking etc as this is included. Very competitive pricing, lovely boats and wonderful staff. Thank you!”
