“My recent trip to the Azores was my second with Flash Pack (I travelled to Türkiye with FP two years ago). Both were uniquely wonderful experiences, incomparable in most ways, but overall the Azores really stands out. In Türkiye the pace of the itinerary was frenetic at times, but in the Azores, FP has struck the perfect balance.
Our small group of eight got on very well, and our guide Eduardo was a highlight of the trip for everyone. His authentic love for his island is evident and his demeanour is very well suited to his job. We had the best time with him, including many shared laughs. We felt very safe, he anticipated our every need, and made small adjustments as needed to suit our preferences.
The entire island of Sao Miguel is a lush botanical paradise. The itinerary is very well balanced, with stunning hikes of varying intensity (and the option to sit out for the more strenuous hike if desired - but if I can do it, anyone can!). The payoff: a dip in the cool waters of breathtaking waterfall.
Even the activities that I would not have chosen on my own turned out to be fantastic: breakfast with goats was an absolute blast (complete with an amazing spread of locally made jams, cheeses, breads, fruits etc.) and cuddles with baby goats! Whale watching was in a speedboat type-vessel that was both incredibly fun and that placed us basically at water level as dolphins and sei whales frolicked beside us in the water.
The thermal waters were relaxing and located amongst the most incredible botanical gardens I’ve ever seen (Terra Nostra).
There was a perfect amount of free time to allow for enjoyment of the hotel’s fantastic amenities and for a bit of exploring on our own.
Finally, after our farewell dinner Eduardo helped us to organize our own sunset trip Ferraria (ocean thermal pools that are heated by volcanic activity) which was unforgettable (and not for the faint of heart!).
Overall an unforgettable trip that has left me already dreaming of my next Flash Pack adventure…”

“The trip was filled with so many fantastic moments! Our group included Flash Packers from five continents, which brought a variety of perspectives to the trip and added to the experience. The rafting was such a fun activity in a beautiful setting, and the rafting guide made me feel very safe while enjoying some light adventure. The sunset dinner cruise on a private boat was something I will remember always...the views from the boat, the time with new friends, swimming near the island, and the delicious dinner. The people on the trip were lots of fun to get to know and to make memories with, and we were definitely sad to say goodbye at the end. Our guide, Alenka, was great about sending out the schedule the day before for planning purposes and ideas for our free time, and we had a nice mix of organized activities and time to explore, exercise and relaxation. Having a comfortable vehicle and the same trustworthy driver throughout was much appreciated, and they even had water at the ready every time we got on and off the vehicle, one more thoughtful touch at making it a carefree trip. Hotel swimming pools included breathtaking views, and the hotel breakfasts were a nice way to start the day. The truffle lunch was delectable, as well. Other highlights included the unbelievable view from Vogel Mountain and the picturesque town of Rovinj. If I could experience the magic of the week again, I would in a heartbeat. Every single day of the trip was a dream, and I loved getting to see the beauty of Slovenia and Croatia. This was my second Flash Pack trip, and I look forward to hopefully experiencing more.”

“I had the most amazing time on the South Africa trip (July 2025). Highlights were definitely the safari and the tour through Soweto in Joburg.
Would recommend that Flashpack extend the stay for a night at the safari so flashpackers could relax a bit more by the pool since we were in the go so much. Recommend that flashpack organizers cater packing lists to seasonalities as many of us were not prepared for how cold it was in Cape Town.

“This trip surpassed my expectations (which is difficult to do). I went on the alternative Thailand trip. Our Pack Leader, Gong, was so amazing, caring, Informative, and kept our trip exciting and moving seamlessly. It was nice to have most things planned out for us as there was definitely a lot of planning that would have been required. The accommodations were fantastic. We experienced so much variety in our travels- culture, nature, food, and more. It was also great to meet like minded people in my same age range to enjoy the trip with and forge friendships with. “For my first time as a Flash Packer, I had an amazing experience with Norway's Glaciers and Fjords! Not only did I feel like the trip had a lot of variety and chances to experience what makes Norway great, but our guide, Raivis Aire was outstanding! He not only had knowledge of the area and its history but he kept the group fun and engaged without being an overbearing tour guide. The trip wouldn't have been what it was without him! My only complaint (if it can really be called that) is that I wish there had been slightly more variation with some of the scheduled/provided meals. Not to say the food we had wasn't delicious but allowing people to have a little more variety to pick from could enhance the trip even more!”
“Classical Turkiye - amazing start to finish!
I did the Classical Turkiye trip and loved every second! Flashpack did an amazing job of taking us to well known historical and cultural sites as well as unique aspects of the country that we wouldn't have gotten had we travelled on our own. The hot air balloon was a once in a lifetime experience but I equally loved having a home made lunch in a real Turkish home and visiting the most amazing carpet making co-op that's preserving the art as well as employing and empowering women and their economic position.
Although I love to travel this was such a welcome change to have the trip organized by someone other than me, I got to really relax and enjoy myself without worrying about logistics.
Our pack leader Sefa was an absolutely highlight of the trip, it takes a special person to bring a group of strangers together so quickly but he made us all instantly comfortable, and added such value to the trip with his encyclopedic knowledge and true passion for his amazing country. Sefa will make you love Turkiye; his warmth and engaging spirit made this one of the most fun group trips I've ever been on. Thank you Sefa!”
“I have traveled a lot... for work/personal etc but My Flash Pack adventure through Bosnia and Montenegro was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken.
What made this experience stand out wasn’t just the stunning scenery, it was the thoughtful curation behind every moment. The itinerary was packed with unique, bespoke experiences I probably would have never found or thought to plan on my own.
The accommodations were great, logistics ran seamlessly, and our trip leader was phenomenal. Phenomenal I tell you. I didn’t have to think about a single detail. Everything was taken care of, which meant I could fully disconnect and just be present. As a "Type A'' person that is always constantly planning everything for everyone else, it felt incredible to be led around the world with absolutely everything organized for me. That was the real vacation.

“Above and Beyond in Every Way!
I’ve never done a tour with Flash Pack before, but have traveled extensively including some experiences with other tours. I can’t say enough good things about this experience.
For only a 12 day trip, we did an incredible amount of activities. The days perfectly blended cultural experiences, local flavor, bonding opportunities, and relaxation periods. It brought together people from all different cultures, even with those who come from the same country. They paired the roommates beautifully, as I know my roommate and I will remain friends forever and possibly even travel together again in the future.
Our guide, Ramli, was beyond exceptional — thorough, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely caring. He blended in perfectly with our group where we didn’t feel babysat, but handled every interaction and concern with complete professionalism and expertise. He goes above and beyond for his group—at one point on the trip I lost one of my earrings, and he made it a mission to find me a comparable pair in a nearby shop. They’re so beautiful I don’t even miss the old ones. That is the kind of above-and-beyond individual care Ramli provides his group. When we collectively weren’t happy with our last accommodation, he immediately sprung into action to do whatever he could to rectify it for us. We ended up at an amazing last location that we couldn’t have been happier with, and it is all because of the rapport Ramli built with us where we felt comfortable telling him our concerns and his readiness to make things right.
In terms of suggestions for improvement, I propose the following—
1. Book only second class tickets for the Kandy train ride if possible. Majority of us had first class, which sounds like it would be far better, but you can’t open the windows to look out at the scenery in first class. We all ended up drifting back to second class after ticket check because it was a better experience.
2. The hotel in Yala was so beautiful but we didn’t get to experience it much because of the safari. Several of us ended up booking a second safari the next morning and saw much more wildlife on that one. The trip should go directly to the hotel in Yala for free time, and just make the safari the next morning instead. It doesn’t require people to wake up any earlier than we did for the yoga class. This would also cut down on the long travel time that day where a safari almost felt like too much to do.
3. Move the last location from the Sheraton Kosgoda - Turtle Beach to the Anantara Kalutara Resort we ended up switching to. This was a significantly better hotel that offered far more to do than the Sheraton, while providing the local flair we didn’t feel from such a western corporate hotel chain.
Overall, between the excellent experiences and our all-star tour guide Ramli, I would absolutely recommend Flash Pack to others, and look forward to booking my next adventure!”
