Swiftcover honestly is the worst Insurance Company I have ever used. After having a collision in my vehicle in November 2018, the claim was only fully completed in March 2019. It took 2 and a half months for me to get a courtesy car and for my un-driveable car to be collected, leaving me to have to arrange alternative transport for this time period - including getting back to home which is a 3 hour train journey as I had no access to any vehicle. I was left to chase them for months just to arrange to get my car taken in, and was being thrown back and forth between garages they had allocated to sort my vehicle who were not aware that it was un-driveable, meaning they then had to decline my car. After finally getting my car in with them, they then failed to offer any type of compensation for the excessive delay in the repairs of my vehicle - I was left to then make 2 complaints regarding the services I had been provided. They offered me a mere £350 reimbursement of my £500 voluntary excess and £200 involuntary excess (£700 in total) which I declined and escalated to their senior level for review. They then waited 35 days to come back to me, before saying that they had not had a chance to review it and they I could take them to the Financial Services Ombudsmen - which of course I did. After delaying that process by another month by ignoring the Ombudsmen when asked to provide certain information. The only thing I can say that was good about them was that after being told by the Ombudsmen what they had to reimburse me they sent the cheque right away.

Was left stranded 80 miles away from home, reported the accident told I’d get a curtesy car to travel back with my young daughter, then told 2 days later you’ll have too make your own way back and we’ll give you up to £300 expenses, but make it the cheapest way possible. Shocking customer service.

I reported a stolen car and was told I would be contacted to arrange a courtesy car. I heard nothing for a few hours and hence called back. I was then told the office was closed until Monday (I contacted them on Saturday)...there was nothing they could do until the main office was open again (in 2 days). I'm a Community Nurse and was unable to see my patients. Happy to take my money but the service received is shocking.....avoid at all costs.

Don't be fooled by the idea that doing everything yourself online is easier, the online appliction has some real problems. You end up calling, listening to a 20 minute message about everthing being easier online, only to be told there's nothing they can do. Another company that is great until you need them. 0/10

My policy expiring next month, receive an email regards renewal with automatic payment with a higher payment from previous year, without make any claims or have any other issues. Of course I didn’t agree and I called them to asking why the price is going up, the answer was very rude , something like “this is our policy and if you are not happy you can leave at anytime “ . I said to them that I will not renew my insurance . Them offer was for £973.77 with 8 years non claim bonus. Now when I check on money supermarket the best offer was £614.03 with same details. Very disappointed!!!

Worst experience ever!! I had my car accident on 7th January. It took almost 3 weeks for Swiftcover to instruct the Recovery company to take my damaged car to their approved garage. 5 weeks have past now and the garage is STILL waiting for Swiftcover to authorise repair - that's now 8 weeks and counting!! The engineer who's responsible for authorising repairs has not returned any phone calls and emails!!

Awful customer service. Truly dreadful. They proudly say they have UK call centers but you will easily wait for over an hour getting past from pillar to post to get through to anyone plus you are getting charged for the 'pleasure' of waiting. Frustrating and just plain poor. Would rather they outsource their call centre.

An automated telephone system - every one minute “thank you for being patient, please continue to hold” - so far 30 minutes - this is to claim back the £250 excess - how long to answer a call?

On Wednesday 8th Nov 2017, I was involved in a low speed shunt into the rear of a United Utilities van, on Deansgate, Manchester. I phoned Swiftcover, gave them all the details, and was promised a recovery truck within the hour. Four hours later, still no joy, so tried to phone Swiftcover for 26 minutes and no one answered, so I phoned their recovery dept, only to be told to phone the main accident helpline, I told him no one was answering, but it went on deaf ears. The only good thing is my complaint went to a higher level. In the meantime, I phoned a Body repair garage near my home, who arranged for a recovery truck. Then I got a call from Swiftcover, apologising for their mistake, apparently the woman I gave my details to previously had missed out a digit on my phone, so were unable to ring me back, this is despite asking for my car reg and phone number FOUR TIMES ! Not forgetting all the information would have been on their computer screen, from my original proposal ! Even though I was promised a full enquiry, into my complaint, I have heard nothing to date, nor have they been in touch with me regarding the accident. My car was recovered by the body repairer of my choice and is in the process of being repaired, however, the bill for the recovery service will be passed on to Swiftcover. This is the first accident claim I have ever had, and get treated like I have. The service is a disgrace, and I will never insure with Swiftcover again. Customer claim ref No 1476106.

So far bloody useless. Had a car accident which isn’t my fault. Called AS SOON as it happened. Informed I would get a phone call back. Never did. Called the next day told a repairer would contact me within four hours. Never did. Now they are closed “can you call back Monday” without a car for the whole weekend....

5 hours I had to wait for a connection with the consultant, always! Many times, never received help after an accident Being a victim, not the perpetrator of the accident insurance company Swiftcover stole my five years of discounts after 6 months of car repair company making a repair is still waiting for money for performed work (big shame) and swift cover does not close claim lest charge the customer a greater fee in the next year, bravo never again be using the services of this company, have a nice day

Been insured with Swiftcover for 4 years, never make a claim. Quoted £300 for renewal, asked if I could make payments monthly (as it was near Christmas and I get paid after Christmas), quoted over £900 ! Goodbye Swiftcover ! I'm going elsewhere for my insurance now !
