I've got a long story to tell but it's worth reading it as it'll help save people alot of money!!! I'm 19 years old and had only held my license for about 8 months. I went on compare the market to find the cheapest insurance deals. My Policy was the cheapest one so I went along with them. I got insured on my car which was a 1.6 Honda 2001. I paid a deposit of around £380. And monthly payments of £160. I had used up around 600 - 700 miles in the first month. My speedness was 10/10 my smoothness was 10/10. But my usage was -10/10. Which gave me an overall score of 7/10 or 6/10. I paid hundreds of pounds to drive my car, not to leave it parked on my drive!! I decided to look into buying more miles and they were charging me £320 for 1000 miles. There was no way in hell I was going to pay for that. One day I was driving home from work. Finished at 10:30pm. Looked at my score the next day and they scored me -10/10 because i was driving home from work. everyday they were giving me a -10 score for usage. I couldn't enjoy myself. The second month came along and so I had already used up half of my miles, so I had 1500 left. I called up My Plicy to cancel my insurance and they told me for me to cancel my insurance I have to pay them an outstanding amout them of£645. Keep in mind I was studying and working part time, hearing those figures was huge to me at the time. That was literally my monthly salary gone. I decided not go go for that option decided to keep the insurance. Later on in recieved an email from them telling me that their cancelling the insurance policy due to me spending over 50% of the legal limit. There was just too much hassle being with this company and I was only with them for 2 months. I paid around £700+ just for being insured with them for 2 months and they caused me stress. And now just to cancel my policy they are charging me another £645 because I've already used up half of my miles and I need to pay them back for it?! I advice anyone not to get insured with them. They literally mug you off. Take your money and they honestly don't give a F*** about you.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AT THIS RUBBISH SCAM OF A COMPANY!! WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE THIRD PARTY HIT THE REAR OF MY VEHICLE, THE CASE HAS BEEN ONGOING WITH MY SOLICITORS FROM JUNE 2015 (SURPRISINGLY RECOMMENDED THROUGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY!) , - HAVE CHASED AND CHASED AND CHASED MRH SOLICITORS TODAY TO FIND THAT APPARANTLY I ACCEPTED LIABILITY TO THE ACCIDENT AND CHANGED MY STATEMENT?! POLICY SHOP HAVE MADE THIS UP AND CAUSED ME SO MUCH STRESS THAT I HAVE LOST SLEEP AND FAITH. THEY WERE SO QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY, BUT THE MINUTE I LEFT THEM THEY MADE FALSE REPORTS REGARDING MY CLAIM. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO, ITS A SCAM COMPANY!!! SHOCKING!!

This company is the biggest con ever, I'm paying £145 a month and then having to pay an extra £130 to drive 1000 miles as gone over the yearly mileage allowance! They rip you off big time, as I can't afford to keep on paying a high price to drive some miles, my car will now have to sit on the drive until my policy runs out in January! DO NOT GO WITH THIS INSUARNCE!!!

Insured my car paying a down payment of £240.00 Received documents which I signed with a copy of my Driving Licence and return within 21 days as required. Received an email on the 09/11/2016 at 12.15 with the wording ‘Failure to complete any necessary actions could result in cancellation of your insurance policy’ Attached to the email was a document ‘Cancelling my policy!’ I Called THE POLICY SHOP - I stated that surely they can't send me a email stating that if i do not action it could 'result in' cancellation attaching a Cancellation letter (dated the same day) to be advised that they sent me a letter by Recorded Delivery and that was my 7 day warning/notice of cancellation. I have NOT received any letter from them and on them checking their systems they confirmed that the Post Office attempted to delivery but the letter is still held at the Post Office. The Lady and i use this term loosely stated 'its not our fault that you weren't in' I reminder that I work full time as per the details on the Policy. The lady responded with Posting of the letter deemed that i had received it. I reminded the Lady that that is not how deemed receipt works and The Tribunal held (in regards to the Cancellation of policies) that the Onus is on the Company to confirm receipt prior to any cancellation and that they had evidence on their systems that I have absolutely NOT received it. My argument – surely that’s evidence that I have not had 7 days’ notice of cancellation therefore void as not met T&C’s The keep £89.00 for the period I was insured (3 weeks on the 09/11/2016) the keep £75.00 for the cancellation and they keep the remainder of the £240.00 that being £76.00 for lost Commission! Complaint submitted and will now take 4 weeks (up to 8 weeks if complicated) to resolve. These people find tying their shoe laces complicated so I not holding my breath!

It's just impossible to get through to them on the phone and they provide no other means of contact (email etc). I am currently waiting on hold for the 6th time in a row ( I hang up after 30 minutes). I have no idea how much the calls are costing me. I recommend you avoid this shoddy outfit like the plague.

Dont every go with this company, they said when i took out my policy that my no claims bonus was valid i then got an email saying my insurance was about to be cancelled no warning! so i rang them and got the worst customer service i have ever received saying that i was connected and i new this would happen? (no one called me) they said i could remain with them if i paid the small price of £250.00 WTF! i said i would look around at other insurances and got new insurance with another company who have been helpful and cheaper. DO NOT GO WITH THE POLICY SHOP THEY ARE RUDE OVER CHARGE THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER!

Several things went wrong here! After sending in the required documents TWICE for car insurance, they emailed me out of the blue saying if I didn't send them the documents by close of play my insurance would be cancelled at midnight. I had to pull off the road and struggled for an hour trying to upload all the info again from my mobile. I then called them and they confirmed all the documentation had been received and all was in order. A week later, I received an email stating my policy had been cancelled the week before and there were cancellation fees now due. What?? I had been driving around for a week with no insurance, non the wiser, and now it was late afternoon and I was in a car park a couple of hours from home. They said I could have a new policy, I had to go through all the questions again, but now they wanted a deposit of the cancellation fee AND a deposit, about £350.00, due immediately. I didn't have that kind of money just sitting in my bank account, so I was stranded in the car park. Their complaints department said they would investigate and would get back to me within 48 hours. Hello?? I'm still sitting in a car park, because of your screw up, and no insurance so I cant drive!! I called another insurance company which made me legal again, at a great rate. They have asked for my no claims proof and my previous insurers wouldn't release it till I paid the outstanding fee. Ransom springs to mind. Imagine if I had had an accident in that week, believing I was insured??? Could have lost my home if damages were high. Oh and the average wait time for your call to be answered is 7 minutes. Yep, I timed them each time. The phone number you call to take out a new policy gets answered very quickly for some reason. Oh and another
