“Total rip off company just out to rip people off, paid hundreds for my sons insurance and tried to charge loads more for miles daylight robbery avoid this company at all cost”
“Do not go with my policy! They come up as cheapest but that's because they monitor the amount of miles you drive with the black box and charge you hundreds to pay for extra miles, scammers! The cost of extra miles also depends on how well you drive, and they monitor your "usage", which massively lowers your score if you drive every day, in the evenings or drive long or short journeys, but they don't actually specify how long is a long journey and how long is a short journey?! It's all fabricated to make as much money as possible, and if you try to cancel they charge you hugely”
“They moan and complain at your driving for absolutely anything. I do a lot of miles a week and they charge your stupid money to add extra miles, you're better off paying the extra and going with a more known and better company, would highly recommend not to insure with this company, my insurance runs out in 3 weeks and I 100% won't be renewing it.”

“Impossible to deal with. Want to cancel policy but again. I call again today and ask if there will be any charges for this. They will not tell me . Have to wait till the next instalment comes out of the bank because they are hooked up with Close Brothers and they say that it takes 5 days for direct debit to clear. What are they on??? This outfit are a disgrace. I have been insured by them for 7 years and never made a claim.I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up. I would advise anyone looking for insurance to use anybody but them. They should be closed down.

“Everything went wrong. I was with them for 2 years but after the time they decided to put my price up from £45 to £90 a month so I decided that I will not renew with them. Unfortunately the insurance has renew it self when I was on holiday but as usual I though that I can cancell within 14 days without any charged as this is the late. I couldn't be more wrong they have charged me £75 for 8 days on the insurance!!! The worst thing about this is I have received the letter to pay the outstanding amount on the 20/3/17. I was willing to pay that but the letter said I have 6 days from the date on the letter to pay this otherwise it will be transferred over to dept company but the date on the letter was 9/3/17 but I received it on 20/3/17. This company is a joke. Stay away!!”

“I have been with the Policy Shop for 2 years in regards to home insurance for both buildings & content. I have never made a claim and this year's renewal is 50% more than what I paid last year and they tried to give me all excuses until they had admitted they had migrated with another company and this might be why. Is this really how you treat your customers, I would not recommend this company to anybody.
Please refrain from using them as they are committing day light robbery.

“So i had insurance with them on one car that car was deemed unroadworthy when I tried to insure my other car with them they said they would not insure this car and told me I should go buy a different car when I said I wanted to cancel the policy they said they'd send out a letter to me which stated I had seven days to reply but the letter didn't arrive until eight days after the date on the top of the letter when I contacted them regarding this issue they told me It wasn't there for problem and had referred it to a debt recover company who are now trying to charge £780
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy only use if you want to wast all your money and get ripped off they are just a bunch of licensed conmen but don't seem to want to help you only waited one star as it wouldn't let me select 0”

“I had a car accident so i had to contact them to get a renewal quote because oviously the price goes up after an accident so it went from £44 upto £91.56 per month, so after paying this for a month i decided to shop around found a cheaper quote of £55, so i had to ring up policy shop to cancel my insurance, i clearly stated to the guy how much ''will it cost me to cancel'' he said hang on put me on hold, he then came back and said ''we wont charge you a cancellation fee'' he said i only owed £91.56 which i said was fine i got a letter through my doorsaying i owed £91.56 no cancellation fee, as it was christmas i wasnt going to pay till the new year but i get a debt collector letter saying i owe £600 odd, absolutely disgusted i rang them up to say no i got a letter stating it was only £91.56, they told me to ring the policy shop, i stated that i sent them an email containing proof of the letter to say its only £91.56 and not £600, still the women tried to tell me that they wasnt informed i had a accident so i had to pay this amount, she said they sent me letters to say this, but i never got no letters stating that, so basically i wasnt told on the phone that that was the case that id have to pay my full years insurance because apparently they never knew i had an accident, they have just lied and made excuses to try get more money out of me, absolutely disgusted angry and upset, DO NOT USE THESE POOR EXCUSE FOR A CAR INSURANCE COMPANY!”

“I've got a long story to tell but it's worth reading it as it'll help save people alot of money!!!
I'm 19 years old and had only held my license for about 8 months. I went on compare the market to find the cheapest insurance deals. My Policy was the cheapest one so I went along with them.
I got insured on my car which was a 1.6 Honda 2001. I paid a deposit of around £380. And monthly payments of £160.
I had used up around 600 - 700 miles in the first month. My speedness was 10/10 my smoothness was 10/10. But my usage was -10/10. Which gave me an overall score of 7/10 or 6/10. I paid hundreds of pounds to drive my car, not to leave it parked on my drive!!
I decided to look into buying more miles and they were charging me £320 for 1000 miles. There was no way in hell I was going to pay for that.
One day I was driving home from work. Finished at 10:30pm. Looked at my score the next day and they scored me -10/10 because i was driving home from work. everyday they were giving me a -10 score for usage. I couldn't enjoy myself.
The second month came along and so I had already used up half of my miles, so I had 1500 left. I called up My Plicy to cancel my insurance and they told me for me to cancel my insurance I have to pay them an outstanding amout them of£645. Keep in mind I was studying and working part time, hearing those figures was huge to me at the time. That was literally my monthly salary gone.
I decided not go go for that option decided to keep the insurance. Later on in recieved an email from them telling me that their cancelling the insurance policy due to me spending over 50% of the legal limit.
There was just too much hassle being with this company and I was only with them for 2 months. I paid around £700+ just for being insured with them for 2 months and they caused me stress. And now just to cancel my policy they are charging me another £645 because I've already used up half of my miles and I need to pay them back for it?!
I advice anyone not to get insured with them.
They literally mug you off. Take your money and they honestly don't give a F*** about you.”
