I am appalled at every aspect of this company. Considering I work in a customer service role myself I understand the importance of good customer service and it seems to me that once you have paid for your insurance the members of staff working here do everything but try to help you. I have recently just received the most vague email saying my driving was being reviewed and then to my horror received an email saying I was being charged £222 premium, right before Christmas as well! I rang up and spoke to a Yusri, asking for this to be explained and again absolutely horrific customer service and so rude!!! He explained that my driving score had dropped by 10 for about 1-2 days yet my average score had been consistently above 60 it was just for this particular occasion. An this therefore meant I was being charged an additional £222 with no warning! Would love to understand where this number was plucked from? I booked my insurance over the phone and at no point was I made aware of this 10 point rule which apparently ‘I should have read the t&c’s after booking’ this vital piece of information is not something that should be in small print as you are getting ripped off such an excessive amount. I constantly checked my dashboard and my overall score was within very good and excellent so of course I felt I had no reason to believe I was in danger of being charged a premium. I also tried to access the app which does not work an will not log you in so your only way of checking your score is on the dashboard. To add to this my speed is not the issue as I stick to the speed limit this is based upon my acceleration and braking which is not something that I can entirely control if somebody pulls out in front of me. I will be raising awareness on issues like this to ensure other members of the public are not ripped off by companies like this. I would urge people to read the other reviews on this company, hopefully this company can see its errors and review their terminology and disclosing more information to the consumer as people should be fully aware of what is expected of them. Overall I would be ashamed to be running a company like this offering this woeful level of service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took insurance out with a black box and all was fine. Then I get an email requesting documents, the email was very vague so I emailed back for clarification of what documents they needed. No reply. I then got an email saying my policy will be cancelled within a week if I don’t send the documents, this email clearly stated what documents they needed, so I sent them with no problem (I sent them on a Sunday morning) I then had a response on the Wednesday which was the proposed cancellation date which said the V5 was insufficient and I had a further 21 days to send another copy. Next day policy got cancelled. Obviously I have been in touch with customer service and a manager, which are useless and unprofessional. The agents don’t have a clue what they’re talking about half the time and all they are interested in is the money. I Tried saying I should have a further 21 days as that’s what the latest email stated. I would understand if I had not co operated however I have sent various emails and have had no replies however they claim this is the main way of communication. Still waiting for a call back 3 days later than expected for a solution. Policy has been wrongly cancelled and now my insurance will increase due to having the policy cancelled which doesn’t look good on myself. Worst insurance company I’ve ever come across, do not take a policy out with them under any circumstances

It doesn’t let me log in the app, even after registering again, also I need to sometimes make journeys after 11pm but wise driving doesn’t let me, wouldn’t recommend this.

Awful company. Missed a payment because I was ill in hospital and explained this and wanted to arrange payment back and just got ignored and cancelled policy anyway. Also the score on the box dropped alot even though my car has been permanently stationery on my drive for weeks

Absolutely rubbish company. Was in an accident and they didn’t try very hard to get it sorted. Full fault of the other driver (stagecoach driver) and wisedrive phoned saying they couldn’t get hold of the other company (again stagecoach). Bare in mind the bus has a camera on the side of it, but the driver didn’t report the incident (clearly knowing he was in the wrong and the footage would show that) and wisedrive just let it go, so I had to pay for my own repair and then find out that they have taken my no claims as well. Would not recommend at all.

Cancelled my policy because they said I had claims even tho I sent them proof I didn’t!! Now they want £80 cancellation fee off me

When I started the policy I was hounded with emails daily demanding my proof of no claims bonus. When there was a delay getting this from my previous insurer Wise driving charged me an extra admin fee (the first hidden fee!). Then they began hounding me to get the telematics mix installed as fast as possible, and threatened in emails to cancel my policy if it wasn't installed quick enough. Now I have come to the end of my policy and to switch to another (cheaper) insurer I want their box out of my vehicle, and they have refused to remove it unless I pay a £90 fee (another hidden fee!). I asked to speak to a supervisor about this and was told "that wasn't going to happen". Absolutely disgusting customer service, cold and uncaring.

Hi Cole, We're sorry to hear you're unhappy. When taking up the policy we do advise what documents are required and the timescale the box needs to be installed by. All fees are available on our terms and conditions. In regards to the removal of a box there is a fee to do so but you do not have to have this removed. Talk about bad company I have just cancelled my car insurance with wise for the second time in a month the fist did not tell the insure that I want to cancel they now want to take £218.70 off me I understand the £78 for cancellation worth every penny They say Cost of Insurance cover £300.43 they don't even insure the car Close Bro's do also want Non-refundable Fees charged to date £220.00 what's this about I have never ever paid out this much in all the years I have been driving and I require a no claims bonus letter Please, I just wonder if this will be answered

We are a broker so we arrange and administrate the insurance and the cover is provided by the insurer. Within in 2 weeks of joining them I suspected I had made an mistake. Refusing to accept my no claims firstly because it was an email from the company. then a letter that was as they specified but that still wasn't good enough and their stupidity despite the document being PDF was editable and it was only when i pointed out that if they had converter it would default to that as i was unable to edit it on my pc that then they said i couldn't use it as it only had an incorrect name, 2 months later when legally, which you think they no something about i don't have to use my double barrel name but the fact that i also put my husband on the insurance whose name is the barrel i dropped is just ridiculous. No apology, i have written and they have said they will come back to me in 3 months... ok when you are overcharging, not ok if you are the one paying.... promises of money back, an extra month of payment when i cancelled because they kept asking me if i was sure... do not waste your time or money. I should have stayed with coverbox. Same job, mush better

I was with this company because initially it was a cheaper option. I have now been with the company for 3 years! My car was recently written off... Since the incident the company have shown no compassion, quality customer service or customer loyalty. I am extremely angry after many phone calls (my end) where employees have told me one thing then another told me something else. Tonight I spoke with someone who was just darn right RUDE, he spoke over me and didn’t listen to what I was saying. Instead of listening to what I was saying, he presumed and insisted he was right. I have left this company loosing all my years no claims, no car, and they are still insisting money for ‘cancelling’ my insurance after my car was WRITTEN OFF, no choice of my own. Would not recommend!!

Worst insurance group I have ever been with and ever heard of, I have had nothing but trouble with you. I have been stressed relating back to this. My box was apparently not working for 7/8 months but nobody said anything and now all of a sudden my score drops dramatically and I’m charged. I think it’s the biggest waste of time and money I have ever seen I will be going public about this group to ensure that young drivers like my self don’t take out a premium with you.

****** WARNING * WARNING * WARNING ****** If you ignore this notice, you may as well throw your money down the drain ! They emailed me one day and said my driving was great and if I continue I might even get some money back 2 Days later they told me they would be cancelling my insurance. The charge me cancelling, they charged me for the black box twice have cost me a great deal of money.
