I bought a Clematis Cassandra in March. It is supposed to be an upright, strong stemmed herbaceous variety 3ft tall. Nine months later is clearly a climber, sprawling over its neighbours and just coming into bud. A waste of £26.

My daughter ordered a Pearl Clematis for my anniversary and it did not arrive on due date and when it did arrive was in very poor condition. It died with a few weeks and despite me trying to contact the company I have heard nothing

Ordered a 65 rose for a friend’s 65th birthday giving over 3wks notice and set a delivery date. No communication to say it was dispatched, who the courier was. The delivery day arrived, surprise nothing. Tried phoning, nothing. Emailed several times, got an automated response a day later. Replied saying I wasn’t happy, they blamed the courier but said it was due that day which it did. I paid extra for gift wrapping and the pathetic card I was sent was embarrassing with a hand written message which I could have done myself. Still waiting for another reply. If I’d read some of these reviews before ordering I wouldn’t have used them. Best advice avoid this company

I have purchased many plants from here before but this was the absolute worst customer service I have experienced, paid for named delivery for date husband would be home, it arrived day early and was left on doorstep on a main road so was taken- company didn't want to know

Item arrived two days early even though a named day of delivery was paid for. The gift card and message was missing and most annoyingly there was no name on the plant so the person for whom it was bought will have no idea why this particular plant was chosen (it had the name of her mum who had recently passed away). Shall not be using again or recommending this site.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I was so excited to find a rose called Mandy for my best friend. I ordered it and paid in September, now its nearly December and no rose yet. Now says out of stock! I have emailed several times and called too! Very upsetting and disappointed. I am out of pocket and have no rose.

When the rose was delivered we were shocked to find a straggly, storky looking rose bush with just one pink rose forming from a bud and, in particular, hardly any leaves. Not the “Masses of rich pink flowers complemented by dark glossy green foliage” being the description on your website. This was intended for a special friend’s 80th birthday celebration and who is an avid gardener. We were too embarrassed to give this to her and expected more for the total of £41.94 which we paid. We wrote and asked for a refund. Their reply :- Bearing in mind it is now in mid October you will not find any rose in full bloom and fully in leaf. It is the time of year and with the colder weather coming over this weekend it will cause more leaf fall. This is the natural habit for a rose to look like at this time of year. Giftaplant. My reply to Giftaplant :- Thank you for your response to my complaint which I totally dispute. This morning we were at our local garden centre, where there was a full section of roses in full leaf and in bloom, where we bought a beautiful, bushy “David Austin” rose for £30, with dark green glossy leaves, buds, a few flowers and no charge for gift wrapping. Your statement "you will not find any rose in full bloom and fully in leaf" is totally incorrect and dismissive. This rose was purchased from you almost a week ago now when the weather had been mild and cold weather had not yet set in. The description on your website is incorrect and deceptive and therefore contrary to the Trades Description Act. I therefore repeat that I would like a refund for the money I paid you, as I did not get what I paid for. A refund was given.

Do not use this company. Gift never arrived, and after phoning the nursery they tell me that the offices are not manned by Gift A Plant and they have been told not to take any calls. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Do not buy from this company!!!! I pre ordered a rose called Iris (as my nan Iris had just passed away.) I actually bought 3 roses one for myself, my mum and brother, a total of £98 spent. They were ordered in October and arrived end of November and I couldn’t plant in garden due to frost and snow and it being winter. The roses have now all died which is apparently my fault as not put in the garden straight away! I find it very strange that 1 rose was kept in Manchester and 2 went to Southampton and all 3 have ended the same way. Their customer service is terrible, my dad is still waiting on an E mail reply and we have both tried to ring daily but no one answers the phone. (I’ve since seen this on other reviews on here) When they replied to me they have basically said that the rose is out of the 8 week period and should have been planted outside. They had no empathy or offered anything to resolve the matter which I found very frustrating considering the amount I have spent. I personally think the roses were dug from the wet fields at the wrong time of year which is why they told me I had to wait for them. It’s very strange that 3 roses have died! I also find it very strange that you can’t leave reviews on their website and that all the reviews are positive. (Are these made up?!) But most of the reviews on trust pilot are negative. Personally please don’t waste your money and support the local garden centres as I sure their customer service would be much better . Very sad customer as I now have no memory rose for my nan in my garden which is a shame as she loved her garden x

This is about the fourth time I have either received or bought a rose from gift a plant. Once more a beautiful rose has been delivered in perfect condition. Good price. The perfect way to celebrate an occasion.

Very poor quality product! I bought a rose for a friends 60th birthday and it is in such poor condition I cannot possibly give this to her!! £36 wasted!! They will not answer the phone and do not respond to emails - avoid this company at all costs!!!

Under no circumstances should you buy anything from this website. You will simply be throwing your money away. My order was accepted and the money was taken. I ordered a rose in November to be delivered in December. It has never arrived and my phone calls and emails go unanswered.

the rose bush ordered and paid delivery for specific date arrived earlier and left on doorstep in full view and direct sunlight until arrived home on correct day of delivery. on opening the box with arrows pointing upwards found the plant upside down gift wrapping ruined plant damaged and soil in bottom of box. unable to contact via phone even in the short hours stated they were open. eventuaally got email replies but no one seemed to grasp the fact the plant was upside down in the box.eventually got it collected and refunded. definitley will not be using Giftaplant again. awful customer service

I heard that Giftaplant is owned by Spring Reach Nursery, West Horsley. they may be able to sort out problems with Giftaplant?

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE ROSE PLANT THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME FOR MY 80th BIRTHDAY. IMPOSSIBLE TO SEND AN EMAIL OR SPEAK TO THEM. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

My dad past away recently, so ordered and paid for a certain day. Unable to get hold of them on the phone and sent emails. Very disappointed. I will not recommend this company at all. I have to now try get a refund from them some how. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

Ordered a memorial plant and paid £7 to be delivered on a specific day, took a day off work unpaid to accept delivery on ‘named day‘ only for it to not arrive. Phoned the company 25 times over 2 days an no answer. No email to even say despatched with no tracking numbers provided etc. I’m so angry and the lack of service and they aren’t cheap either. Paid £32 for 1 rose as it was for a memorial! Please do not use this awful company!! No idea how to get my refund as no one answers the calls!!

Ordered a Coral rose for my sister and brother-in-law for their 35th wedding anniversary Due to date falling between Christmas and New Year I thought delivery might be late but I was surprised to hear it was delivered on time Beautifully gift-wrapped Excellent service

The service & delivery was fantastic, they were very helpful. & importantly the birthday "Rachel Rose" that i ordered arrived well presented & it looked beautiful & it is flourishing. I am very happy & won't hesitate to use them again. & i have no hesitation in recommend Giftaplant.
