Your analysis cost wise of the car insurance brokers etc was satisfactory. However the broker / insurance co. after an insurance certificate had been sent to me unknown to me cancelled my insurance . This only came to light when the MIB licensing agency stated a few months late that I did not have insurance cover !! When approached the insurance broker/ co stated they had requested further information by e mail to myself and my wife. ( never received) Since I had not replied they cancelled the insurance after a couple of weeks without informing me and keeping the years premium . When approached they offered a partial refund. On stating I was taking legal advice on potential fraud this was increased by £40 On advice of a family member ( a solicitor } I accepted this . I then used GO compare to find another insurance company who have taken my years subscription but I am awaiting documentation. Owen Davies

OK for Insurance comparison quotes; very lengthy online procedure; not quick; technical collapse of Lloyds & M&S sites when went to them for more details !!! : also I was phoned afterwards by a GoCompare rep who asked me ALL of the same insurance application questions again !! this took 23 minutes of my valuable time ! Then he had the cheek to transfer me to some idiot at an insurance intermediary (A...F... )who wasted another 15 minutes and we got nowhere. In the end i managed to access Post office where I finally got some help. EXPLAIN HOW I GET MY £250 EXCESS WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT I MIGHT NEED IT ??

I always use comparison sites for insurance and you are normally quite competitive however this year none of your quotes were realistic with the cheapest still being 60% more expensive than what I found elsewhere. Will check again next year

helpful up to a point but it was maddeningly frustrating NOT to be able to get hold of you by phone to obtain clarification and help. By the way the next quesiion is crazy. You were NOT available by telephone, chat as you did not supply a phone no. or an email address.

It took a long time to sort my insurance out and didn't let me know if the payment was made. I couldn't print off or save a copy of the insurance. Not sure if I am insured.

Still not set up as it wouldn’t take my card payment but now the price has increased I have to research with other providers not a great start

Good, but really difficult to go back and make any changes. We tried to find best ins for our daughter and not easy to search for a relative

I have had a problem with the website I have tried to insure my partner but ended up with me being the main driver on her policy and the named driver I insured through halifax today phoned within a few minutes to be charged £35 for the additional premium or £20 to cancel admin charge despite the insurance does not start until next wednesday Not happy with the service

The site gave me plenty of quotes. However, several of the quotes (Halifax, Lloyds and M&S) were more expensive when I clicked through to purchase and it was very frustrating to not be able to buy the cheapest quote but to have to keep clicking through until I found one that was actually the same price as on the go compare site (Quote me happy)

Tried Go Compare but all quotes never gave free 250 excess. May be I missed something but hey GOCOMPARE.

Received different quotes for different days and the cheapest quote of £766 that I saved, said will expire in 5 days but it expired only in 2 days. Not a good first experience.
