Booked for my daughter's 11th brirthday. When we booked we were told we would get the following. Unicorn room and spa decor Spa Robes & Head wraps Unicorn Iridescent Jelly Pedicures Shimmer Arm Lotion Shimmer Foot Lotion Finger Nail Paint Toe Nail Paint Unicorn Nail Art Pin The Horn on the Unicorn Game Unicorn Pinata Photos in front of our Unicorn Backdrop What we actually got was the normal spa decor (dirty and tacky)with 2 unicorn cushions - no other unicorn decor, robes which didn't look like they had been washed! but no head wraps, 5 minutes in a foot spa but no pedicure, arm lotion (not shimmery), no foot lotion, plain nail varnish on fingers and toes but no nail art, eye shadow and a bit of coloured spray in their hair. There were no games, no photos or unicorn backdrop and definitely no Pinata! the party host went after an hour and thirty minutes when we had paid for 2.5 hours. I have been trying to resolve this with the company but they don't answer the phone or reply to emails (Interestingly they were very efficient when we were booking!)

These people are charlatans. Zara turned up on time last Saturday for my daughter's 11th birthday and then huffed and puffed when I refused to move my car from outside my house so that she could park there. This did not get us off to a good start. She only had to bring in 4 IKEA sized bags of sub-standard products. All really poor quality stuff including out of date magazines that were way too old for the age group. However before Zara even unpacked her tatty clobber she requested the balance in cash. I enquired where her colleague was as it clearly states on the GBG Website that 'our team' would arrive 30 minutes before the party starts. She was most adamant that it was always just going to be her. She spent the next 90 mins with this fixed grin on her face. The girls treatments were dire. The nail varnish peeled off within an hour and really, no child enjoys being treated whilst all her mates are off playing or sitting around getting bored. Zara then had the gall to ask me for a review whilst the party was ongoing. She left early citing that she'd asked my daughter if she wanted her make-up doing but my daughter had said no. Of course the party host isn't going to want to be singled out whilst her friends don't get the same treatment. Con merchants doesn't even cover it. I sincerely hope the GBG (bloody awful name by the way) team end up being investigated and put out of business. How you people sleep is beyond me.

!!!!WARNING!!!! Do not trust these people we booked a birthday party for our daughters 11th birthday. (On 13.08.17) With less than an hours notice the party was cancelled. At this point I checked other reviews and they have done this several times before there is a thread on mumsnet about this company's unscrupulous manner. They have also been featured on rip-off Britain series 6 episode 8. I believe all the positive post have been posted by themselves. They operate from essentially a PO Box. I've yet to receive a refund although I've been told they are processing a refund despite the fact They have not asked for my bank account details for the refund ???????? Please don't make the same mistake that I've made. UPDATE I've had to repost this as Danielle, Katie Brown, Z, or what ever alias she's choosing the call herself today has decided to report my original post. Please reply to this one!!! I believe all the positive post are written by GBG I urge you to look at the style of writing used it's the same style same person!!! Still no refund or apology they\she are not answering my calls!!! THEY\SHE ARE DISGUSTING. FYI i've added to the email timestamp to show when they tried to contact me to cancel the party. and also a screenshot of the reported post. I have more evidence of this companys unscrupulous behaviour towards me. Katie Brown, Danielle, Z or whoever you are chossing to be. If you keep reporting my post and I will keep updating with evidence to support that it's a True and accurate account of events.

paid £476 for 15 girls to have a pamper party, no music was provided, one of the girls didn't have her foot spa working, no health and allergy forms were filled in, no napkins or anything provided for chocolate fountain, no party games were played until I complained. Generally just a number of mistakes carried out! Not impressed at all.

Easy to book and impressed with the booking services. HOWEVER, I specifically said my daughter didn't like pink and booked the blue zebra theme. This was clearly stated on the invoice. The lady turned out with shocking pink everything. She was constantly on the phone and disengaged with the children and basically didn't want to be there. She said she had run out of cucumber for the facial so I had to get some for her. The manicure was of the same standard as a ten year old. A lot of money for very little. ONE BIG SCAM.

We were supposed to have 2 therapists and we had one who was mean to the girls and on her phone the whole time. Everything was dirty; the robes hadn't been washed and the furniture coverings smelled awful. We were not refunded a penny for less children and one therapist. Horribly disappointing. Do not use this company.

We had numerous problems during the party and afterwards. Firstly only one person was sent to look after the 8 children which meant whilst hair and make-up was done, the remaining children were left bored with just foot spas (some had to wait up to am hour!). Then the chocolate fountain our daughter specifically requested was faulty and therefore left 8 disappointed children. We were told at the party to provide hats, scarves, props for the cat walk (which other pamper party companies previously used provide). We had to tidy up all the mess including emptying foot spas and packing equipment away for the therapist. In the end the party over ran by 40 minutes (more had we not helped tidy and pack things away for the therapist) meaning parents were having to hang around. I contacted 'grumpy but gorgeous' to give them feedback, but after we paid and they have taken your money there is no such thing as customer service. I have given them plenty of opportunity to rectify this issue and respond but has simply ignored us on every occasion. I called and she denies receiving all our emails even though its the same email address we had numerous responses from her when booking! (Strange!!). I feel the party was way over priced, run by a bunch of amateurs with shockingly bad customer service. Please consider this before thinking of booking your child's party.

No Non alcholholic champagne No scented candles No cuticle tattoos No music No Slippers No party decor in a theme of my choice No ribbon tied towels (just ragged old flannels) Age inappropriate magazines Party photos are just taken on a phone and emailed to you! Face mask is a cheap £1.25 tube most likely reused at various parties (erm infection control!!!) I really hope those foot spas are cleaned in between each use. It's nothing special. Oh and Head Office refuse to answer the phone or call back as apparently it's nothing to do with them. Quick to take my hard earned cash though aren't they. More like grumpy and greedy! And lastly - it's cash up front - you know, so you've paid before you notice half of the package is missing. Total Scam!! Avoid!! £350.00 wasted. Cheers #JudgeRinder

Its a scam!!! You will be lucky if they turn up.. and when they do the poor girls who work for Katie the owner will have hardly any of the extras you paid for. The Girl who done our party drove all the way from Birmingham to London!! She also only earnt £40 however it would Have cost her more in petrol. Zara was amazing. But the company is a huge scam be warned

TOTAL FRAUD! DO NOT USE! CANCELLED 20 MINUTES BEFORE party start due to ‘staff issues’....a familiar story to so many reviews on the web.......NOT RETURNED REFUND even though admitted breach of contract. Not responding to emails, calls or recorded delivery letters....TRADING STANDARDS now involved...also reported using ActionFraud to the POLICE. About to start SMALL CLAIMS COURT action.

Posting on behals of Paul BaileyTo anyone who knows me they know that I am not the sort of person to air my dirty linen in public but just for once I feel I have no other choice as I DO NOT! want anyone else to go through the worry and distress I have suffered in the last 3 weeks, this message goes out to anyone interested and is my personal experience of working for the new parcel delivery company PARCEL DELIVERY CRETE also known as PDC who are happy or not as the case may be and as a customer I will say I was also happy too.I have lived here on Crete for 4 years now and although ok like many of yourselves find ourselves on a tight budget and can little afford to lose or waste money, when I recieved my second delivery via PDC we got talking and they said the business had taken off really quickly and that they were looking for more drivers, as an ex HGV driver in England with 15 years in the transport industry I thought that this would be an ideal job for me to supplement my income as had only had 7 weeks work in the summer and as we all know need to pay for an accountant here even if we only work a very short time also would only be for a couple of weeks a month and suited my semi retirement. I have made just 2 trips for this company and even though on the first journey I was very surprised to find that I was expected to pay for all hotels fuel and tolls out of my own pocket until I returned I was paid in full within around 10 days of returning to the island. so of course I did the second trip THIS IS WHEN THE PROBLEMS STARTED! I have now been back for more than a month and after many promises and messages to put the money owed to me in my account there has been only a very small percentage of money appear, I and my partner have messaged and explained repeatedly that we cannot afford to lose this money which amounts to almost £1000 at no time did they refuse to pay me and still have not but still no money. I delivered a letter by hand just in case the messages were not getting through and said that if they did not pay me they left me no other course but to take some sort of action to reclaim my own money, this did get messages started again which ended in a heated exchange of cleverly worded responses to my messages. that night I recieved an e-mail which is now accusing me of causing damage and not doing a good job for the company which I totally refute and have messages prior to all of this saying how pleased they were with the job and economy of fuel ect that I had achieved on my trip ONLY AFTER THE REPEATED REQUESTS FOR REPAYMENT WAS I TOLD THAT I HAD CAUSED DAMAGE!! This lead me to investigate these people a bit deeper and low and behold the lady of the company were known to many forums MUMS NET, MONEY SAVING EXPERT, RIP OFF BRITAIN ( episode 6 series 8) TO NAME A FEW for a previous business known as Grumpy but Gorgeous when reading the reviews I saw a very familiar picture emerge of poor business practice and poor employee treatment and support, I have also found out that another one of the drivers is also owed a similar amount, I am sure that I will be recieving threats of none payment and accusations of doing a rubbish job if I do not remove the post after this has been seen if they follow true to form but feel that I have to warn any future employees that this is what has happened to me, the final straw came after seeing photographs of them having a fine old time out in bars and restaurants even after telling me they simply had not had a moment to spare to sort my banking and I am left struggling to pay my day to day bills, we have now been blocked on all their fb sites and accused of harrasment for attempting to get repayment of our own money!!! Sorry for the very long and possibly boring story but I feel it has to be said

No apologies. Nothing. WHO DOES THIS??? Still waiting for a refund. I was called by one of GBG booking team less then 24 hours before the day of my daughter's 11th birthday, to cancel and rearrange the party. We came to an agreement to go ahead with the party but at a later time on the same day. However on the day of the party I regret to say the host did not attend, which left 8 girls very upset and disappointed. I didn't have any contact from GBG until the first day of the following week. All apologetic stating that they would refund my deposit but it has to go to management. I have little faith that i will receive my deposit refund.

Wish I had read these reviews before booking. What a disappointment and a waste of money! Party was supposed to last 2.5 hours. Lady was done within 1 hour 15 minutes. Pink smelly robes, not the bleu zebra theme at all. 75 minutes for 10 girls massages, nails etc. Thats's 7.5 minute per girl. Can't call that a massage. No nail art as promised etc. A big big disappointment. Don't book this!!!

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING - WARNING ABOUT GRUMPY BUT GORGEOUS Do not trust this business or hand over money under any circumstances. We booked them to do a pamper party for my daughters 8th birthday and paid them a 50% deposit. We also paid extra for the convenience of party bags. The party was booked for today (11 June 2016). Late yesterday afternoon my wife receives a phone call informing her that she will not be getting party bags (despite the fact that we had already paid for them). This caused unnecessary and unexpected stress as we had to run around the night before trying to sort out more party bags. Little did we know that this was just the beginning of one of the most unprofessional and distressing experiences a parent (and child) could have. Despite being informed that two therapists would attend the party (for 12 girls) only one arrives at the venue. One therapist (artiste) can clearly not pamper 12 girls on her own so we immediately became a little suspicious. 30 minutes before the party was due to begin the ‘grumpy but gorgeous' representative came in and informed us that the party was not going ahead as the venue was ‘unsuitable’. The reasons given for this were ‘parking’ and the fact that she had to climb a short flight of stairs (around 15 stairs altogether). She also mumbled something about insufficient ‘plug points’. Her reasons were absolutely ludicrous. We had hired first floor rooms in the Windlesham church building which based in a small village. The parking could not have been easier or more convenient. There was ample parking within 25 meters of the front door. Furthermore, she was literally able to drive and even park her car within 2 meters the front door for the purposes of loading/unloading any equipment (which my wife and I also offered to do for her) if she had wanted to. There were also at least 14 plug points in the venue. It soon became clear that she had never intended to do the party (she even had a male passenger waiting for her in her car). The ‘Grumpy but Gorgeous Pamper Party’ did not go ahead and we were all left extremely distressed by the whole incident. Fortunately, a group of mums jumped into action. While one of the mothers entertained the kids ‘Brownies’ style the others rushed off and purchased pampering products and equipment. The kids ended up being pampered ‘mummy style’ and giving each other beauty treatments. They had a ball doing it. We are so grateful to the mothers that helped out. Thank you so much. It is nice to know that the world is still full of such genuine, kind and wonderful people. We need to ensure that no other parents or children fall victim to this unscrupulous business. UPDATE: They refuse to give us a refund for the party or party bags unless we delete our reviews. We will not be deleting any reviews. They are genuine and accurate and are intended to stop the person reading this from suffering the same fate we did.

I do not believe that this company offers value for money. Grumpy But Gorgeous have a lovely glossy website and very friendly staff operating their phones, but once bookings are made they show little interesting in dealing with any customer concerns. They get their commission and you are on your own from then on. I paid £300 for a 'luxury' pamper party that was anything but luxurious, but when I spoke to GBG after the party, they pass all responsibility on to the 'consultant' that did the party. I believe that GBG should be fully responsible for the parties it runs, and for ensuring that its consultants meet up to the promises made by GBG. They should also be prepared to fully respond to any complaints, rather than passing the buck to the consultant (for whom I have no contact details). My complaints included: >stained flannels and towels >bath robes with sweet wrappers from previous parties >foot spas with remnants of previous parties >the promised 'extra' of a drinks trolley with fizzy drinks in glasses failed to materialise, leaving me short of drinks >one host is not enough for 8, let alone 10 girls - they were left bored There were actually further negative issues, which I have chosen not to share in this review. I generally do not leave reviews, however I do not wish other people to feel disappointed in the way that we have.

Had and still having a terrible, terrible experience with GBG regarding a party we had booked for my daughters 12th birthday party. We contacted GBG through their website to see if they could fulfil they party and they came back on e-mail to agree, stating that quick payment of a deposit would secure the date. We transferred the money via bank transfer straight into an account, got confirmation that it was received and waited for the party date. Our problems arose on the day of the party when we took a call from GBG 45 minutes or so before the party was due to start stating that host was delayed. Further calls between ourselves and GBG led to a number of different stories and ultimately a cancellation. It's now approaching 6 weeks since the party was cancelled and, despite an e-mail stating they would refund us our money, we still don't have a refund of deposit. I do have numerous e-mails referring to 'Management looking into it', however. I left my number for the Director (Kate Brown) to call me back but no luck. Unfortunately, now they have my number every time I try to call the office I get put to answer phone or simply 'red buttoned'. Interestingly, I had to contact the reviews website that I am writing on as the automated invite to leave a review was never sent to me. The reviews company stated that all clients should get an invite so cynically I can only assume that GBG don't send the invite I also took the action to call GBG as a new customer to ask about the bad reviews that I'd seen. They stated that they were fraudulent, posted a long time ago and also posted by competitors. When I stated that I was a customer with a complaint they changed their story. Looking online it appears that I am not on my own. As such I have subsequently reported GBG to trading standards and have been advised by a course of action to redeem my money. They also advised that anybody else with a complaint should contact them also as the more complaints the more awareness this will bring to the standards team. I would urge GBG to look at those cancelled parties and simply refund the money that you took. It appears GBG are very happy to thank those people that put nice reviews on, so clearly looking at the site, but unable to address failings in the business and all the let down customers. On a personal note to other parents; to have to deal with the despair and sadness of your daughter who was so thrilled at having an AWESOME party with her newly made friends at senior school, then have it cancelled at the last minute is heart breaking. UPDATE 27th FEBRUARY Despite very sweet words from Katie in response to this posting, along with a follow on e-mail and the exchange of bank details I still have no refund, despite being a week on and now 7 weeks from the original booking. So - the risk is simple. If you get a host then it sounds like you'll have a good time. If you don't then it's tough luck and you can kiss goodbye to your deposit. I'll keep you posted if I get any movement....

Hi Rachel, I am sorry to hear about your experience with my company. I have been informed that the girls on the phones did make every attempt on the day to get an alternative party host out to you, they were successful in doing this however we couldn't get them with you in the time frame you requested as they needed to travel from our base, they were told to turn around when they were around 25 minutes from you, you did then say you wanted them to turn back around and continue to your home which my staff advised the host to do however she ended up getting stuck in rush hopur traffic and her journey time went up significantly. I was informed that they couldn't get the party timings to work with you as it was getting quite late and this unfortunately lead to the cancellation fo your party which I apologise for. It is not often that this happens, it does seem as though the girls tried their absolute best for you however I do complete symphatise with you and I completely understand your frustration. I am sincerely sorry that the party day didn't go ahead as planned and I would like to resolve this matter with you personally. Amazing party hosted by N & E from Grumpy But Gorgeous. This was the best party ever - according to my 8 year old daughter. Thank you so much for a truly brilliant afternoon. Would highly recommend.
