“I cannot fault the process for purchasing the historic newspaper book. I am however disappointed that because it is just the front page of each dated newspaper, the headline story is always continued on a further page in that edition. This means that on most front pages there is half a story, sometimes just a photograph that means nothing. I understand why this is the case but had I thought of this possibility I wouldn’t have bought it, I would have looked for a complete newspaper for the date of birth. I presume that if I want to research the rest of any story I will have to pay for a copy. Having said that, the presentation is excellent.”

“Really impressed. The papers are printed from microfiche so was expecting the quality of printing to be patchy and from some reviews but I'm really pleased with the quality. I was also really impressed by the standard hard back green cover. Overall a really excellent present. My Dad absolutely loved it for his 80th.”

“We bought the book containing newspaper articles about Manchester United, dating back to their formation, as a 50th birthday gift for our son-in-law, who is an avid supporter. The cover was embossed with his name, and inside was a printed message from us. He tells us that it was a beautiful and welcome present that he will always treasure. There was a small problem in that the reproduced newsprint was quite tiny, and not easy on the our aging eyes. Because of this we decided to present him with an additional gift of an illuminating reading glass! Kevin is now delighted with this combination.”

“My purchase formed part of my husband's 80th. birthday present. He was delighted to have a record of events that had taken place on his 80 birthdays since 1941. He regularly dips into the presentation book to read what was happening on certain days of his life. The volume containing the front pages is most handsome and makes a superb and imaginative gift. We are so pleased with it that we have ordered a similar gift of historic newspapers for our daughter's 50th. birthday.”
