“I was looking for hours trying to find the perfect gift for my grandads 80th birthday and I came across the historic newspapers website and what a brilliant idea! I love how it comes carefully wrapped and with the authentication certificate I also love the added extra of being able to buy the lovely giftbox for it to go in, I signed up to the newsletter and got an extra 25% off! no complaints here would highly recommend and will certainly use again in the future for any big birthdays”

It was in a box, looked great in its red cover. The name of my son printed on the front cover in gold colour, plus his name and a message I had written printed inside on the first page. “Glad to receive it on time as the estimate delivery time. Good quality, really good idea for people who love newspapers. The only one thing is I wish the website can send out shipping updates and tracking numbers automatically, not only wait till I asked customer service, it kinda gave me heart attack, since this is a time sensitive package. “Wow this book is just perfect! purchased as a gift and I am over the moon with it, presentation box is a lovely touch, I purchased the black cover which looks stunning with the gold embossed writing, so much information on the pages, not only did I enjoy reading about West Ham all those years ago how the team started etc their success and their failures couldnt help having a grin on my face when reading other articles from the 1900's! “Really good, better than expected. Don't be put off by the pictures that you choose your newspaper from as the dates appear to be wrong. I guess these are simply library pics? Simply type in the date that you want and the guys at Historic Newspapers will do their best to find you a genuine original newspaper from that date. I ordered one for the 15th April 1971 which was the first day at work for a colleague who was retiring and that was what we got. The articles and adverts in the paper were fantastic and really set the scene as to what was going on 50 years ago on that day. Highly recommended.”
