“This was a very interesting order - a propeller device, a serial EEPROM to accompany it, a 16x2 character LCD display, and a serial converter to simplify the display's interface. The parts arrived beautifully packed, and I put together a minimal propeller circuit on some veroboard. It worked perfectly! The display worked at first and then stopped, but an email conversation with Hobbytronics' technical support sorted it out, and now I have some promising new technology to explore for future electronic projects.”

“Good range of products held in stock. Pricing is very reasonable - I paid less for the same item than I had with another company. Delivery costs were reasonable too. Items were really well packaged with each item in a separate pocket of a rather clever heat sealed bag. Delivery was quick. Communication was good too.”

“The Bluetooth Module V2 works well, with good range. Using an Android phone with a Bluetooth Serial Terminal app, I can communicate with one of my projects connected to the BT unit anywhere in the house. It is not totally clear from the Description of AT Commands that these commands must NOT be followed by CR LF. For example, if AT CR LF is sent, the command will not be recognised. It is necessary to send just AT. It took me some hours to figure this out.”

“The website is fast and it is easy to find the item that I am looking for, or I can just browse until something piques my interest. Ordering is straightforward and I can pay by PayPal. Delivery is usually very fast - if the item is in-stock - and I often receive the parcel the next day. The packaging is always very good, with items protected by several layers of bubble-wrap packaging, with labels to show what's inside the bags.”

“Hobbytronics stock lots of quirky gizmos that I find really useful with my Arduino projects. They make their own interface boards for RS232 or motors or ..other things. I find their range of connectors are fantastic & I'll use Hobbytronics in preference to other supplier such as Farnell or RS. The delivery is always quick (I always want my stuff yesterday)”
