Huge scam, stay away, stole my money. I booked and the flight got delayed out of my control. Showed up to the desk to retrieve my rental and because i was 10 minutes past the time i said i would come, they took all my money and told me they cant help me.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY OWE ME MONEY! I booked car hire through this company in May 2024 for my trip in October 2024. Less than 24 hours before I was meant to pick up my car, the hire company text messaged me advising they won’t be giving me any cars. I had to find another company and pay double on such short notice. I raised a query with Hire Car and they advised they’ll come back to me with a resolution within 21-28 days, which they haven’t done. They continue to respond with very generic emails, completely IGNORING my request to escalate my query and they continue to withhold the money I paid for the car I booked through them!! Jennifer in their customer service (I’m assuming as they don’t even sign their emails with their job title) is no help and completely dismissive in every single response. When I try to escalate my complaint by adding word like Urgent into the subject she’ll delete them in her response. The worst customer service I’ve ever received!!

The holidaycars.com is a full on scam company. Avoid at all cost. There are negative reviews everywhere about this company. They are simply a fraud that will scam you out of your money.

Its a scam website, the cars looks a bit cheaper there but they stole the money and not responding to any email or message. Avoid it at any cost.

Please avoid this company to rent a car from, they will never issue a refund, they are not accommodating, not helpful, difficult to deal with. The customer service is non existent.

Wish I had read these posts before using them. Terrible car hire broker. Any issues they take MONTHS to respond and when they do they are ZERO help. DO NOT USE THEM! And DO NOT HIRE WITH SICILY BY CAR either, both are only there to take your money and then never give you any kind of service in return. I had to cancel my credit card before my holidays because of CC fraud and there was zero assistance from them to assist. When I arrived to Sicily by Car in Malta to collect the car, I was denied it because my credit card had been cancelled. While on holiday I had my details stolen and fraudulent activity on my account so I had no choice but to cancel my card which meant I had no way to pay the deposit. The car rental company would not accept any other method and because of their own policies which are terribly restrictive when it comes to this that they refused to provide me the car without adding a whole bunch of bogus charges. They have no procedure in place to assist a customer when something like this happens which I find totally unacceptable. I was happy to pay the deposit with my debit card but they would not accept that without me buying their full insurance which I also found ridiculous seeing I had already bought full coverage. It doesn’t make sense to have to buy two insurances as well as what does one thing have to do with the other. It’s all just a money grab. And Holidayscars response: Thank you for contacting and informing us that you have not been able to collect the reserved car. We sincerely apologize for the delay in our response as we are currently receiving a high volume of emails due to peak season. Your message informed us that the supplier was not able to provide you with the rental car because the credit card was not meeting the conditions. Below in this email you will find questions and answer that we think is helpful to understand our position. How do we inform you that a credit card is the only payment option that will be accepted at the rental location? The rental conditions of the supplier always inform you what requirements the credit card must meet. Any debit cards, Visa Electron, prepaid credit cards, or cash is not accepted. The credit card must always be in the name of the lead driver and carry sufficient funds to cover the full amount of the deposit. This is one of the most important conditions which the lead driver must be able to meet at the time of pick-up. When the lead driver is not able to comply with these conditions the supplier is indeed not able to provide them with the rental car. We offer the supplier conditions and the general conditions during various moments of the reservation process. To complete the reservation, these must be confirmed for acceptance. On top of your rental voucher, we inform you what to bring with you to collect the rental car and we also inform you that a debit card will not be accepted. Will you get a refund for this unused reservation? We find it very unfortunate that you have not been able to read these conditions before the start of the rental. We must inform you that we are not able to cancel the reservation or provide a refund for the unused reservation. This is also explained within our General Conditions you can read and review these here. We are very sorry that we can't provide you with a more positive outcome. Don't hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions. Has anyone actually got a contact number for Holidaycars.com? It doesn't exist. Try it before you buy. It's a totally Scam. I will kindly remove this review if Holidaycars.com contact me which they won't. Resivation number 7609752336 who hired a car from you and has being trying to claim my €1100 for nearly 2 months. I had an accident, and I thought that it would be easy to get the expenses covered, since I had taken out NoRisk Warranty Plus+. But it was incredibly difficult. They demanded the most detailed information about me and my bank that I have never been exposed to. And every time I sent something forward or had questions, I got an auto-reply that they had 14 days to respond. I had to call several times - on a number I happened to find on the Internet. I got the money almost 2 months after the accident, and there was 288.76 DDK = 38.72 Euro missing, and I can't get it. Never use HolidayCars!

The car rental with HolidayCar was a good price, I paid an additional cost for FULL coverage, my reservation was transferred to KlassWagen, when I arrived at the office KlasdWagen charged me an additional €250, and tell me that the HolidayCar insurance is not valid and that Klass can't do anything. The class officer was overbearing and rude, I paid the extra and requested a refund from HolidayCar, they NEVER replied.

I was unfortunate to rent from this company. They were advertising a new Suzuki Jimmy but instead I received an unsafe old car. The car was dirty, dangerous, with no tyres and the wheel was shaking. Never trust these scammers!!

I had rented a car in Bucharest from 7:30 PM through Holidaycars, paying almost 900 euros upfront (don't do it!). The AeroItalia flight from Rome was two hours late, and I called Pricecarz (the rental company, who turned out to be real scammers) at 5:53 PM to inform them of the delay. However, upon arrival, they said they no longer had my car and could only give me another one if I paid an additional 500 euros. Of course, I refused—this is a scam, as I had already paid everything in advance—so I decided not to pick up the car. My rental was supposed to start at 7:30 PM, and my call to inform them of the delay was made well before that. The Holidaycars invoice clearly stated that I didn't have to pay anything more. I spoke to a very rude Holidaycars representative in Amsterdam, who told me that they couldn’t intervene in the relationship between the customer and the rental company. So, what's the point of their support? Just to take the money? I sent all the documentation requested by the Holidaycars representative to get a refund: proof of the delay and my call to the scammers at Pricecarz, receipts, and boarding pass. I paid almost 900 euros for a rental car that I never picked up. I requested an immediate refund, but I haven’t heard anything back. I had to block my credit card, and now I need to file a fraud report. I hope you can avoid all of this by staying far away from Holidaycars: my lawyer says this is called fraud, so be careful! An update from July 24: Today, I received a hilarious email in English from someone named Jazz at Holidaycars (when they wanted my money, they knew Italian) telling me they couldn't refund me because I hadn’t called the rental company! And I had even sent them a screenshot of the call, as requested. There are no words. Holidaycars is a gang of scammers—I will never see my money again, but at least you can stay away from them! Update on August 20: Thanks to Trustpilot, I’m now receiving several emails from both Holidaycars and the rental company (Pricecarz). The latter claims they no longer had my car due to the flight delay and that in such cases, the cancellation is free. In fact, Holidaycars didn’t pay them because their car wasn’t picked up. They say it’s Holidaycars who should refund me the money (nearly 900 euros) that I had prepaid. Honestly, I don’t understand why Holidaycars wants to keep the money for a service they didn’t provide, risking losing so many Italian customers—is it worth it to steal just 900 euros? Then they write that they want to find a fair solution for all parties involved—what parties? It’s just me and Holidaycars; they stole my money, and they have to give it back. BEWARE OF THIS PROVIDER; YOU'LL END UP IN A DEAD END IF YOU RELY ON THEM, RISKING LOSING A LOT OF MONEY. DON’T DO WHAT I DID, STAY AWAY.

 STAY AWAY! DO NOT!!! repeat DO NOT use this company for carrental at any cost. We rented a T-Rex Touran for our vacation in Greece. They stated that if we paid everything in advance the car would be secure and and the exact model would be available for 10 hours from the time of pickup. However our flight was delayed and when we arrived at Athens Airport and went to pick up the car, it had already been given away to other people. NO car.?! So there we were stranded at Athens Airport with 3 children and no car. Luckily holidaycars had an emergency hotline for both live chat and phonecall. (So we thought) now 3 days later, none of those services seems to be working. For 3 days straight we've been trying to get a hold of any person from the company. Any person at all who can help us out without any luck. We've phoned their offices in Greece, UK and Holland, none of the numbers work. We've tried live chat and emails and also have left messages on their answeringmachine. And we are met by a wall of silence. No refund have been given and we are out 1000€ with no car. This is by far the worst treatment from a rental company I have ever experienced. Maybe with this post someone in the company will notice and finally give us a refund. Or at least I can save other families from making the same mistake and putting their trust and money in renting from these guys. STAY AWAY from this company or rent a car at your own risk. À FUIR ABSOLUMENT! J'ai loué une voiture en ligne, à l'arrivée au guichet on me dit que des frais supplémentaires pour les jeunes conducteurs (moins de 25 ans peu importe que je ne sois plus en permis probatoire) de 40€ par jour s'appliquent en plus de ce que j'avais déjà payé en ligne. Ces frais ne rentrait pas dans mon budget de vacances, ainsi nous nous mettons d'accord avec le loueur de voiture pour annuler la réservation. Le loueur rembourse donc Holidaycars, je demande à mon tour le remboursement auprès de Holidaycars (le loueur ne pouvant me rembourser directement). Il s'ensuit une longue discussion de 2 mois avec le service client, qui est d'une incompétence déconcertante, pour qu'au bout d'une vingtaine de mails échangés ils me disent qu'ils ne veulent pas me rembourser. Bref ce sont des voleurs qui n'ont aucune considération pour leurs clients. Je déconseille vivement de passer par eux pour une location!

I booked a car in Corfu in Greece through them, paying the rental in advance. They left me stranded. When I arrived at Sapphire Rentals my reservation was canceled with excuses about the time. I called the support number twice and wrote 3 requests for help but to no avail. Nobody responded. I had to rent another car. They didn't refund me anything. I am making this public so that others don't lose money like me

Ben gewoon opgelicht door zowel holidaycars als de verhuurder in Spanje Aanbetaling gedaan voor een huur auto aldaar ter plaatse bleek de auto niet aanwezig te zijn waardoor ik een duurder model moest huren zonder verrekening van de aanbetaling maar ja als je in gebrekkig Engels uitleg krijgt is het logisch dat je dingen over het hoofd ziet er daar maken ze misbruik van. Bij thuiskomst contact opgenomen met holidaycars die zouden het uitzoeken naar 4 weken dan een antwoord ik heb pech want getekend enz enz. En als je vraagt naar de aanbetaling krijg je weer geen duidelijk antwoord want dit bedrag zou onderdeel zijn van de huur maar aangezien er een nieuw contract is op gesteld heeft holidaycars hier geen recht op maar terug betalen doen ze niet. ik heb inmiddels geaccepteerd dat ik een fout heb gemaakt en er gewoon ingetrapt ben dit is een harde leerschool geweest voor mij maar nooit meer holidaycars dat heb ik ook geleerd.

Don't Bother Awful Company Started off great website was easy to Navigate, Booked my rental awesome! But the problems started as soon as I arrived at airport the company I had booked Pandora Car Hire did not have a desk at the Airport when their listing on website clearly stated they do, hence why I booked them. So then I had to buy a sim card at the airport for an extortionate amount and contacted them they then sent someone after 1 Hour. So we get to there Depot which is 2 miles away from Airport and they want £500 as a deposit which I paid on my credit card. Anyway once the rental car was returned I assumed they would refund my deposit but no they said will take 3 weeks. So wait over a month and nothing is sent so contact them, firstly they do not respond then once you start complaining magically they start communication. After many hours complaining writing reviews they finally issue a refund. The way they do this rather than refund to me credit card is to get someone in my home country to contact me and then BACS transfer me the money. Seriously who did the due diligence on this company! If I had not been so determined I would never have got my deposit back, I dread to think how many people have lost their deposits because they could not be bothered to go through all the headache. This company is quick at taking your money but need any help and you aint going to get none. I had to do everything myself. The funny thing is the day after I got the matter resolved holidaycars contacted me to ask for information. Simply Useless. Guys you seriously need to look at your processes and do proper checks and balances on your suppliers to avoid problems like this for your customers. Definitely will not be using you guys again.

Very poor experience - booked with them and through NEXTCAR in FLORIDA. Arrived only to find multiple clients arguing with the employees. I found out why, HOLIDAYCARS/NEXTCAR force you to buy daily insurance or they won't rent to you. They state that your insurance is not accepted by the company and they force you to take it which increased my costs by 30% for the rental. Dirty business tactics to make money... DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

If you want to get charged for extra Unneeded and Unwanted fees, this is the place to go... You are sure to get screwed. NEVER AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNHETICAL car leasing company.
