Beware!! As an avid beer drinker, I ordered very specific beers that matches my taste preferences. The next business day I received an order that did not even come close to matching my order. I was certain it was an error as the beer I received was no where near the variety, brand or flavor profile to the beer I received. The majority of the product I received was beer that I will never drink (beer I've had before and don't like). The substitutions are not even close to the beer that I ordered. I had a $200 gift card and received $100 of random beer that had had nothing to do with my order and is very common/basic/easily found at the local grocery store. Customer service was incredibly rude and dismissive. They were happy to tell me how wrong I was, and hide behind a substitution policy that somehow justifies an ignorance to the consumer's taste preferences. I asked which beer they thought was a reasonable substitution for each beer I ordered but they would not answer this question. I guess a German Dunkel (which I don't drink) is comparable to a local craft IPA. Three central elements of my dissatisfaction: 1) Non-notification of substitutions. I would have been happy to wait as long as needed to have the beer that I ordered fulfilled (or have the opportunity to select my alternative beer) 2) Substitutions were not reasonable and comparable 3) Customer service was rude and dismissive. After a ton of back and forth emails, and escalation, proposing reasonable solutions, they did eventually provide a 20% refund, a portion of which relies on me spending more money with Hops Collective, which I'll obviously never do. There were alternative fair solutions that I proposed but it was clear they wanted to do the bare minimum. Buyer beware. Stay away!

Purchased a “gourmet beer basket” for my husband’s birthday. Selected craft beer from a brewery in Canada to be included. Instead was sent cheap cheese and a combo of Miller Lite, Coors Lite, Pabst, Steel Reserve, Coors Banquet, and Miller High Life. I could have bought several 30-packs of beer for the amount of money I spent on this basket. Definitely a scam.

I purchased the ultimate beer tasting basket for my husband for Father’s Day. The package arrived on time, and the presentation was lovely. However, upon opening the basket, we noticed discrepancies from what was described on their website. According to their site, we were supposed to receive 4 different Beer Flight Glasses: a Tall-Footed Beer Glass, a Short-Footed Beer Glass, a Pilsner Glass, and an Imperial Pint Glass. Unfortunately, we received four identical glasses instead, which was disappointing as we already have similar ones at home. The point of this purchase was to give my husband a fun beer tasting experience. Additionally, the wooden board provided was not as described. It seemed cheap, possibly from a dollar store or IKEA, and did not have the four spots for glasses as advertised. Lastly, the beer box arrived broken, rendering it unusable for future storage or travel, which was particularly disappointing given the decorative text mentioned on their website « This beautiful box can hold up to 6 beers securely for travel or storage ». Overall, I am disappointed with this purchase. As my husband is a craft beer enthusiast, I wanted to give him a special tasting experience, but this gift fell short of expectations. I will not consider buying from this company again, and I cannot recommend it based on this experience.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing the Domestic beer subscription for my husband for Christmas. ‘Beers from all over North America’. Right! Delivery 1 was a brewery a 10min walk from our house. Order 2 was late and only sent out because I chased up - this was from a brewery a 5min drive from our house and a big stretch to call it a craft brewery. Order 3 was the exact same six pack we’d got with order 2. When I contacted CS I got the same auto email asking for photos of the products - as if I was complaining about a defective product and looking for a refund! When I sent them a photo of the 3 remaining cans they responded hiding behind their T&Cs - same as others on here, saying I’d agreed to substitutions. I wonder do they ever actually send out boxes with craft beers or do they just constantly disappoint and roll out their T&Cs when people complain.

Totally overpriced for what you get! Paid almost $100 to send a basket for my brothers birthday and he got 10 common beers like Corona, Budweiser, Coors, in a metal pail. That is a 400% mark up, crazy!!!! Nothing special at all. I will never order from them again. Spend your money elsewhere! We had reached out to Customer service but they didn't care about our dissatisfaction, and did absolutely nothing to fix or compensate us in any way. They just don't care ………

Ordered rustic cart for birthday gift, arrived two days after birthday, and in a plain tray not rustic cart, complet e rip off, don't use this company ever. Paul Bamford.

I will never use this company again, I had such high hopes for this gift for my son's 30th birthday. I ordered the flight tasting package and they substituted the flight paddle (the key ingredient to this package) with a small paddle (only holds 2 glasses not the 4 that come with it) with a bottle opener on it. The beer that comes with this package are cans! When I addressed my dissatisfaction with the substitution they hid behind their disclaimers regarding substitutions instead of doing the right thing and finding a better substitution. Do not use this company!!!

Delivery company is canpar in Edmonton they are terrible. I wouldn’t order again unless they used a different delivery company.

I rarely ever give bad reviews. I know that companies are struggling. But this has infuriated me. I bought my husband the Mystery Craft Beer subscription for Christmas. The box arrived as requested. When he opened up the box on Christmas day the 6 beer selections contained at least 3 that were not craft beer and were brewed by one of the top 3 breweries in the world: A Bud, Moosehead and a Red Stripe. When I emailed them to see if they could improve on the next box (I think if there is a problem they should have an opportunity to make it up) they did not respond. When I finally found a phone number I was prompted to press 1 for a call back because the wait times for customer service was long. As soon as I pressed 1 I was immediately called back only to be placed on hold for 10 plus minutes...then the call was disconnected. This happened THREE times! So emailed their customer service only to receive a form letter asking me to send them photos of "the damaged beer". They did not even read the email. So I went to try to find my account where I placed the subscription to see if there was any place to it did not exist. I then signed up to register my account and the link sent by email was not active. So I give up. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I urge you to find another company for a craft beer subscription as they do not help you when you need it and apparently do not stand by their product. They also clearly do not know what craft beer is.

I bought a subscription for my husbands birthday. It came on time. He opened the first can and it violently exploded all over his shirt and the floor. A few days later he tried another can and the same thing happened.....all 4 cans of the same beer exploded. The other cans in the subscription were fine. There was no visible damage to the box or any of the cans. I wrote an email to Customer Service with my phone number. I don't think they even read my email as they sent me a copy and paste reply. (I can tell as they asked for my order number which I had included in my email). They asked me to send a photo of the box and can. I sent a photo of the can - the box was thrown out. Neither photo would prove anything as there was no visible indication of damage. They dismissed me as I did not have proof. What was I supposed to do....take a photo of my husband opening every can? really? This was either a problem with production or storage as the other beers in my order were fine. I spent alot of money on this subscription. I do not feel you value me as a customer. Do you really think I am just after 4 free beers? Horrible Customer service.

Missed my October delivery No notice, no apology, no gesture Had to track it down and told you’ll get it next month. No! At least send it now and apologize for your F up, maybe throw in a can of free beer! Tried telling us that we only paid for 1 month until my husband had to waste his time proving otherwise. Lost my trust and future business Don’t waste your time with this service - unreliable.

In theory, this is a fun idea, especially for your beer-loving loved ones. But NOTHING was fulfilled as expected and all we got in the end was a sassy response from customer service about their terms & conditions. I initially ordered the Domestic Beer Subscription. As soon as I place the order, the Craft Mystery Box popped up w/ the same price. I realized, my husband would MUCH rather have that. This was my hasty mistake, of course, but I called customer service first thing in the morning, but no response. So I emailed and got a quick response. The website says deliveries go out the first Monday of the month. It did not. It went out the next day, which was the last week of July. So it was too late to cancel the first box, but CS was very helpful and said, no problem, we'll change you to the Craft Mystery Box for the remaining 2 months. Great! Nope. Come September, mid-month, still nothing. So I checked tracking. It had gotten stuck in processing. OK, no big deal, it happens. I contact CS again, they'e very helpful and apologetic and get the order shipped. We receive it quickly, in like 2-3 days! BUT, we got the exact same box as before, which didn't even include any domestic beers, but rather mass-produced imports (Corona, Fosters, Heineken, etc.). AND, they sent 2 boxes at once - so 2 months worth of boxes at the same time, containing mostly the same beers. So I contact CS again - Oops, another mistake. Not a single craft beer has existed yet. And that's when it went downhill. CS now claims I requested to have the next 2 boxes delivered together. When I asked for proof, they ignored that question entirely. Now they start spitting out their fine print in their terms & conditions, including stuff like "in RARE cases entire boxes need to be substituted" and finished off with, "We are sorry if you are not pleased with the selection of beers, but there is nothing we can do about it at this point." They literally NEVER sent a single craft beer (what we wanted) or domestic beer (what I had initially ordered). Only common imports that you can buy at any grocery story. I get it - you're paying for the experience, not the beer. But don't say you have craft beers when in the course of 2 months you, apparently, are completely out of inventory of craft beers??? So in summary, they were initially very helpful with the problems and then did a total about-face and basically said, "F*ck off there's nothing we can do." So definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I bought this for the grooms at the barn where I board my horses. Was a perfect gift for a large group, and everyone enjoyed it. On-time delivery to a remote location, very good hassle-free experience. Thank you!
