“I must be honest. I came across the Institute of Beauty and Makeup whilst browsing through Reed Course (I was looking for a TEFL qualification). As soon as a saw the Institutue of Beauty and Makeup Advertised, I thought it was a joke. I instantly laughed until I cried because there was no way a course provider specialising in beauty therapy would take an interest in teaching English. Can you imagine going for a manicure and learning English grammar and punctuation at the same time? Hilarious, right? I took the TEFL course and see for myself, and I was instantly taken aback by it. The course content was very detailed, there were questions at the end of each module, and the information is what every TEFL teacher needs to know before entering the ESL teaching profession. Despite my positive response, I'm giving four stars bwecause the course content seems to be the same as another course provider (One Education), and whilst going through the modules, it was voiced by a "robot" which made the content very boring, a video with a tutor presenting the content would have been better. On a final note, if anyone wants to go become an ESL Teacher, this TEFL course is a good starting point and I would certainly recommend it for the price I paid.”
