“After I paid a fast delivery of £40 fir a double bed frame and mattress, IKEA delivered wrong size mattress to us!! Instead of double mattress, IKEA delivered a single mattress, resulting now my son after building the double bed frame, truly exhausted !!! and now he had to drive to the IKEA, Milton Keynes store to return the single mattress and regain the right double bed mattress himself!!!
Over the phone, I have raised the issues caused by IKEA's own delivery mistake, my son won't have a bed to sleep on tonight! After I asked the staff, named Kieran to drop an email to my son's email address, and to address that there will be a compensation after we have made the payment in the actual store £40 for a " fast delivery" fee. His reaction was " we cannot issue the compensation until the right size mattress is re- diverted on this Sunday ( 30th August, 2026), even after I told him my son is going to the actual store to re gain the right size mattress himself today!
Then we discovered that in the Email that the staff Kieran did not mention that of compensation which I demanded, and all he writes in the Email was : the arrangement of delivery of right sized double bed mattress is on this Sunday!
We are having important guest coming from Germany next Tuesday, that's why we drove all the way to IKEA Milton Keynes, the actual store plus paid £40 for a fast delivery service, after all these hustle, we could not obtain the service that we deserved as a customer!!! Human do make mistakes!!! But it is the poor quality management and the after sale services in IKEA , resulting we as the customers had to deal with the unpleasant consequences ( I had to hold for at least 12 minutes to get through the human staff, Kieran, and yet, there was still no solution to us but imposed the IKEA company policies to us!!: I could not speak to the manager!! The right sized mattress cannot be delivered unill Sunday!!!)in which I shall not ever shop with such a Mega Store, who is only interested to take my money but regardless to the inferior customer services!!!”
“I looked up local sofa frame online. Beware, nowhere did it say that you have to drive to an additional location on a trading estate to pickup. A nice lady supported on entry to the main store. We lost Coventry which was all under one roof. The system is not customer friendly. I therefore coulgo back to have lunch in the cafe as planned as roads now gridlocked and returned home, one hours drive. Get your act together ikea. You must be making enough profit for this.”
