“The inserts weren’t too difficult to place and have made a huge difference in reducing outside highway noise. Love that they are barely noticeable once in place so don’t detract from the window view or appearance at all.”

“Wow! A company that is honest and transparent about their terrific product. Thank you! Received my window inserts this morning. They work well cutting road noise dramatically. Easy to install. But most of all doing business with them has been an uplifting pleasure. Warms my heart to see honest,dedicated people making the world a more peaceful place!”

“From start to finish, working with Indows has been a great experience. They made sure that the measurements I took were accurate so that the finished product fit perfectly. The Indows, definitely reduce the sound out on the street. In a small guest room inn our Inn in San Francisco, the need to open the window and air out rooms is a necessity so we will see how suitable the inserts are in the long run.”

“I am very grateful to have found and purchased Indow dor several problematic windows in my 1909 house. Wanting to retain the stained and other leaded design windows but making them more weather efficient, Indows solved the problem. I just popped them in and viola! Service was also terrific. I do have to adjust the seal occasionally on one of the picture windows but it is no problem.”

Chastity, We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the noise reduction you were expecting. In most such cases, the fit/seal is the issue. We are reaching out now to walk you through the fit troubleshooting process. Factors such as the space between the inserts and the window can affect noise reduction performance. As every sound environment is unique, sometimes outside sound is transferred by/through other elements in the room besides the window areas. “Our 9-pane living room window was letting cold air in, so we purchases 9 Indow Window panels. They were fairly easy to install and have held up for a few years now. They make a huge difference in comfort in the living room. Great idea you had there!”

“I work five nights a week and keep night hours on my days off, so having a pitch-black room is essential to my health and happiness. After reading some reviews I settled on the Indow sleep panels. My house was built in 1901. I have two bedroom windows that are about 6' tall and 3' wide. From the time I got in touch with Indow, through the measuring process, through the production and delivery of my inserts I felt like they were supportive. Reading the installation guide before their arrival was essential in preparing me for the process. I knew I'd need to install window brackets with a power drill and that unboxing the inserts might be a bit of a chore. This made the installation process smooth which I greatly appreciated. The inserts arrived a few hours after I'd worked through the night, so I was ready to get them installed in short order and get to sleep at a reasonable hour that day. As to their efficacy, the panels block all the light. The sound dampening isn't powerful, but I knew that going in as well. The inserts need to sit 4" from the glass for the full dampening effect and mine can only sit at about 2". There is a dampening effect, just not at the 50% noise reduction that they're capable of. The delivery service that shipped to my house didn't call to schedule the delivery as the instructions said they would. That's the only thing that didn't go according to plan, but I was home so it worked out. Other than that one thing, the panels perform as I hoped they would. I'm grateful for my dark room and my consistent deep sleep because of them. I would work with Indow again in the future.”

“I live in a house built in 1932 with original single-pane windows. The inserts look nice, and I'm glad they offer indoor protection to my almost 100-year-old windows. The sound reduction in the street-facing rooms has been moderate. I checked my energy bill statistics and did not see any benefits one month post-installation.”

Jennifer, We are sorry to hear that your initial experience with your inserts has not been what you expected. First and foremost, we are here and willing to troubleshoot any fit or spacing issues needed to ensure optimization of the energy savings and noise reduction properties. We are sorry to hear that our measuring system (designed to take 5-15 minutes per window) required so much more of your time. Much the same regarding the installation, with installation or removal designed to take minutes, if not seconds for smaller windows. We understand these tasks also can include ancillary preparation time (moving desks, adjusting window treatments, etc.) and we recognize the effort. We also understand that it seems rather difficult to set time aside these days. We will continue to focus our efforts on providing an easy, accurate measurement system that produces effective, easy to install inserts that are custom fit to the customer's window areas. Regarding the temperature issue, the inserts have a solar heat gain coefficient (a unit of measure indicating blocked solar heat) of the extra pane in a double pane window. So, you would still need to use blinds or curtains to reduce solar heat gain more than that. We anticipate you will continue to experience energy savings through the next, and many seasons to come. Despite the character of the current reported experience, we certainly welcome such feedback. As stated, we will reach out to explore fit/placement troubleshooting and also go over installation/removal. We want to make sure to do everything to enable you to enjoy the comfort and quiet in the convenient way it is designed to be. While it appears this beginning experience did not go as you expected, we are here to ensure the remainder goes simply and smoothly.

“Indow was extremely easy to work with. They are very responsive. My wife and I were skeptical of the level of noise abatement that it would provide before ordering, but we needed something to reduce the street noise. The window was quite easy to install and fit as advertised. Most importantly, this thing works! The difference amazed both of us. Well worth.”

“I originally ordered Indow inserts due to loud cars in my neighborhood, and after ordering, the culprit moved away. Still, I installed 2/3 of my inserts due to laziness around moving my window shades at the same time, and I am very, very impressed with the sound reduction. I made a recording of audio blasting through a speaker in the room, behind the window pre-insert, and with the insert installed. The results are incredible. If the old neighbor decides to come back for a visit, I probably will not be awoken again. Customer service is great, price is on the expensive side, but the team does work with you to make it feasible, install is easy, and it is much less stress and hassle than getting different windows that wouldn't do as good of a job. I would definitely recommend Indow inserts to anyone having sound issues in their house or neighborhood.”
