“Hi all, I see all those bad reviews here and I have to say this looks like a joke. I mean the membership allows you to go to a lot of events and usually you get a reduced entry or a free drink or both. Visiting one event means you almost got your money back. It comes for 8,95 Euro a month. A while ago I used to go there myself in Düsseldorf/Germany. I mean you are alone in a foreign city and the they offered me the opportunity to get to know scores of persons and I made friends there. You go to the event they introduce you and you talk to people till you find somebody you like. They offer so many activities you can join in. It is a difference whether you say Internations is not good or whether you expect it to be free. Just to say, none of you works for free right? Consider this the next time please. I also see people saying they did not recognise they were joining into a paid scheme. Well, since you have to leave your credit card data this is difficult to imagine.”

“I think InterNations is a great community. I've met so many great friends after I moved to Germany. You can attend events, add friends and everyone's so welcoming, I love it. You can buy a membership with them which renews automatically and I see someone complained about that, but what doesn't automatically renew anymore these days? You should really be responsible and monitor your payments. I love the Albatross membership, it's a reasonable price and when I want to stop it, I just stop it. So far, it's giving me great benefits with entrance fees and being able to attend these small events that I really love cause you can really talk to people more. I would recommend InterNations for sure. I went to this cool origami activity. I took the photo there! It also has an app! Cool!”

“If you’re single in a new country it’s okay. If you’re looking to meet couples it’s a total waste of time and money. They won’t let you start couples groups of any kind. We tried to start 3 different groups in Marbella Spain and never heard a word from InterNations.”

“Exercise caution with this service. Inform yourself of the risk and you are less likely to have a negative experience. Be advised that standard subscription service terms do not apply. Understand that terms of membership do not reflect industry best practice. Understand your financial liability in the event you fail to uphold your obligations under the terms of your contract. Read the terms of your contract carefully. Know your obligations and be prepared to meet them. Understand that you will be held accountable for failure to comply with the terms of your contract.”

“I read the reviews and it is true that there is no way to opt out of the membership with InterNations. I would advise the easiest way is to call the credit card company and say you lost the credit card that you used for membership. They will send you a new card and InterNations cannot automatically renew the membership. Another concern about this organization is the scammers that try to message you. The scammers create a profile with a picture of a CEO looking guy and they always put that they work for an oil company. I complained to InterNations and never heard a word from Customer Service. It is a scam because they charge you $86 snd they make no effort to provide any type of service or discounts to access travel. So why join? Since the pandemic nothing happens except virtual events and you don’t have to pay to do that.”

“Met some nice people, yes, but also, met a lot of creeps, so please don't spend your money by joining, because it's better to just join by not paying and keeping your membership BASIC. Also, if you do decide to pay to join, do note that they will automatically renew you and that there are NO REFUNDS as they stated to me when requesting mine. In addition, the constant barrage of updates on meaningless things in which people are posting, (Usually looking for hookups) sometimes makes it more annoying and time-wasting than Facebook, as it begins to resemble a tasteless Craigslist Singles Ad, instead of a tasteful cultural experience...”

“They obviously don’t care about their customers. They have the worst reviews I have ever seen. Feeling sorry for the ‘people’ who actually work there. They charged me twice and they just don’t respond and it’s very very very expensive. How is this possible? I am so upset about this company. They really ruined my financial situation. Hope you’re proud to read this.”

“Members of this group are associated with Human resource professionals who encourage members to threaten other members with guns . They enter the United States and Canada on the pretext of acquiring a job . The local law enforcement officials who get their pockets filled with money from corrupt corporates from Singapore , Malaysia , Dubai , Bhutan , Mexico , Africa, India/ Canada / Singapore Thailand , Taiwan , China , Poland , Switzerland , the U.K support these groups and encourage and contribute to the economy . Most of them are associated with real estate goons who love to work over time to satisfy their residents and local employment agencies and school districts.”

“Absolutely without question the single worst website/social network in existence. I’m a 42 year old married man, and WE were looking to network as we moved from the US TO France. The level of ignorance by ownership, the lack of effort by the organization, and the overall horrifically ran company is the worst this (me) software developer and (my wife) also a software developer has seen or will ever see. With our experience, we know a few hours in 1 afternoon would change it all, but ownership VERY clearly and VERY blatantly do not understand basic human interaction and they have zero self awareness. DO NOT JOIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE*”

“Internations appears as a diverse community of professionals looking to network, but it is a group of very lonely and highly traumatized men who pray of women. The men are narcissistic, insecure, have nothing to offer and use this forum as their playground. Many of them are still married, pretending to be single!! The majority are divorced 1-3 times, have children, several exs, and are just interested in using women to feel better about themselves. The worst part, when something inappropriately happens, and you report it to Internations...they do nothing. This group needs to be investigated and cleaned up from all the garbage. It is far from professionals and no networking is occuring. If you are looking for avoidant attachment narcissistic people like Sandeep Memon, to hang out with, then join Internations and they will welcome you with both arms.”

“I cancelled my membership. A year later, a large automatic charge for membership goes through. When I emailed for a refund they said, there is no account registered to that email so they can't help me! They have not responded to any emails pointing out the circular logic of their response and requesting they return the money they they helped themselves to. Extremely poor customer service. I recommend you avoid this company!”

“I have been not only an Albatross but also an Ambassador and organised events in Stuttgart, as well as supported events in Istanbul. It is sad to see where the company is now, rapidly losing members and also advertising two levels of memberships, whereas there is only one. You have to pay to be able to register, and it is not said openly, which is really worse that being honest about it. Very sad to see that the management team is not acting to the best interests of the company.”

“SCAM COMPANY!! STAY AWAY! My free trial expired for InterNations and they attempted to charge my card without any notification whatsoever. They forcefully made me an aboiSHIT member for a whole year which I haven't even used and it's impossible to downgrade, cancel or even delete my account I hope this so-called Internations criminal organisation comes crashing down soon.”
