“All ok but if you are going to the Palio make sure you pay extra for the seats, the ones given by the company are completely inadequate and mean you cannot see the start or finish of the race. I thought this aspect was not clear in the information you get from the company although when we have complained they deny this. I emailed whilst we were away to see if the could do anything to help with the view we had, all I got was a phone number to ring of the person they buy the tickets from. I rang him and we ended up paying €1000 for tickets on top of what was already an expensive holiday, we paid as we are unlikely to be able to afford this again. I doubt we would book with them again, I feel once they have your money they’re not then very interested.”

Good morning Julie, Thank you for your feedback on your recent trip to Verona and the Siena Palio. Following on from our previous email conversation, as confirmed then, the original paperwork sent through to you does state the full range of viewing positions that you are able to upgrade to. Indeed all of our other clients chose to do an upgrade so that they could see more of the race. The paperwork emailed through to you at enquiry stage does state that the Mossa (start and the end of the race) cannot be seen from the terrace viewing position. I am glad that our guide on the day was able to provide you with an option that worked for you, and hope that you had a wonderful time both at the Verona opera and the Siena Palio. “Positives: Flights booked and seats reserved. All the taxis we had were excellent, new, clean and on time. Great seats at the opera Negatives: 1. Wine tasting promised cheese & cold cuts to accompany, but these were not available. When we challenged this they said that it had not been requested. 2. Verona Pass was for 48 hours, but the middle day of our trip was out of Verona, so only 1 day of the pass was usable. We would have benefited from your advice to have our day away at the end of the trip 3. Nice hotel but would have been better more centrally in the old town of Verona,”

Dear Henry, Thank you for your feedback. I will look into your comment in regards to the cheese and cold cuts as this was booked for you. In regards to moving your Lake Garda day, unfortunately this tour does not run on Mondays, so it would not have been possible to move this. Kind regards Hannah
