“I was shopping for a fall/spring jacket on the J. Crew websites. Found just what I wanted marked dowvhalf price ($69). Ordered it. It arrived about 8 days later - received about three apologies and notifications about delivery (there was no problem with delivery). Anyway, jacket came in shipping material indicating it was sent by Harrison of California. No return shipping label. Jacket was probably no larger than medium - I ordered an XL. The size label (usually on back of neck) had been ripped off. Oddly the zipper tag was on the left side - not the right as it is on male clothing. Tried researching how to get it exchanged. Got nowhere. Went to J Crew at Columbia Crossing Md - the factory outlet. They couldn’t help me. Then went to JCrew at the Columbia Mall . They couldn’t help me. They did give me phone numbers for Harrison. No luck with that / no answer. Anyway I called my credit card - with almost zero questioning they took my complaint and immediately refunded my charge. I guess my point is - I got scammed by an outfit purporting to be J. Crew - or at least in league with J. Crew. I don’t really have a claim right now other than this was a major inconvenience for me. I hope you can divorce yourself from outfits like Harrison of Cal for the sake of J Crew’s reputation.”

“Ordered Item#BJ869 Stacked heel ankle boots in leather burnished sand fro $97.49 sale price, non returnable. The leather is so cheap and they look like shoes from Walmart. I understood the no return but the quality is so low. What is happening with JCrew? These were just $189 and I bet many people returned them so they lowered the price and made them non returnable. Yuck!”
