Great suits, but delivered late and with shocking bad customer communication.

Well, after reading several reviews, I thought more people got lucky with their purchase (they were happy with what they got), some were not. I hoped to make it to the first group, but ended up in the second. After having my measurements taken by professional tailor according to the J&W guide, my suit was too large in shoulders and waist and had 2 inches longer sleeves. Also the trousers did not fit well around hips and in the crouch. I did not return the suit since I could not get anything to replace it on time, and now I hope the local tailor will do miracles... :) Well, the fabric is very nice and the price could not be matched, so I recommend ordering cheap suit first to get the measurements right before ordering suit that is to your liking.

The hook and bar on the trousers broke the first time I put them on- looks poor quality. Disappointed

I found the sizing very tight and has to trim the cotton from the buttons and buttonholes.I may return it if I don't lose some weight in the next 4 weeks.

On the day I was due to pick up the order. I travelled all the way to the shop and after waiting was told by the staff that the suits were not there and were due to be delivered 5 days prior but there was an issue. No one contacted me to warn me of the delay or to not bother going to the shop. After which I was contacted by the director and was told my suits would not be ready in time for my wedding, even though the order was completed about 38 days prior to the required date. The director did drive to hand deliver them but only to discover there were two suits that were incorrect sizes. When asking for a financial reduction due to the issues experienced, nothing was offered apart from a free return which I didn't feel was appropriate. I am also yet to receive my deposit reimbursement. which is now 18 days since the return date.

Unfortunately this time they didn’t! I ordered my first ever tweed suit from Jennis & Warmann and was thrilled, I’ve worn it so many times and always receive compliments. I decided to order another suit with high hopes but this time was left very disappointed. We ordered the standard sizing of the suit and paid the extra £10 to have the trousers hemmed and included the measurement details for this in the order notes. When the trousers arrived I was disappointed to find the trousers unhemmed. Straight away I emailed customer services to notify them as I wanted the trousers for an event, I also queried about the size of the jacket. I received an email notifying me that £10 had been refunded to me, I then received another email informing me they had refunded the money so that I could find a local tailor to hem the trousers instead of sending them back to Jennis & Warmann. I then called the office for an explanation as to why the trousers weren’t hemmed in the first place and for the lack of care for the customer. This appeared to be their standard practice for when this mistake happens because it is a cheaper option for them. It makes me think this happens often. The refund was appreciated but I felt there was a lack of customer care especially seen as this is a high priced garment. I’m really disappointed with the customer service and how I’ve been treated as a customer. I’m not sure if I will be ordering again from Jennis & Warmann and I won’t be recommending them.

The suite was of good quality but the fitting was small hence the suites are being returned and a refund is sought.

I am not very happy at this moment in time.I ordered a suit jacket chest 42 and similar with waistcoat.All mu suits are chest 42 and fit me perfectly. When the suit arrived both jacket and waistcoat were too small.I am sending both these back for replacement,and if this is J and W 42,then I will need 44 chest.

Hello William, Thanks for your feedback. On our website, we have provided a guide to help our customers choose the right size. We are also available to assist anyone who might be confused. Every company make their suits differently and as such one size from Company A does not necessarily mean the same size at Company B. This is why every company selling suits online have a guide. In your email, you mentioned that your chest measures 42 but your belly measures 43. In this case, 42 will obviously not fit. this is explained on our website on the guide page. We've also asked you to return the jacket and vest so we can give you a size up so it's a little surprising that you are giving a negative feedback. But of course, you are entitled to leave whatever feedback you want. I hope your issue is resolved soon.

Buying a suit online should always be taken with a pinch of salt, this was bought by a friend for his wedding, 3 piece tweed suit. The ordering process is fairly simple if laborious. the suit arrived pretty much when they said it would. Once here, the trousers fitted, although a lack of a lining is not good with it being a wool suit. the waist coat sits too high on the back, the jacket is too long in the arm and too baggy round the waist. yes I supplied the measurements, but these were taken from my usual tailor and measured again. the issue I have is when trying to rectify it. The person on the phone couldn't have sounded less interested if he tried and being told to "take a photo and email us" is not what I'd expect, regardless of the cost of the suit. As its for a tight deadline, I have taken the suit to a professional tailors near me who will retro fit a lining in the trousers and adjust the jacket and waistcoat for me. Personally, I won't be using this company again..

An ok suit for the price. Lovely fabric and excellent pattern. Trousers fit well but waistcoat and jacket significantly larger and at least a size too big. Lining not straight and lots of loose ends of thread. What was initially very good customer service and communication dried up slightly and was left wondering if the suit would arrive, it did though. I would definitely order more trousers from here, would think twice about another suit though, hopefully a visit to the tailors tomorrow will make it fit a little better.

I received my suit in the mail and it came a bit earlier than expected which I really appreciate. It is a good fit, not too heavy a weight. I just was not ready to see it come in a DHL delivery bag , all wrinkled up. It was a pretty poor presentation and first impression. J&W makes good suits , there are many in their collection I would buy, why not deliver them in a box with a J&W hanger ( just to make that impression). I have purchased from other companies and that's how its done. It does make a difference. Its a small effort, but I believe an important one. I do like my new suit.

I eventually received my order well over a month after ordering which after reading other reviews seems to be a problem they continuously have. I had to promt contact to find out what was happening and was told it was because they had a lot of orders, I feel they should of kept me better informed rather then me having to chase them. In fairness to them the suit is of good quality and fits reasonably well although it does need some adjustments which I will get done at another tailors as its now too late to send back and get back to me for the event I had planned to wear it for.
